I can only add to the other dismal reviews. The clerks here are generally nasty, rude, impatient, and short. If you have the slightest question or confusion they castigate and berate you in front of everyone. They lack common decency or courtesy. The interior itself is a shambles too. For example: with many credit card machines, you can insert your card at any time during the transaction. However, with their machine, you have to wait. There is NO INDICATION of this anywhere, until the clerk yells at you that "I didn't tell you to put it in!" You see, it's your fault you are bothering them, and not following their ridiculous protocol, and thus disrupting their way of work. Or if you have to wait in line to get the label & envelope - which should be stocked in the lobby - you get yelled at if you ask if you should return to the end of the line again or simply wait until you're done addressing and closing the envelope you would have completed already IF THEY DID THEIR JOB AND STOCKED THE LOBBY. The easiest solution is to de-unionize the USPS so that employees are answerable to the customer and to performance rather than let loose to their own laziness and lack of upbringing. read more

The worst customer service experience from the young lady at the counter today. Rude and not very helpful.

The mailmen here STEAL my packages!!! Ive had my packages stolen numerous of times...! At first i thought it may be my neighbors or passerbys but it kept happening....! I even put packages to be sent out n a week later the package never scanned or left the facility to be delivered to the recipients.....! Ive contacted their supervisor via email and nothing......! Ive lost over $500 worth of things i had ordered and were supposed to have been shipped out.....!!!! I dont even have any packages delivered to my house anymore UNLESS i know its FedEx or UPS but to my parents' house in LI. read more

If I could select zero stars I would. Just posted a package and got Paula who had trouble reading the zip and ended up yelling at me that she was born here! I guess this was in reference to me being an immigrant who was not born here. I was shook at such a blatant lack of customer service but they don't care. I really try to go to Marathon pkwy Office. Worst group of workers (with the exception of our fine delivery person in the Northern Blvd area) in the Little Neck post office starting with Julie. She told me to go online to find a form. I told her it wasn't there. She was rude and talked over me. Said them I needed to come in. I suggested she correct the problem by getting it online...after all she is getting paid to be a manger. More rudeness and she put me on hold and never came back. Had incident a few months ago with certified mail not being delivered and just being sent back. They filled out card saying they tried to deliver, but never did. Ran after mail handler after she delivered my mail, and asked her if she had the notice. She reluctantly pulled out a final notice indicating they tried to deliver. She didn't even have the certified letter. It's actually fraud... taking money for services and claiming job was done. Went to post office to pick up letter and complain... that continued to be even worse. They grabbed the notice from me and won't give it back when I mentioned their fraud. I hope they clean house. The people of Little Neck deserve better, more professional service from government workers with nice pensions. I will stop going here and will try the Manhasset post office which got good reviews here on Yelp. Further drive, but considering the aggravation I've had, it's worth it. read more

By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The worker was miserable, inattentive, and it translated out through horrible work ethics. She said asking for help to track a package is a "waste of time" for her and made me wait 20 minutes, just to track a package. Ended up just leaving. Don't know her name but she's young and has long hair. Avoid this post office. Please find a different post office nearby for a more reliable service. read more

this is the worst Postal Service in US I sent a package to Afghanistan to a friend in the military, the package not only never got there, it ended up in San Antonio TX. I called 10 different numbers, no one knew how to help me. I called Little Neck postal office, who were responsible for putting my package in transit. The supervisor was BEYOND RUDE!!! He started yelling at me on the phone and told me to contact San Antonio, after I just told them I was on the phone with them and they told me to call this office. Since the supervisor was swearing up and down they couldn't do anything for me I simply asked if they could call San Antonio from a different phone and just have me on hold while they speak to them, because maybe I am not providing correct info. The supervisor told me they can't do that because they only have one phone in the office. One phone in the ENTIRE postal office!!! I have never heard of bullshit like this before The supervisor told me to leave my contact number so they could call the office then call me back. I simply asked for a time frame in which they would call me back, because this is very important. The supervisor could not provide a time frame, saying they have other things to do. I asked can you please at least call me back by the end of today? The "SUPERVISOR" said " I will not take your ultimatums, I'll call you back when I can" Then the supervisor proceeded to hang up on me This is how they conduct business at this post office. It was displeasure... On December 8, 2016, around 2pm, I felt insulted by a young male/mail clerk of this post office who was serving at window, wearing glasses called "Danny". I wanted to mail a Christmas card to overseas in a regular envenlop with my address printed on the back, as I do mail over 25 years every December. He requested me to write my address on the front of the envelop with an angry face. As he requested, I wrote my address on the front of it, and I paid postage, and he put stamp on it and dropped it in his basket in rear. And I asked him why you are high temper to customer, he talked back nonsense to me, "if you do not want to listen to me, drop it yourself outside mail box, or leave this place, this is my office". It was displeasure.... should be corrected in our community. read more

This post office has become inefficient over the past few years. We do not get our mail for 3 days and will get bundles of mail that include the addresses of multiple neighbors. Something is going on with the management here. I don't understand how in a neighborhood with so many individual houses why the mail would get delayed extensively or mixed up. Even after complaining the mail comes very sporadically. It's alarming to read the other opinions here that there may be package or mail tampering. After a week of not getting mail fir a full week we complained and a group of very valuable mail for the house came in a bundle. I think working for the post office must be a very tough job with lots of toxicity in the workplace so I give two stars because usually when things get bad it's because the top people in charge are tyrants. read more

Most of the time it's okay...but just okay. Sometimes they are helpful, but in typical fashion they want to do the least possible work, so if you ask them a question in earnest, you are usually met with a reaction that conveys that they seem put upon even by the most general question. Also, it is truly the utmost in laziness that they care so little about how they are perceived by the community that they can't even take the time to pull up the the storefront rolling gate...when I asked they told me that the person who opens in the morning is not tall enough!
