This is the worst place to go in Gold Beach. Overly crowded and busy, with a staff that is slow and rude. Even going to check my PO box is a chore. The Mail is slow and consistently late, and often lost. Government work on the lowest level. I dread going there. read more

They NEVER answer their phones. Called them six times last week and 6 times today. Finally went into their front counter. To experiment. While I was there there was nobody at the counter, nor, in line waiting. I called from the front counter, twice, and even though there were no other customers they never answered. I could hear employees laughing and talking in the back. The Gold Beach Post Office has got to do a better job and quit hiring mentally disabled incompetent employees. read more

The staff and the service are top notch. They take the time to answer any questions and are cheerful and polite.

Gold Beach Oregon, This Post office must be the Worst in the USA. The Staff does not care , I have had Credit Cards, and DVM letters stolen here. They dont care. They refuse to Scan Packages we send out. They have lost mail and they sent a package to China that was being shipped to Canada. It took over 3 months and I am still waiting on a refund for the Label and Lost items in the Package.. The Turn over rate here suggests upper management is the root cause here.. Just about every 3 months they rotate in new people that have no clue. Just do not use this Post office if you can. USPS needs to shut this unit down!. read more

First off - you should be able to leave a zero star review. Because that's what this experience was. I ordered a pair of boots off of Amazon, they were supposed to deliver Friday the 18th. They never showed up.. I checked the tracking and sure enough it said the package was in Gold Beach. Didn't get delivered Saturday. I messaged Amazon about it on Monday when the package still had not arrived.. but the tracking had updated to show "delivery attempted, mailbox full." It's a pair of boots - obviously never going to fit in a mailbox. They should have been left at my door like the hundreds of other packages are. I explained to Amazon what happened and they contacted USPS themselves to ensure the package be left at my front door - not to try to fit it in a tiny mailbox. USPS confirmed it would be redelivered Tuesday. ..... Never showed. This morning (Wednesday, the 30th) I went in to the Post Office myself. The lady was beyond rude. I had printed out the tracking number and info.. I started with I am trying to find my missing package, it says it was attempted to be delivered but was not... B: Well it wasn't be I'm not the driver, I'm in here. C: I understand it wasn't personally you, I'm just trying to figure out what happened. B: well like I said I wasn't there.. C: ok anyway can you help me find my package? I hand her the tracking info.. B: she was like well how do I know it's your package? Where is your slip... C: The mailman did not leave one.. B: They should have... C: yes I'm aware of this, but they didn't. Do you want to see my ID? B: well yeah I'll have to. C: Ok here it is B: What is your address on the box? (still holding my ID) C: the same as my ID - I repeated it again anyway .. B: Ok I'll see if I can find it. She then comes out with the giant box, and says what happened was it showed up too late on Friday (Ok fair enough..) What about Saturday? No info on why it was not delivered Saturday. What about Monday? The truck was too full to take your extremely large box, this is a bit much to send in regular mail... Why did you scan in you tried to deliver it then? - The machine only gives us so many options ya know - No, no I don't know. Ok why wasn't it delivered on Tuesday?? Because you didn't reschedule the delivery. ..... by now I'm beyond irritated. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD I RESCHEDULE A DELIVERY THAT HASN'T EVEN BEEN ATTEMPTED?!?! You couldn't fit it on your truck one day so you just hold it until I'm magically supposed to know I need to schedule it? I ordered it, that was me scheduling it. She then gets snotty. I ask for a manager.. B: Listen miss it's a super simple process, people do it all the time .. C: HOW?! Not everything you order sends you a tracking number, how would we even know to reschedule a delivery? B: Once a delivery is attempted and not successful, a new delivery must be scheduled. C: You just told me you never even attempted to deliver it, that was your only "option" on your machine. B: That's the way it works doll. C: So you're telling me you would have just held my package until the time limit and then sent it back?? - B: yes that's how that works. ..... I'll save you the rest because it was really not pleasant and I may have lost my temper. Never again. Next time I'll just request a refund from whomever I ordered from or a new order sent... via UPS or FEDEX. PS.. I made her name "B" - because she was one. read more

I have sent mail/packages twice in the last four months to a friend who lives in Gold Beach to have the idiots behind the counter flat lose them, the mail arrives in their incapable hands and they give it to someone else or lose it, and not care. Worst post office I've ever had to deal with. They rarely actually complete delivery. When we go into retrieve packages that they didn't bother to even try to deliver to begin with they refuse to give us our packages. On top of poor service both my husband and I have been run off the road by the postal delivery drivers in the wrong lane while driving. read more

The people that work at this post office are fantastic, really nice people. I ship almost every day, so I have a chance to see all the garbage and bitterness that the employees here have to deal with from totally irrational and incredibly self-centered lowlifes. I have seen COUNTLESS TIMES a person scream at one of the employees here, and it's ALWAYS bcuz the customer forgot their ID, or wants to access someone else's mailbox without the appropriate credentials, or wants the employee to look the other way on a HUGE error in judgment that the customer made. People feel like it is "their right" to scream at someone just because they don't get what they want, regardless of the fact that the CUSTOMER made the mistake! Embarrassing. The employees here are REALLY NICE PEOPLE. It's sad they have to deal with the same losers who attack them in person then writing a mean spirited, TOTALLY INACCURATE review. This is an AUTHENTIC review from a real actual person who sees what these people deal with every day. More folks should write about what a great job they do---in spite of the garbage they deal with in their workplace that legitimately ALMOST NOBODY ELSE has to deal with. read more

Awful! As a Gold Beach resident, I have had my packages lost (I am sure were given to wrong boxes), and have received numerous pieces of mail (and packages) that were not addressed to me. I return those mis-delivered pieces back to the counter, but obviously many others do not. And, to top it off, I am in a rural area to which the PO does not deliver, thus they have flagged my street address as "undeliverable", which also messes with internet orders. Use UPS! read more

Yep. BY FAR the WORST USPS office I've ever dealt with. Instead, I go across the bay to Wedderburn where you don't have to wait in line for a half hour every day, and the lady there (Karen) is MUCH more respectful than the rude employees operating the Gold Beach Office. In addition, I live in town very close to the Gold Beach Office and I've spent several weeks just trying to get mail delivery set up at my address. I've spent several weeks calling them back that is. The house I live in has been here for over thirty years, less than a mile from the post office, well within city limits- and why this house does not receive mail is beyond me! The frustrating part is that UPS and FED Ex have no problem delivering packages here, yet the lazy USPS postal carrier just returns them to the sender. Thanks lazy man. I really needed those packages by the way. I'm going to file a complaint with the postmaster general at https://uspsoig.gov/ as soon as I get done writing this review.
