This place is a joke. I've watched mail carriers pull up to the mailbox, leave a note saying they knocked on the door and no one answered, then drive away. I was expecting a package today that would never fit in a mailbox so they drove up, left a note saying the mailbox is full and they will try later. It wont fit in an empty mailbox so I don't know what they are planning on trying later. Try to call their local number and no one answers. In over 50 calls to them they have answered one single time. Employees will straight up lie to your face. A lady named Maryann or something like that is the worst offender. The staff at the Kane office is totally dysfunctional and inept. These people are government employees and should be serving the public. Instead, they are making my life miserable. They are disorganized;they tell me something on the phone and don't keep their word. My mail keeps getting taken back to the post office. It has been over a week now that they have been holding my packages. We've had to pick them up twice in the last few days and even when we went into the office we were not given all of our mail. This should be easy three calories to stick to. On a scale of 1-10 the service provided by Roseburg post office, at least to my home, which is in town not out in the sticks, is as follows: Monday-Friday no complaints. Rarely an issue. However, weekend delivery from Amozon- huge 0. It can not overstated how inconvenient it is ti have a postal carrier out and out lie. Not once or twice but repeatedly. I'm sure when they enter "unable to access mailbox or front door" because it's late and they don't want to actually complete the route given them, that it never enters their mind that the recipient may be monitoring the progress of an expected package. What a dishonest and disrespectful thing to do. My wife has literally been at the box and watched the status of her package change to undeliverable. MULTIPLE times. A half dozen or so. Most disgusting government building I have evet been in! The outside of the building is a homeless camp with dirty clothing and garbage on the ground and at the entrance. The paper and periodical boxes are stuffed with garbage. Look up at the windows at the entrance and you will see the windows covered with brown cobwebs that must darken the inside. When I have to go there in the early morning hours or evening hours (for work) there is always homeless folks hanging out in there. Kinda scary when they are pacing frantically and talking to themselves or??It is not the employees responsibility to clean up the outside but shit get someone to do it. PLEASE. read more

This Post Office is always busy, which is to say that it is slow with significant waiting times. The counter is perpetually understaffed. If not understaffed, then a poorly utilized workforce is to blame. There is nothing new or innovative at the United States Post Office. Just walking inside is like stepping back to last century. When compared to other private package delivery organizations, it is no wonder the USPS is a failing entity. If you need to buy stamps or other postal supplies, you're better off to go elsewhere. Great staff as far as the folks working the counters. But as far as the delivery drivers they are far from even decent. On a regular basis they just don't deliver packages or we get the mail for the wrong address. What little interaction I have had with any of the delivery drivers they look and act miserable. Sadly enough their work performance show the same unhappiness. With missed deliveries and even wrong deliveries on the regular. Not sure if they need more pay or more training but performance is definitely lacking. read more

Outstanding service and friendly, helpful staff. They go above and beyond to provide the very best service that they can give. Always friendly and helpful no matter how busy they are. Unlike many other post offices located in large cities where the employees seem constantly harried and out of sorts, these folks are the exact opposite with truly helpful and courteous attitudes.
