I pay for a p.o.box yrly. Several times since opening the service, the post office completely closes when I have packages there to pick up. No sign , no explanation, then I have to call and report it. No answer at the 2 local offices in Auburn. They ignore the phone. It has been reported several times a year and this behavior never changes. So upsetting, I pay for this service. Postmaster in charge does nothing, I mean it's only open 30hrs. a wk. They treat this as if it was there personal business, this is a government bldg. We are paying customers! So rude and unprofessional. Sadly it's the same horrible service in Poland and Oxford, Maine has the laziest unethical workers in the United States as my experience. Always excuses to not work and screw those over that do. If I could 0 star, I would. They don't answer their phones. Ever. They WILL NOT print shipping labels. They flat out REFUSE. They don't hold your mail; regardless if you've submitted the hold form. So be ready to have someone come pick up your mail off your doorstep when you're out of town. 2 Months ago had mail just missing from the envelopes. When I contacted them, they never answered their phone. I had to go through a Third Party customer service to open a ticket. They "resolved" my problem by finding my "missing mail"-- AKA the empty envelope.. When I asked where my item inside the EMPTY ENVELOPE was (because i actually had to send that item back!), I was told "Idk it's not in my vehicle." .... HELPFUL, thank you so much! Jfc I've yet to see any resolution to this matter. They constantly send your mail back to Fargo after they get it to Minot for unknown reasons. I wouldn't ever recommend paying for expedited/speedy shipping. It won't get there in time. Expect additional days and a waste of $$. They find excuses to not deliver mail. For example: Thursday April 28, 2022 the weather was H:40 L:28 Partly Cloudy-- they decided "We were unable to attempt delivery of your item on April 28, 2022 at 10:14 pm in MINOT, ND 58701 due to hazardous or unsafe weather conditions. Your item will go out for delivery on the next business day as conditions permit." Today: Friday April 29, 2022 they have decided to not update or deliver any mail. With the same excuse as before" "the weather" Yet the weather was perfectly fine AGAIN today- 50°. I wish there was another mail system we could use. It's an ok location with a solid layout. External drop boxes are easy to access & machines are always stocked and functioning properly when we visit. The desk staff are generally friendly, unless you are having an issue, such as a missed package drop with a card to pick up at the post office for signature required- but they can't find it. At that point, it can get tense & you may have to get rude. It's only happened twice in 11yrs though. We've had our packages for 8th Ave mixed up with 6th Ave but have become friendly with that family & we just swap back as needed. Our carriers have always been kind and carefully place packages to prevent theft and keep them out of the weather. I'd say they are overworked and probably underpaid... What is happening over there?!?....The service inside the Minot PO, as well as it's delivery system is definitely at an all time low. They will simply stop delivering specific routes for weeks at a time and then hold your mail hostage at the PO if you attempt to go pick it up yourself. It's an average post office with lower than average parking access, but higher than average mail drop locations. Staff are friendly, with rare exception. These guys get really busy though, and are bound to get frustrated sometimes! The machines are usually in working order, a plus. read more

On two occasions I have had the same gal at the window. She is extremely rude and definitely shouldn't be working with the public. If you can use an auxiliary location I highly recommend. Parking is tough. Lines are often long. I have had pleasant interactions with postal employees, but they are few and far between. Bottom line? They can do better. read more

There a couple women who work there who are very rude! I was told to come pick up a package. Some went. I checked my mailbox and there was no slip. So when I got there I tried to explain, to one of the ladies what was happening but before I could even get a word out, she looked at me and the tracking number and turned me away. read more

I would give this post office a zero star. They don't know how to process passport application. Call the Travel State first so you have the correct information. Reps don't know the correct process. They ruined my trip as well as my no fee passport I did have and they took when they were not suppose to have done that. I wish I knew that before hand, sucks for a first time experience!! I live in Minot for 6 years and had countless issues with the post office. So much so that I had to call the district manager to sort out where my packages are. At one time my husband had to go inside the mail truck to find my package because the postman claimed that he had no package for me when it was in fact right under his chair. Why a person delivering mail in their own vehicle would put packages under their chair, I have no idea. Now I moved to Arizona 1 year ago, leaving a forwarding address and renewing it every 3 months. Now I had a package mistakenly sent to Minot. The forwarding address is in place but instead of forwarding to my new address Minot continues to deliver the package to my old address even after the 1800 ASK USPS informed them that it needs to be forward. I am not waiting for 2 weeks for a package that has been sent to Bismark, West Fargo, and Minot constantly circling back to Minot instead of being properly forwarded to my new address in Arizona. Every department I have spoken with said Minot USPS Post is not marking the package with its forwarding address causing it to be circling in Minot instead of being sent to Arizona. You can never get a direct conversation with anyone in the USPS office in Minot. The phones are ignored even when the postal workers are standing right next to the ringing phone. I refuse to step foot in that post office to collect my mail, when it's suppose to be delivered to my home. This is the job these mail carriers signed up for, It's not fair that customers have to be inconvenienced, because of their laziness. I finally had enough and got in touch with Consumer Affairs regarding the issues I was having with my packages not being delivered, after I spoke with the lady from Consumer Affairs, she called the post office and within an hour she called me back and told me, that my package would be delivered the very next day, before 12 noon and sure enough, my package was delivered at 11:27 am the next day! read more

My parents and I have a had a lot of trouble with them. When I was a senior in high school they lost something my grandmother sent me. Still haven't received that dumb shit they are. Stepdad was sent something from his dad. They managed to lose that as well. And now today!! My parents were expecting a package and were told they could pay with a money order. When I tried giving the mailman the money order he wouldn't accept it. This post office deserves a Big Fat Zero. These people cant even deliver mail to the correct address. I have had over 5 different agencies call me to tell me my mail was return for having an incorrect address. My address was correct. I have never seen this level of incompetence anywhere. The younger employees all look as if they are on narcotics and the older ones look as if they need to retire. A bunch of bitter, burnt out hags and bums. No professional look to them and the last time I went into this office the employee helping me didn't know anything about postal procedures. I do not know who their post master general is but he or she needs to be fired for allowing such incompetence to exist at this place. Never mail a package through these people and never get a post office box. If I could have had my documents faxed or fedx to me I would have because Lord knows I will in the future. I cannot say I was not warned of the b.s. I would experience at this place. Its not rocket science, it literally elementary folks.
