they don't Evan deserve a 1 star. This is the worst post office I ever dealt with!! I put in a change of address to have my mail forwarded effective's 10/15/25. It was never processed, then put in a new request effective 10/22/25 as of 10/30 that was never processed!!! now that I moved out of state I now have to put in for another forward form. After speaking to a 1-800 rep she informed me all the info that was needed was not asked for!! I also had my mail held when on vacation over the summer? When I went to pick it up? They lost my mail, a few days later went back to check on it and it was there. the 2 woman in that post office are aweful! read more

The staff is Courteous and friendly. I've noted they are willing to help those that need extra physical help in coordination.

Every time I go there, I always get the best service. They are busy and even if the line is long sometimes they still creature with a smile and treat you like you're human being and not like they are only there for a paycheck. As a town resident, I am disappointed constantly by the rude and inefficient behavior of some of the office postal workers. The postmaster should be ashamed to allow it. My husband was going to send 2 packages for me - the zip codes were obviously California - yet since it wasn't written out he got a hard time about it (she could have just written CA on them). He left angry and brought the packages home. I'll be going to Cedar Knolls from now on. They also should be doing a better job of keeping up the look of the property! read more

Postal employees are opening packages and stealing things!! on 9/22/23 I sent a package from Morris plains New Jersey to Egg Harbor township in New Jersey and when package arrived several items were missing!! Okay, I never write reviews for govt agencies, but this post office is the worst I've ever encountered. I've lived in many places and been to many postal offices, but this one is bad. I recently moved so this is my local post office and if they weren't the closest to my house I would never go here. There is always a wait for EVERYTHING, no matter what time of day it is. The staff is not friendly and not professional at all. It's like they are struggling to do their work at bare minimum. I don't know if there is a staffing issue which is why there is ALWAYS a wait, but they are not efficient or anything in the least. Also, the space inside is very messy with things all over the place, like no one organizes or puts things away. It's a mess. Everytime i have to come here I always start out optimistic, but then after having to wait for 10 mins and then being in such a messy space with inefficient employees, my energy gets drained and I am immensely frustrated. read more

We've never had a lost a parcel with USPS before, but we dropped off a box here and it completely disappeared. The staff wasn't helpful in the trace it appears to gone for good. Avoid. read more

Post office sucks needs a change in management. EVERY MONTH THEY SEEM TO HAVE A NEW POSTMASTER OR SUPERVISOR . I called post office yesterday about my missing package and supervisor akanna was really rude on phone yelling only advice she gave was to call back and speak to the postmaster who never seems to be in office and this isn't first time i had problem first time i wasnt getting mail for 2 weeks they told me carrier was on vacation and just said sorry This post office use to be the best around but over the last couple years it's really been going from bad to worse and to think they barely cut the grass out front and nobody seems to care there. I have never been to a post office that is staffed with such lazy human beings. The wait is always long, all of the women that work there act handling the front desk and customers is an inconvenience to them. Every. Single. Time. The one woman that works there tries to pawn off customers to the other one that works there. Never friendly. If I didn't have to go to this post office for the P.O. box I would definitely come here. Fan of the post office? Unlikely I know, but seriously, this one has an automatic postage center so you don't have to wait in line at the counter while someone rearranges their financial life with money orders. Just step right up, drop your item on the scale, put in your credit card and in a minute or so you're on your way again. I don't know if people are scared of this machine or what, but it's almost never in use. The lobby opens at 6 AM too, you can ship your isht and get on your way plenty early. This tiny quiet post office in Morris Plains has the good machine but the big busy post offices in Morristown do not, life just isn't fair :-) read more

Do not go here for your passport. First, they are surly beyond belief. Second, the people in front of us were told their passport photos from Costco were unacceptable which is fine and then they sent us away and told us we had to redo all of our paperwork and we came back the next day to be told they couldn't process because their photo machine was down and they insisted on taking all of the customers that came in the door before people who need their passports done. And they huff and puff and get exasperated when they find out you are there for your passport process. If they don't have a machine that can take the photos and they don't want to process the passports they should simply put up a sign we don't do passports. read more

Don't ever EVER COME HERE! I will never come back ever again! The employees in that shop were very racist towards their customers especially the employee who is a black woman! She did not even look me in the eye and half the time I try to talk to her, she did not respond and just ignored me. They are disrespectful and super rude. I am disappointed to ever met these people! My mail carrier is wonderful and deserves five stars, but the actual post office is horrendous. I haven't been inside in more than a year (have been driving out of my way to the Morristown post office on Ridgedale Ave.) but decided to give them a try at 11:30 am on a Thursday. And see that nothing has changed. The parking lot was almost full...yet there were only two other customers. The inside looks like it hasn't been cleaned in more than 1 year and the staff were as unhelpful as ever. Only one person was at the counter yet two other employees wandered in and out and the person at the counter carried on conversations with them (stopping helping a customer). After waiting more than 10 minutes, there were 5 customers behind me in line...yet no call to have someone else come and help. What do these other employees actually do? My request was simple but the person at the counter mostly wanted to yell at me and tell me my passport photo was not correct (I did not ask her opinion). I'm not really sure why they keep this branch open. Consolidate with another branch or restart with customer service people who want to help customers (and please have the place cleaned once in a while). read more

This post office used to have more friendly and professional staff at the counter. I had the worst visit ever. They were out of stock for stamps(?!) and the person at the counter had no customer service skills. They have a self-service mailing kiosk that will serve you better. read more

Well the positives are/were my former mail carrier named Anthony who was personable, nice and most importantly competent. The Asian lady and the Caucasian lady (sorry I don't know their names) in the Post Office are nice and efficient. The negatives are my current postal carrier who does not seem to understand their job includes taking the mail from my mailbox and actually mailing it. They actually reach their hand past my envelopes/packages to be mailed and put the mail in the back of the box and leave my envelopes there. This has happened 8-10 times now. I have contacted the postmaster a couple of times on this but I am not sure she informs the carrier that mailing envelopes and parcels IS THEIR JOB! Furthermore, when trying to speak with the postmaster recently again regarding this, the girl on the phone would not let me speak with the postmaster or leave a message for her and would not give me her name. This is the same African American girl (she wouldn't give me her name) that I saw arguing with people in line and then was real annoying to me. She has quite a bad attitude both times I have encountered her. The Post Office wonders why they have a bad rap. Well these two people are part of the reason.
