If I could give it -10 stars I would. They're regularly are out of stamps. They have lost over 10 items of mail, both going out & not delivered to my home. I have reported this many many times to US Postal service and it just get worse. Spoke to Supervisor at this location. Plan to go to post office & take a picture of me giving my mail to supervisor. It's a Federal Offense to misdirect the mail, throw it away or other wise loose it. No one seems to care. Recently DID NOT GET MEDICAL RESULTS MAILED TO ME JUNE 1st. IT NEVER ARRIVED. DO NOT GET PASSPORT DONE HERE! They are not authorized and will waste your time and money! I paid for expedited passport 3.5 weeks ago. I received letter from the passport agency saying that my passport application was denied due to it not being executed by an authorized agent. Why would they waste my time taking my money in my application if they were not authorized. When I went up there to try to get them to fix it, the man was rude did not apologize and was unhelpful. He said that they could not help because no one there is authorized. He sent me all over town downtown USPS & to the library, & had to come back to this post office three times in one day just for him to give me a refund for my processing fee Which he was giving me a hard time on. I had to sit there and wait for a supervisor for an hour, just to get my $35 back. He was rude unprofessional dropping F bombS & muttering Jesus effing Christ because he was upset he had to give me the last of his cash drawer. Could have sent me a check or put it on my credit card. I never received an apology from the man who was not an authorized and sent me all around town. and never will as able to speak to Jason the manager. Although the young lady who helped process my application was nice and she did apologize. now I don't know if I'm going to get my passport before my trip and this is caused me so much time in stress, I had to take off work to try to get this all figured out and now I might have to drive to Chicago For urgent travel passport application again. Times are a changing, but I hope we can hold on to our USPS. We all love getting mail, or at least I do. Personalized mail and not junk mail, is what I prefer. I live just down the street from this post office, so it is only a short walk. A very short walk. I can step out on my front porch and if the parking lot is super full, I know to wait until a few cars leave. The only reason I dropped them a star, is the slower service time. Since I moved into the neighborhood, several of the employees have retired and the newer ones don't hustle as quickly to keep the lines moving. However, since it is off the beaten path, this post office still moves quicker than most. To keep the USPS going, I enjoy sending greeting cards for holidays other than the typical Christmas. It catches friends and family off guard and gives them a grin. I also get a kick out of sending small packages via the USPS. When I find a hideous picture of a cousin or another relative, it is always a good laugh to frame it and send it through the mail for them to enjoy. The use of regular mail may be down, but the variety of regular stamps is up and I am enjoying the variety. I always go for the dog, silly or historic figures when buying mine. I'd ordered many books from a small publisher from whom I'd previously ordered books, and their staff is terrific. They brought the package to this post office on Nov. 28 and gave me the tracking number. I kept checking the USPS web site, but it kept only showing that a mailing label had been prepared. Finally - on Dec. 4 - I called the post office, but the person who I spoke to was incredibly brusque; she only said "We're busy!" before hanging up on me (!). On Dec. 6 I called the publisher and they were very concerned, so the person I spoke to then called the post office and spoke to a manager. That manager assured her that there weren't any packages still left in the package room - so the person from the publisher told me that if I didn't receive the books within several more days, they'd send me replacements via UPS. Then on Dec. 7, I suddenly received tracking information which said that the package had just arrived at the post office that evening (*nine days* after it had actually arrived there!). I received the books today - and although the box had big/dark stains on it, fortunately the books weren't damaged. read more

I went to the US Postal Service this afternoon to put a coupon book in a small package to send to my relative who lives out of town. There was one person in line ahead of me. The female clerk was helpful when I told her that I was dropping off a book and putting it inside a small plastic package. She gave me a pen to use to write both my name & address and the replicant's name and address on the package in the private area before putting the book inside it. Another clerk was friendly when I gave him the package. He assured me that the package would be in good hands once it was prepared to be delivered to my relative's house. He printed out the paper to stick it on the plastic package to prevent any smudges from the pen writing. He also gave me a receipt with the tracking number to help me track when the package will arrive at its destination. I totally recommend this place that has good prices for shipment packages and free mail drop-off boxes for delivery. read more

