The absolute worst customer service. Front line staff was rude, combative, and sarcastic. To be…read morehonest, I stopped going here years ago in favor of Compass Printing in Saranac Lake. However, I was running errands in Lake Placid on Saturday and had a simple printing job to do (digital download I purchased from Etsy) which was 9 x 11 on paper. When I stopped in during the morning shift, I was told that their graphics person was off until Monday but it was simple enough that they could get it done quickly on Monday. I ask for an estimate, because I have no idea what it costs. They agree. Great, I thought. I followed their directions and emailed the file along with specs and my phone number. I received an email that same day asking for the size. I responded immediately. Monday comes and I don't hear anything, so I reach out. Nothing. So that evening, I go to the store. I wait in line, and when it's my turn, I give my name and the woman starts looking everywhere. Nothing. I'm patiently waiting, and no one knows anything. Finally, the graphics woman says that she told someone to do it, but they never did. Could I come back in a bit and they'll get them done? Sure, I say. I go to the grocery and run some errands and come back. When I come back, she has an envelope and tells me the print is terrible. Super pixelated. They tell me my file is way too small. I'm shocked because no one called me or mentioned it all the times I emailed or stopped in (remember they have my cell phone and email since I requested a quote, which I never received either). So I say that I have a higher resolution but I just sent it small since I was originally hoping for a quote. And that I can resend. At this point everyone walks away from the desk because the UPS driver has walked in and they all start sarcastically talking about how terrible all of their customers are and how angrier that are by all of them. And keep going on and on about how much people suck. Needless to say, I simply left at that point. 0 out of 5 stars. Would not recommend. Sorry I gave them a 2nd chance. Compass printing, I adore you!! For reference, I sent them a work order for a 16 page color annual report the other week. 800 copies, and they had it done in 24 hours and helped me carry the boxes to my car. Win!!

They told me if I had the sander back by noon two days later I would get about 150 back. It took me almost 20 minutes of waiting by my car with the sander to get the assistance I needed to load the sander. When my husband used the sander it would not turn off unless you unplugged it. When I returned the sander two days later it took almost half an hour for someone to assist me with anything which made the sander 5 minutes late they didn't check it in till 1205 although I was there at 1130. Then they didn't refund me anything on the sander and gave me half of what I paid for the sand paper I didn't use sand paper that they told me I needed to purchase and that they said they would give me a full refund on unused sheets of. They are incompetent and con artist i advise you to seek an alternative business if possible and to record everything that they say to you during any agreement

As another Yelper mentioned, it is very difficult to find communicative and responsive vendors in the Northern NY region, and Jenna at Taylor Rental does an incredible job. I live in Northern California, but my wife and I wanted to do our wedding back where we grew up, in the Adirondacks. We rented a large lodge on Fern Lake to host the wedding ceremony and reception at, and had a 44x83 Tidewater tent installed on the yard. I highly recommend the Tidewater over the standard pole tent if you have the option, it has an incredible look, and all of our guests had great things to say about it. The Taylor Rental crew came out on Thursday 9/4 to install the tent and drop off all other rental items. We rented a ton of items including tent, tables, linens, chairs, wine glasses, serving items, warming box, keg coolers, etc. Taylor Rental was excellent on getting everything to us except one linen was the wrong length, so they sent someone out later that day to drop it off for us. There wasn't a single stain on the bright white linens, and every other item was clean right down to the tables and chairs. Not only is Taylor Rentals service excellent, all of their rental items are new and in great condition. I would recommend Taylor Rental for any occasion! Especially since you can get any other supplies needed on the hardware/equipment side. Through the planning process Jenna was excellent with helping on all of my requests and needs, in fact we probably changed the reservation 15 times! She had a hand in making my wife's dream wedding a reality, thanks again!

We just came back from an auction and I must say I really enjoy an old fashioned type auction…read more We went to the preview. The people were very helpful. They gave us information about each one of the items we were interested in and assisted us getting to know the lay of the land. One of the things I really appreciate about this auction is it's so close to Burlington and downtown Church Street. We had a great dinner then after the preview and went back to the auction. You always feel better when you win the mid and when we did we got great assistance breaking down a bed and I had it in the truck in about 20 minutes while the auction was still going. The whole process was easy and enjoyable. The free lunch while they gave the auction wasn't added. Plus pretty good pizza. A little soda coffee in the morning. Just enough to keep you going. The auctioneers kept it at a good cadence about one item a minute and you were never bored. An auction really is about the things you buy and we got what we wanted.. but it's also about the people. Friendly and knowledgeable helpful. All in all a very easy process.
