(I had to coordinate with the sellers.) The furniture was solidly built and heavy to move, but they used the proper equipment, manpower, and care to see my things were delivered safely and without a scratch. The family I purchased from was worried about possible damage from a truck backing onto their lawn. No problem there either. The team from JRC was extremely respectful of the seller's property and landscaping. JRC played it safe and parked on the city street.

Owner is exceptional in communication and estimate in updates of project and completion status as well as start dates. Only criticism was on pricing - expectations were ~$800 for the effort, but cost ran over $1400. That did include 180 in unforeseen repairs. But still...I could have received brand new hand rail/railing for 2K. I don't yet know the integrity of the workmanship - A few places flecked off small pieces of coating while fastening the rail to the porch - I'll add a calking to avoid rusting.

We had a date established, and he told me he would charge a flat rate of $450. 7 days before my move date, he sent me an email with a quote over $600. I did not mind paying the $600 plus, but I did ask him why the large increase from the original quote. He explained that I had an extra stop added to my delivery. He said, "Candice, We spoke on June 8 and I told you it would be 5-6. Nothing has changed since then. This is the most the bill would be if it takes up to 6 hours. Nothing is due now. If you choose to use us, the deposit is due and the final before the start date. Do you need us for 5 or 6 hours?" I said ok and agreed to the price and the terms, and stated 6 hours would be what I need since I am moving from Harrisburg to Ephrata. Now mind you, I had been communicating with Michael Tinker for months in preparation for my move. He then asked that I pay the entire amount in advance via Pay Pal. He then said that I could pay 1/2 now and the other 1/2 at day of delivery. However, my move day was 7 days away so it only made sense to pay it all. Again, I AGREED TO PAY THE EXTRA AMOUNT because I needed to get my stuff moved and we had been conversing for months. Unbelievably, 7 days before my move, Mr. Tinker said, and I quote, "We have decided that it's best to refer you to someone else and regretfully are declining this job. I refer you to Moving Simplicity." I was appalled!!! He canceled the job 7 days before my move and referred me to some unknown company. I called him on the phone. We spoke and he said, "I don't want to do your move anymore." I asked why and he said, "I just don't want to". What a horrible way to handle business!!! This experience was very stressful because I needed to be out of my apartment on a certain date. I had to scurry to find someone at the last minute, so I decided to utilize the company suggested by Michael. That was another disaster within itself, as that company (Movers Simplicity) never even showed up to move my stuff at the appointed time. I don't know if they were in cahoots with each other or not, but to date I still do not have my things moved. I had to go to my apartment leasing office and beg for an extension, and I explained to them the debacle I went through with both of these moving companies. PLEASE RUN AWAY. He uses the fact of being prior military and that he is honorable and honest. As a military member myself, this is not how we treat people. We pride ourselves on honesty and integrity, and Michael Tinker should never affiliate himself with the Armed Forces because he does not exemplify the behavior of a service member. This statement is intended to make you aware of the personal experience I had with this company. Don't let what happened to me happen to you! July 20th at 6am; yet he says we never had an appointment booked. I can go even further; attached is a copy of the text messages where he CONFIRMED our appointment.
