Thank you for not judging a book by its cover.

Just wanted to give thanks to Rachelle and Yolanda ( probably spelled it wrong) but you know who you are thank you for your help today. you where my angel.

It's okay if you can ever catch them open. I travel for work, get off at 5 everyday and use a PO Box to have medication delivered and now have to go another week without. They were closed last week as well.

"You're nothing but a drifter who found a bag of mail." -- The Postman (1997)…read more This place is super easy for in and out if you are dropping off a package, letters, etc... IF they are already ready to mail (i.e. you printed your postage at home and are simply dropping in one of the boxes inside our out). If you need to stand in line, I hate to tell you, but the lines here seem to always be long, no matter what the time of day seems to be. The workers are friendly and they work as quickly as they can, but this place stays busy and the customers are needy and don't always know what it is they need or come properly prepared. But all-in-all, it's a good post office.

It's hidden in the back of the shopping center on the highest level. And boy, is it tiny. (It is, I swear). When I swung by to mail one package the line was nearly to the door. Lucky for me they have one of those teller free computer package thingies. The line for it was to the door. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU However, it was right by the door, so it made sense to wait. During my wait time I enjoyed people watching these OTP specimens. There were young models as well as older ones. Ones who yelled on their cell phones and ones that were scoffing at the line. It was great. Anyway, I managed to mail my package without a problem. People behind me trembled in their shoes of my accuracy of touch screen selection and knowledge of the system. It was grand. For what it's worth, this place is busy as hell, come in and use the automated system thingy, you'll save some time (and your sanity).

I know what you might be thinking... what can you really say about a post office? At the end of the…read moreday, it seems like a pretty transactional place. But customer service always goes a long way. I recently stopped in to mail a package to a friend in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a shipping box that was the right size, so I was getting ready to use one that was much larger than I actually needed. As I was putting everything together, the employee behind the counter noticed and asked where I was shipping my package. When I told her it was going to Las Vegas, she immediately said, "Oh my goodness, that's going to be expensive. Let me see if I can find you a better-sized box." A few moments later, she came back with the perfect box for my items. She explained that if I had shipped my package in the oversized box, I would've paid significantly more--she even joked that it would've cost about the same as treating myself to a seafood dinner! That interaction really stuck with me because she didn't have to do any of that. She could have simply accepted the package and moved on, but instead she took an extra minute to save me money. It's little moments like that that make all the difference. I truly appreciated her kindness, her honesty, and the fact that she looked out for me when she didn't have to. Great customer service deserves to be recognized, and she definitely earned it.

In spite of driving by this post office location so many times within the last 5 years, I never saw…read moreit until today. We were on our way to another post office, but saw this post office, decided to ship a few boxes, so came here. Parking is plentiful and the lot is easy to maneuver through. Customers park on the ground level and enter the front doors at a much raised level. The lobby is just off the entryway, with a lot of mail boxes to the left. Customers can walk straight ahead upon entry to get to mail slots where they can deposit their mail. To the right is the separate customer service area where customers got into a short line to wait their turn at either of the two windows where postal workers were handling customer transactions. The customer service area is stocked with various sizes of boxes and envelopes, various types of greeting cards, and gift cards, all for sale. While waiting in line, I noticed that one of the employees was slow, and the other one was not slow (not fast, just not slow). Thankfully, shipping is easy if the customer (like us) had QR codes ready on the mobile app for each shipment. This way, all the USPS employee has to do is scan the QR code, which allows a shipping label to be printed automatically that the employee applies to either the box or the envelope and puts it into the bin to be shipped. 4 star experience.

A few weeks ago, we dropped off my wife's absentee ballot for yesterday's (January 5, 2021) Georgia…read moreSenate runoff election at this US post office in Dunwoody. We swung by this USPS location because it was convenient to where we were at the time (we'd just finished picking up lunch at Budi's Sushi Two Go across the street -- I recommend it for sushi in this area). During the time of our visit on a Thursday around 1:15pm, this post office - and as a result, the parking lot - were busy. Even at that peak time, there was still ample parking. There was a line inside, but all my wife needed to do was drop off her ballot, so no waiting was needed. We were in and out in a flash. Despite unprecedented mail volume due to (1) effects stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, (2) the runoff, and (3) the holidays, I was surprised how fast my wife's ballot got to Bulloch County. Her ballot was received and accepted the following Monday, only two business days later. Quick. We used regular postage stamps. This post office is located in Dunwoody Village in a relatively nice, freestanding building. It's got nicer architecture and landscaping than most post offices I've been to. The building is brick with white columns in front. The incorporated mailing facility is sizable as well. I think part of the look of the place has to do with the overall design standards of Dunwoody Village, which is in a generally-affluent part of town. The customers trended older, middle to late middle age. Dunwoody only has two post offices: (1) This one, situated deep in the heart of Dunwoody, and (2) one at Perimeter Village near Perimeter Mall, not far from I-285 and GA 400. As far as post offices go, this one is clean and pleasant, so it gets a thumbs up from me.

Dropped 3 packages off to be delivered 3 days ago, all were paid extra to be shipped priority 2…read moreday. Not a single one has even been scanned into the system yet and nobody is even at this location to address. Filing a mail fraud/witholding of mail complaint which is a federal offense. Maybe that will get their attention.
