I have never had such an awful experience with a post office as I have had with the Hereford, AZ post office. We have lived at our residence for over a year and this past week 2 packages have been returned to sender. (not amazon) The tracking numbers indicated 3 reasons 1) no such number ... really? After all of this time you've delivered my mail you suddently cant find my address? 2) customer moved without a forwarding address. .. ummm NO I didn't!!! 3) forwarding order expired... ummm NO, there is no forwarding order on that address. If I never had to deal with this post office again my life would be so much. less stressful. Not to mention the sour-puss clerk at the counter. She's the worst of customer service any one would ever want to experience! Hereford, You can do better!!! read more

Please disregard my previous email. The larger PO delivery boxes need a key to open but also need a PULL to open. By just turning the key, doesn't open the box door. read more

First idk how the grouchy old woman got hired, she should not be handling people. Second this place is a mess it's gone down hill and someone needs to come in and show them customer service, organization etc. I have to drive out of my way to get a package that says it's available for pick up today, just to have the grouch tell me it's not there when she barely looked through the packages and says Mondays are bad, whelp that's not my problem, if it states on slip my package can be picked up it needs to be available and this isn't the first time! This place is a total sh#% show!!! I regularly get other people's mail, like on a weekly basis, so I can only assume that some of my mail is going to other people. Every time I go to pick up a package they struggle to find it and have to call me later when they have time to look. It's a 40 minute drive round trip from my house so when I go to the post office to pick something up, which I received a notice it was ready for pick up I expect it to be there. This has happened multiple times. I'm still waiting to hear if they found the last one and its been 2 days. The postmaster is rude and literally sneers. at me when I'm unlucky enough to come into contact with him. The poor woman who works there clearly needs help and is constantly running around trying to do the work of several people. Clearly I am not the only one who feels this way. Why is this allowed to continue? I hate that I have no choice but to deal with them. That postmaster should be fired and replaced with someone kind and competent. read more

The sheer amount of mail that gets delivered to the wrong house is astounding. I receive medications in the mail from the VA that are routinely delivered to the wrong address. I'm lucky that my neighbors know to bring me my medication. It has happened AGAIN. The VA says the medication was delivered.....but it wasn't delivered to me. Now I'm out of my medication AGAIN thanks to this post office. Getting a PO box did not help anything. Mail is still being put in the wrong box. I wish I had ANY other way to get my medications from the VA, but here we are. I'm strongly considering opening a PO box in Sierra Vista to avoid this post office all together. read more

Worst post office ever. My mail is on a ten day hold because they say my mailbox was full. Received this notice in a empty mailbox. Same people that wanted me to pay to put a concert slab down so they could put up a new community box. If I pay to have packages and mail delivered to my address how can they get away with not delivering it. I could maybe see these problems if this was all free. But we pay taxes and pay for mail to be delivered. Not sure why they can't do there job properly. Not sure why the postmaster general doesn't do something about when they get complaints. And yes I make complaints on the website all the time. I would have given zero stars but won't let me. read more

I have no idea who has been doing the route in Hereford the past couple days but they need to be talked to first off they said they attempted to deliver my package a couple days ago and it also said they left a note but I was home and when I went outside to look there was no note on my house so I honestly think they just skipped over my house in general. And then right now at 5:13pm they drive passed my house where the speed limit is 25 going atleast 50mph. read more

We have lived here for 18 years and have always had my mail and boxes delivered to my home. That is until this new post master came. He will not let us have any boxes or priority mail delivered to our home. He says it is a dirt road they need a 4 wheel drive and that is that. We have never owned a 4 wheel drive and do just fine. He is very rude when talking to us and others. I fell the nice clerks are afraid of him. There about 33 or so homes out here on our street and they have told us the post office does not put in locking mail boxes any more. But I have seen some new ones go up not far from us While our regular mail lady Vicky was off we have not received all of our mail. At times we received everyone's in our box. So my Husband has taken his time to put it all in the right boxes. When he checked on this with the post master.. the post master was still rude! We have missing checks and bill's. And other mail too. For we were always getting someone else mail in our box. Now that Vicky is back things are much better. We still can't get our priority to our home. It is vey hard because I am disabled and getting out to the Post office is very hard. This is very sad for the Hereford Post Office use to be so nice. At least UPS & Fed-EX don't have a problem delivering our mail to us. read more

Drove 15 minutes after being on hold for an hour to try to get a package that I know they won't deliver and they wouldn't try to help me at all. Missing packages shipped two separate days???????????????? Carrier says keys to the locked parcel lockers are missing and we have to wait till next week for someone from Phoenix to come and open them to see if the packages are in there. No more USPS shipping for us. read more

I have lived in Hereford for over 10 years at the same address, my mail goes to a locked box. They have lost my mail, as well as my packages, so I signed up on USPS.COM for informed delivery, yesterday it showed my package was delivered to my mailbox at 1:43 I figuered it was small so could fit in my box so I check this morning no oackage. Once again something lost from the Hereford post office. It's good for a while no problems then all of a sudden same mismanagement of mail. Never in my life until the past 3 years have I ever had a problem getting my mail. I would prefer to give them zero stars but figured they need at least one for their effort of screwing up read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I have lived in Hereford at 2 different addresses for 15 years and have had so many different problems its horrible. I have never had problems like these at any other place I have lived and had mail delivery. I have had other peoples mail in my box, my mail delivered to other peoples boxes including checks and other important documents. I have a box outside front of my gate at my property and can have parcels/mail delivered to this box because it is in the required distance allowed for delivery. It does not matter what post master I talk to at the Hereford Post Office they can never get this problem resolved. I have the notices left in my mail box and then I have to drive to the post office that is not close to pick up the parcel that should have been left in the box outside of the property gate. I just had it happen again and this time it is meds that my dog needs since she ran out today and I have to give it to her again early tomorrow morning. I am sooooooo disappointed in the irresponsibility, incompetency and disregard of their customers. The sad part about it is that we really enjoy living in the Hereford area but need to have a competent running post office. read more
