We have been using this post office for work the past two years as we have a PO Box. Everyone is friendly and helpful. At times I've gone up to the counter before collecting mail from the PO Box and they have run over to get it for me , without me asking. They are considerate of their customers. Older looking post office, but kept clean. PO Boxes are probably the original ones but are easy to access. While opening our box I always think how old they are and how many people used it prior. They sell greeting cards, gift cards, packing items, money orders and you can even get cash back from your ATM card. They have their own parking lot, which has handicapped spots if needed. People fly in and out, just be alert. read more

It is WAY too often that I don't get all the weekly circulars specifically ShopRite. This happens to quite a few of us in Hazlet. It usually happens when there are coupons for FREE items. What is up Hazlet Post Office? I'm missing my circular this week, again. Tired of this. read more

Rude employees, one of them mumbled an obscenity at me after I said thank you for helping with an issue, I drive farther to another location so I don't have to go in here. They have also sent my packages back to my address multiple times for being overweight but I weight them with a scale before I label them. read more

Hours of operation are different on line than at the building. Needs to be fixed. Tired of going there and they are already closed.

I was very disappointed at the way the lady at the counter treated me yesterday. Disrespectful, rude...I have never experienced this kind of treatment. Since it's Christmas time, the line was long, as expected, I was waiting in line with 5 postmarked packages, 7 people in front of me. When it was my turn, I started to hand the packages to the lady to be scanned, because I just needed a receipt. She very rudely claimed that since it was Christmas time they do not scan packages and that I had to drop them off at the end of the counter. The scanning would have taken less time than her selling one stamp! Furthermore, I had been to the post offices in Navesink and Atlantic Highlands, where I usually go, one and two days before and they did not have any issues with scanning my packages. read more

Nice post office. The regular staff is excellent, sometimes they are short handed but it's not their fault, blame it on Gov cuts. All in all they are friendly and fast. I've been to the post office in NYC ( which is the worst attitude and super slow). Would Gladly ship my mail from Hazlet post office any day. read more

This place is awful. Twice they have randomly decided to close 20mins early. They have new hours and are supposed to close at 530pm, I went the other day at 510pm and they had locked up already!!!! I just went to check my po box because I knew a package had been delivered and it was not there, nor was there a yellow slip which they are supposed to give you if they can't fit the box. The nasty black lady at the desk argued with me that there was no package, her boss does the boxes so he would magically know off the top of his head, I'm wrong etc etc talking to me like I'm a friggin moron. Then when I showed her the tracking that I used which was from THEIR website and clearly stated the package had been delivered here and the day and time, she then said I must have missed it and it should be in my box and it isn't her problem. Luckily the "manager" looked again and OH LOOK my package was there. He asked where my yellow slip was and I was like ask your employees cuz it wasn't in my box. Nice friendly staff greated me as I came in. They have the usual 60s post office style and decor. The person at the counter was quick and pleasent. My only complant is that there was only one person to manage the steady Saturday trafic. read more

They are open until 6:30pm which is very convenient, however... the black lady that works there is so rude. Starting with she had no idea how to greet or reply to a "good afternoon", although that is not the important matter here. My one star is because I had several small packages (17 to be more specific, all already labeled and ready to ship). The store was empty (I was the only customer literally) so I asked for my receipt. I better didn't, that lady rambled at me, saying that when is that many packages they don't give receipts(???) I told her that it was my right to have my receipt, that please I needed her to print it. She said, "no post office do that!", which is a lie since all the post offices I had been in similar situations do it, without problem. And again, it is my right as a costumer paying for a service... She ran out of arguments so she finally printed it. Such an uncomfortable and unnecessary situation. read more

Who ever delivered my mail today, April 16 2018 during the heavy wind and rain did not put my mail in the mail box and half of it blew all over my front lawn. I only hope that I found it all. The carrier should have been more careful with this kind of weather. 30 Willow St. Hazlet read more

The staff is awful. There's no point in even saying "Hi" or "How are you?" to them because they won't even respond to it. They'll just stare at you. Don't even bother saying "Thank you" because they won't even acknowledge it. They'll get annoyed just from you standing in line. They'll even give you dirty looks. I would take the effort to drive to a different USPS store. Don't even bother with this one. read more

There is ONE nice employee there...the lovely blonde. The others are not helpful and down right nasty. I couldn't get 1 international clear shipping window, because the head postmaster tells me they "cut back" on supplies. I told him I paid $24 on line for the international labels and asked how to affix them otherwise. He said he didn't know..."maybe tape them". Seriously?!? Tape three paper forms and that will stay across country boarders on multiple planes? I think not. I then asked him how he would affix them had I paid for the label there, and he tells me , " in an international clear window". Since the line was then forming...guess what? He has them! And, reluctantly gave me one! Ridiculous! They are free on line I have now found out and I will NEVER STEP FOOT IN THERE AGAIN. You'd think I was trying to rob them of their precious free supplies. They give out boxes, envelopes, everything else for priority mail.....but if you want a clear window.....you get a lot of lip service and no help. Done! On line is the way to go with a free pick up. This isn't the first or even second time I've met with the nasty and unhelpful people there. Watch out for the brunette woman. She is downright SCARY to deal with . I've heard her bark at numerous customers including my husband. If you hate your job, find another,. Don't make people dread patronizing your public office place of work.
