Piss poor excuse of a post office. My package was out for delivery a couple days ago and was returned to the post office later that night and said it was now "Ready for Pickup" I call the local office and the guy says it was put on the wrong route. Totally understandable, it happens. He claims it will be out for delivery the next day. Next day I check and it says "ready for pickup" so I decide to call and clarify. Guy says that "It says that but it is out for delivery" I asked if I can have someone else pick it up instead and he says "It's already out for delivery". Okay wonderful I will wait for my package. Guess what? Take a wild guess? IT WASN'T DELIVERED AND STILL SAYS READY FOR PICKUP. What a total joke. read more

Sometimes they drive up the hill to my house to deliver a package, other times they say there was no secure location, so they couldn't deliver. I live 1.25 miles up in the forest. Drop it at my door. It's secure. I think, because the USPS uses contractors for rural deliveries, it's the contractor that decides they won't drive up the hill. But I paid to have them drive up the darn hill! So, drive up the hill! What if I promise to leave snacks? Would you drive up the hill then? read more

I haven't received mail in 6 days even though Informed Delivery says I have 3-5 items per day. All Amazon deliveries all come through USPS now in Philomath so all deliveries are 2-3 days late consistently. The mail person will stuff so many packages in my mailbox that they have to hang out of the front. The mail person is too lazy to get off the truck and put them on the porch. I call and call but no one answers the phone. Every day it says my Amazon is out for deliv and the the next day it says it's delayed. I'm going in tomorrow to see what the heck is going on. The service is terrible!!!!! read more

The staff at this post office are some of the friendliest and most helpful. When my daughter lived overseas I mailed packages from here and they did a great job assisting me to fill out the required forms. I also like not having to wait in the huge lines that exist at the bigger post offices. read more

This post office has failed to deliver extremely important documents not only are they inept and receiving and delivering local they are also failing to sent mail and packaging to other locations. This post office requires review and a firing of whomever is in charge read more

The staff at the Post Office in Philomath are INCREDIBLE! However, the delivery carrier we have is not so stellar! I can't count the times I have received a message stating they couldn't deliver when, in reality, the driver just doesn't want to drive to the door. Is the driveway just too long? Is the front door too hard to find? I don't think so, and I'm so sad that the caliber of our carrier doesn't match the caliber of the depot staff. I can see from the reviews that we are not the only resident being disregarded and that doesn't bode well for the rest of the staff, as they appear to be truly customer-oriented. Sadly, there will be no more gifts of money and merchandise for our carrier at Christmas, that's for sure! read more

I have lived one block off of Main Street for two years and have never successfully had a piece of mail delivered to my mailbox. (I use my sister's address and just get my mail from her house.) I'm in a small house on an alley, and my mailbox is not on my street, and I thought maybe that was the problem. After having read these other reviews, I'm not so sure. I'm going to go to the post office in person and request that they do a test and send a letter to me and actually have it delivered to my mailbox. Terrible service in Philomath. They don't deliver. They lie and say delivered so that amazon thinks they delivered on time. They continuously deliver to the wrong addresses. And now they are leaving packages on top of cars rather than put in mailbox or deliver to door. Hey, any random car will do! read more

I am new to the Philomatn area. Mailed a few boxes to a US overseas location. The first time the flat rate box got returned to a Philomoth USPS. I called the Philomath USPS and they took care of resending the package to the location it was suppose to go to. Seems there was a problem with the online tracking number that once it hits Portland it recycled back to Philomath. Well, again my flat rate boxes got send out and again got returned to Philomath. Called Philomath USPS today and I was informed that it was noticed, and the tracking numbers were covered yesterday and resent out. Do Not know why the online produced tracking number mail is being recycled and my mail being sent back when it hits Portland. The address listed is correct but the tracking number sends it back to original location. The service by the Philomath USPS employees from accepting my packages to taking care of the issues of it being recycled back and resending it out is much appreciated! They have all been friendly either in person or on the phone! read more