The reasons you go with USPS are this: you don't want to see it go out of business cause it's old and historical, and it's often more affordable than FedEx or UPS. At least that's why I go. This location is tucked back behind the Mexican restaurant on Hampton. I used to live really close and came all the time. Now I go if it's on the way to or from something I'm doing near Southampton. The folks who work there are pretty nice. It can be a little slow moving though. It seems like most afternoons, they are understaffed and there's a long line to ship something. This location does not have a machine where you can buy stamps or ship anything, so everyone has to wait for the counter. Overall, this location is just A-OK, y'all! read more

David White is an asshole fucking clerk or whatever he is. Don't even know if that's his real name. I called this post office because someone hadn't done their job correctly and my package wasn't at the local post office that serves my area code, so I called the next closest one (just in case it might have landed there, since someone had already screwed up on my package) and spoke to this David person. I was almost immediately hung up on because I was trying to tell him information I had already known(I just wanted to see if my package appeared there since it seems people cannot simply put in an area code correctly) and he hung up on me! Very rude and unprofessional. So when I call back he answers and the first and only thing out of how mouth was, "What's the tracking number ma'am" and I told him and he proceeds to tell me the exact same information I told him I had already knew. No apology or anything, just brushed completely under the rug. I literally just wanted to see if my package was there, that's all. Since it went all the way to Arnold, my thoughts of where it could have ended up were all over the place, so I don't know where it could be at that point. Other post office clerks basically called me dumb for calling this one because, I guess mistakes can't happen. He was also asking me what it was, I told him medication, and he also had this sarcastic tone..."oh you need those right?". "You need those pills that bad?" As far as post offices go this one is my go to when I want to send some snail mail. They aren't particularly friendly but they generally get you through the line in a decent amount of time. Most of the time I'm in there someone is arguing with them over the stinginess of not giving you a single piece of tape if needed, instead pointing at the tape display next to the register. I like the table located in the lobby as well with plenty of space for two people to address or organize their mail. They still have two pickup times during the day but they used to have one in the morning and one in the evening. Now pick ups are only an hour apart which isn't as helpful. However this location beats the one in my neighborhood that has no parking and no drive up mail drops so I'll keep going here. read more

These guys were great. Came in on the last day to mail my taxes and wasn't looking forward to the line. There was a heck of a line but both guys at the counter were friendly and fast despite the grumbling of some of the folks waiting. They were super pleasant even though I'm sure it had been a crazy, stressful day. Also liked that the people take a number when they come in. Keeps the confusion down and allows people to finish labeling things without losing their place in line. Truly Great experience. This will be my go-to locale from now on. read more

Could use better customer service. Was applying for passport and gentleman serving us was just rude. He gave us the total I simply stated " ohh wow, I thought price was different from when I looked it up online" as I handed over my credit card. Gentlemen: "don't believe what online says they are wrong, I would never tell you the wrong price" I tried explaining to him that I was not complaining about the price in any way, but he would not listen. 4 stars because it really is the best kept secret as post offices go. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes in line. Hidden off of the Fyler/ Hampton area, its an older post office but has all the basics. I've only ever encountered one post office employee who was genuinely friendly and God bless her! Made my 45 minute wait at the Kirkwood PO a few years ago as good as it could be. Unfortunately, she doesn't work at this location. As the previous review stated, the PO workers are grumpy but as long as they take care of my shipping I'll take grumpy over a 45 minute wait any day! read more

I stopped by this location on 10/15/2018 to overnight a birthday present for a family member. I arrived at 1:14pm so I knew I'd be okay for the gift to be delivered overnight, or so I thought. I was helped by a postal worker named Sabrina who didn't display a hint of quality customer service. The lobby wasn't at all crowded so I felt no need to be rushed. I made my transaction and ran a few more errands. When I received a phone call the following evening at 6:30 from my family member I figured they were calling to say thank you. As it turns out they calling to notify me that the items didn't arrive. I head to the post office this morning only to be served by the same worker, Sabrina. When I began to let her know what I was there for she cut me off mid sentence, snatched the receipt from my hand and said she would go look it up. After 5 minutes or so she comes back, prints out a money order for me to sign to myself and redeems it for my refund. All the while giving me a look of disgust. The worst mail carriers in the world. Only one gets it right. I live in a two family flat. One address is 6315 and one is 6315A. It is displayed next to each mailbox and door and these people get the mail delivery wrong almost every time except for the person I posted above. For as much as you get paid, they should be able to do it correct. All this causes me to do is track down companies to get my bills paid since these fools can't get me the bills on time. I contacted the USPS and filed a complaint, let's see how that goes. Which is probably no where. read more

