I came last Monday only to mail a pot as returns thus a low priority item. I chose Flemington as, despite growing up only 6 mi away, I'd never been to this PO thus was deeply curious. I also was nearby for 3 other businesses. COVID's less a thing here due to the large amount of distancing naturally there as well as the political bend which is self-explanatory, but somehow everyone obeyed state law and had a face covering, albeit all dubiously effectual cloth masks and I was the only one with a disposable surgical-style mask. Even social distancing in the line which was 20 persons long when I arrived was barely maintained mostly to say nothing about how potentially the science suggests 6ft is insufficient. The wait went quickly with the staff working the usual USPS speed: slowly but existent. There was one customer who did the expected angry blow up with cursing about a letter never making it anywhere after a week so the entire line was treated to the very calm USPS worker's having to deal with such a person. I was just glad to get through my businesses. Equipment, the recognizable IBM-issued scale and POS console, remains dated as is USPS anywhere, at least it had a chip reader. No hand sanitizer, temperature check, gloves, etc. were seen. It's nearly Christmas so let us just be in and out. Parking was very little with only about a dozen spots and then an overflow adjacent lot to the south and a few street spots, all tight and scarce. Building frontage is easy to navigate, preferable to crossing others in the interior. Signage is the usual few exterior signs but most coming know Flemington Main Street very well, if not for a lifetime. read more

So, for at least the third time this year, we had packages requiring a signature service that were supposed to be delivered to our home. I say "...supposed to be..." because EVERY TIME the drivers never left their seat in the mail truck to walk to the door to get a signature. They have simply put the "we missed you" slip in the mailbox and drive away. Today, it happened again. I happened to be working in the garage--door wide open--and see the mailman put the mail in our mailbox. He did not leave his vehicle at all! Yet a couple hours later, when I go out to get the mail out of the box, low-and-behold there's a "we missed you" slip again!! We have a Ring doorbell, another camera monitoring our driveway, and another in our breezeway. None of them went off because the driver never left the vehicle. And I also know this because I watched him when he pulled up to the mailbox. To top it off, I tried calling the post office directly at 908-782-2811 and no one answers! I called EIGHT times!! So not only lazy drivers, but no one wants to answer the phone either! I guess there are a lot of customers out there that want to complain, so they got tired of answering the phone. No line. Came here with my sister on a Wednesday at around 2PM today. Had everything we needed and sent out 8 letters that had to be postmarked, stamped and weighed before sending out. A nice woman helped us and therefore I can't complain! Bravo. read more

I come here almost daily have yet to encounter a problem. Only issue I have had is sometimes my items I send out via Media Mail I have an acceptance scan and it stays stagnant for over 13 days with no updates. Normally I will have to wait even longer to see any movement. I don't consider this a Flemington issue but rather a distribution center issue. The employees here are always very friendly. read more

And that is only because I cannot give them 0 stars. The front office staff is as rude as it gets!! They are also slow, unhelpful, snappy... I have a very bad experience every single time I come! Today I asked for the supervisor and I have to admit that was a better experience and she actually was helpful and polite. read more

Honestly, the staff at this post office is beyond terrible. Just being honest. They are VERY RUDE, annoyed, unfriendly, and condescending to the max. No smiling, no friendly gestures whatsoever. These same workers have been here for years and it just gets worse. I have been to other post offices and it's night and day difference and much friendlier elsewhere. I see lots of other negative reviews on here as well for this same place. I don't understand how they have not yet replaced the staff with workers who actually want to work with the customers. If you just need to go in without needing any assistance, no problem, but if u need anything that involves the staff go elsewhere. They will literally ruin your day. If you ask them a question they stare at you like your stupid. If u want a terrible experience go here. The office itself is dark and dirty. No one cleans this place even when u go first thing in morning there is trash from the day before left all over. It's very dim and dark inside and musty. They also just "upgraded" from the previous location where the walls were swelling in places from moisture but it's still in the same building...terrible. read more

I would like to personally thank the Flemington Post office for jamming a package into my mailbox. It's so nice to pull crumpled envelopes and catalogs out of my mailbox, tearing half of them as I pull them out. Apparently it's too much work to drive your mail cart up to my steps and drop the package off instead of jamming it into my mailbox. Always excellent service, never expect anything more! Wish I could give zero stars. read more

Holly is the most miserable person I have ever met. JUST QUIT ALREADY!!! Rude, just so rude. It is EVERY SINGLE TIME I go there!!!! Even when I was buying a stamp with cash to mail something she asked me to see ID, what in the world!?!? She is just horrible. They are all are. I would rather drive four hours to a different post office than Flemington. read more

Terrible, they marked a package as "delivered" @ 4:12pm on a Friday & the package was never delivered till a few days later. They do this to keep their "rating" at a good level....now i know why the postal system is BROKEN....FAIL!!!! read more

My experiences at the Flemington post office have been very different than most other reviews here. I tend to go to the post office right before they close on weekdays. There is never much of a line... I think I've had to wait a couple minutes at most. The employees are generally efficient and have gotten me in and out of there pretty quick. They've been really friendly too. read more

I echo the sentiment of the previous reviewer. HORRIFIC post office! I hate having to go there which at some times is a necessary evil. The local delivery isn't great either. Our mail is always messed and inconsistent. Blah all the way around. read more

Wow. I wish I had read these reviews before I stopped here to mail a package. Clerk 05 could not have been ruder or more mean to me and the customer ahead of me. She should not be employeed here. She could not even tell me a shipping rate and needed me to look up a zip code on my phone. When that took me 20 seconds she told me to step aside after already waiting ten minutes to get to the counter in the first place! I had to ship my package without insurance because she couldn't figure it out. What a horrible person! read more

With everybody using fax machines, e-mails, and texting, why are the lines at the Flemington Post Office keep getting longer and longer? I don't think the Office has enough personnel to handle the demand for its services. Adding more staff would definitely resolve many issues at that location. read more

The Flemington post office counter staff are the worst at what they do. And that isn't much. I would recommend they find jobs where they don't have contact with the public. Maybe they can clean horse stalls. read more

This post office is the worst run place I have ever encountered. They employees are simply lazy. They have simply not delivered my mail at times and I've had to go there, wait in line to get it. I've had 2 certified checks sent. When I check the tracking online it said that they tried to deliver multiple times and left notices. There has always been someone home and never was a notice left. Today I watched the mail carrier stop at my mailbox, delivered letters, 1 package, tried to cram another package in and just took it and left. Then I get an email from the sender stating that the post office tried to deliver and now I have to pick it up from them. Lazy scumbags. Can't drive down my driveway and leave it at the door? read more
