Then on dropping off the shipment suddenly the price more than doubled, hundreds of dollars extra! But under time constraints we couldn't just bubble wrap it ourselves and put it in the original box size Rachel had identified, so agreed to the upcharge, feeling resentful of the bait and switch. But a day or two later Rachel called to say that when she went to pack it, she was actually able to fit it fine in the original size box the way we had discussed, and that she was refunding the difference in price! I sometimes ship things through Facebook marketplace or as an Amazon return and while doing that, despite declining a receipt because it was "no longer mine," was given the receipt anyways and told I should hang onto it in case any issues arrive where people are saying they didn't receive what I sent. I appreciate them looking out for their customers and really making the process as smooth as possible! I never leave feeling like I spent a lot of money as everything always seems reasonable priced. But the reviews are mostly complaining about the hours, i spent half the year here last year & EVERYTHING in Palmyra ME has terrible hours as far as I'm concerned. Everything closes early! I'm a night person, not a morning person, this is not a good area to be a night person. By the time i start my day i better hurry up if i have to do anything in town because things will be closing soon. If you want to live here there's no choice but to accept shorter hours. I've had to be back in Florida this year without knowing my return date so I've had numerous situations with mail that I've had to call & straighten out by phone with this post office (as long as it's before 2:00, lol) & the lady has ALWAYS been super friendly, super helpful & made my US mail situation so much easier than if it was dealing with one in a city like the one in Florida.