This is the first place I have ever lived where the mail carriers have lost letters which were sent to me, (never recovered), failed to deliver mail on some days, and have repeatedly been delivering my mail to my neighbors. I visited the St Louis Post Office on Clinton Ave on Tuesday, 29 December. I was waited on by a very rude, surly, antagonistic woman. I can say it is an example of the worst customer service I ever experienced. I served 30 years in the Air Force, been assigned to 14 different locations to include, Iraq, Germany, Korea and this is this Post Office wins the award for worst customer service ever. The postal clerk seemed to hate her job and customers. She was unhelpful, unpleasant, unprofessional, angry, hostile and rude. I am not sure how she keeps her job? I guess the USPS tolerates this as I read many of the reviews and the comments are all negative. I would rather deal with a robot or kiosk than an employee like the one I dealt with. Like McDonalds maybe it's time the USPS replace employees with a kiosk, it is cheaper wages, no benefits and a machine will provide better service. This woman needs to be fired. At first I thought I may have been just me. As I observed her engage with 3 other customers it was the same horrific customer service. In fact one young lady was there to get a passport. She engaged with the same rude employee but unlike me she refused to take her verbal abuse and left telling the rude employee she would take care of this on line vs. dealing with her. The rude employee tried to make amends but the customer was fed up and left. Great job USPS, don't be surprised when you are privatized because you have alienated the very people/customers that pay your wages. Typically this place is great, but I recently went there to get stamps for my wedding invites. I was asking advice on the cent level of stamps I should get and the lady was extremely rude to me, constantly treating me like I was an idiot. After agreeing to $0.70 stamps, she proceeded to check me out with $0.49 stamps and when I inquired if they were the stamps I asked for, she started talking bad about me to another coworker. I had to wait 15 minutes to get someone to exchange the stamps - and many mean stares, deep sighs, and rude treatment later, I finally managed to get what I needed. I have an online retail business which requires me to ship a lot of packages in one visit. I literally come here 3 times a week and I've only been fully satisfied once. When the staff sees me holding a ton of packages, you would think they would be helping me ASAP instead of letting me stand their looking like a deer in the headlights. And let me remind you, there was no one in line but me. Once they saw that I had a lot to send out they hid in the back and never came out. 10 or so minutes later, one lady came out and took her precious time. What made me even more upset was that she said she was transferring to another office therefore didn't feel the need to put any effort here. She threw one of the boxes down because she was upset that she actually had to do work AT WORK. I had her scan in every package I had because I didn't do the click and ship which I should've done but my printer was out. I didn't expect to get treated like trash and I am warning everyone to stay clear of this location! read more

This is ABSOLUTELY the WORST Post Office in St. Louis!!! They all have a terrible attitude and are rude!!! I went there today to send off a package that was a return. (so I was trying to get information on how to send it the most inexpensive way) I got my number and proceeded to look at the different boxe prices versus the Priority Box prices. My back was turned so I didn't see the 3 women at the desk. When they called my number I was told to come up when I was finished taping up my box....they wouldn't even let me come up and ask about the pricing!! So I just decided "what the hell" and bought one of their boxes and taped it up. Then I approached the counter...the employee called up 3 more people while I was standing there. After awhile I asked "Didn't you say that I should come up when I was ready?" She gives me a nasty look and continues to call other numbers skipping over me. Thank goodness for the nice guy that said "go ahead". I thanked him and went up and started to ask about the pricing and mentioned that I thought that I had been told to come right up. The next thing you know this CRAZY employee starts yelling at me "DID I SAY THAT? WAS IT ME WHO SAID TO COME UP?" I replied that I don't know who said it because my back was towards the counter and she says "OH, YEAH, RIGHT...It's because WE ALL LOOK THE SAME!!!!!" Then went on to accuse me of being a RACIST!!!!!! The screaming and insults continued for quite awhile....it got REALLY UGLY!!! read more
