One of the clerks worked with me to find the best way to ship, under media mail, and kept the costs as low as she could (spoiler they've gone up!) I like how friendly and efficient this post office is. I have since shipped out many book orders and even some clothing returns here. It's my favorite and I'd prefer this than going to Hyvee to ship the same thing

I called the company that sent it and was directed to a post office on 136th St. They were friendly enough there, but basically said "oh no, we don't do anything with delivered mail at this post office." They sent me to the Stoney Brook annex. There's a solid wood door so you can see nothing, and a door bell which I rang over and over for many minutes. No answer. I could hear people on the other side, one even said "ding dong!" Eventually I went back to the first post office and told them what happened. They said "those were the carriers you heard. The clerks can't hear the door bell." They tried to call Stoney Brook, line was busy, and then someone told me "I'll call Dave. Go back." So I went back to Stoney Brook, rang the bell for several more minutes. Eventually someone came to the door, Dave, I assume. From there I got my package like normal. The setup is simply not conducive to a public-facing operation, yet when they have packages and mail that needs to be picked up by the public, I don't know why not. Without the call to Dave on the secret number, I'd probably still be there.

This was not the case with the workers I encountered. After ringing the bell I was greeted by a smiling face. The woman was quite friendly and even forgiving when I made a mistake with my address. I left feeling like a valued customer and not just an annoyance.

I give big props to the African American women and the white man who work in the passport center…read morethey are very knowledgeable and you can tell they can do their jobs in their sleep but because they have been doing it for a while they are very rude and don't let you speak they cut you off or speak to you like you should know about these things. I know I have not been the only person that experience this treatment, it's 90. % percent of their customers. These both individuals really need to practice on what is to provide great customer service and to be respectful and learn to listen( proper communication/ etiquette). I'm also positive that these individuals don't get consequences from either the manager or district manager because they continue to get away with their hostile behavior that creates a hostile environment for their costumers and people still have to go their because they do not have a choice.

Not sure why, but I was having those "DMV" feelings, where you go and will likely forget something. When I got their for my 12:30 appointment I was given papers to fill out and the staff was friendly. When I completed my papers and 12:30 came the clerk was super sweet. She knew I was nervous and eased all my worries and was thorough going through the paperwork and assessing my needs. We opted to expedite the passports as our trip was just outside the 10-12 week range. While there was some assurance it would arrive in time, we didn't want to risk it. A women walked in 20 minutes late for her appointment and she was told to reschedule. My husband also was 5 minutes late for his appointment and was told to reschedule so DO NOT miss your appointment, come early and wait otherwise you'll have to come back. I normally dread these types of appointments, but I had a really great experience with both the clerks and the service. They're not a lot of passport offices in Omaha, but I do recommend this one.

Then comes out another employee, scowl on her face, comes to the front, frowns harder, walks away, comes back, tells the lady they can't process more than 12 boxes at a time, especially around lunchtime. When it was pointed out that it was 3pm, she said well this is our lunch time. The lady had to ask if they could process the rest since there was only 2 left, and the employee paused and sighed and said yes. It kind of felt like a made up policy... it was kind of hilarious since it wasn't happening to me.

I was then asked where I was from... I said here? And then asked very strange questions like where in Omaha? And where specifically? She then told me they needed all the help they can get and proceeded to show me a bunch of Christmas items. It was a strange interaction. The place was very cluttered and the items for sale looked outdated. I don't know if she wanted me to take the Christmas items or not? She said some guy was supposed to take them. ‍ I've only used them in a pinch and won't be again because I cannot spend $1/package for items I already have postage on. I've been here a time or two just to drop something off for a return. Never had any issues before…read more There is a petite Indian (I believe?) young lady who works there that is just a sweetheart. My apologies if that's not her ethnicity, but I didn't catch her name the last time I dropped off a package. She's a doll though. However, today... i had a less than acceptable experience. There was one man in front of me when a chunky, red-headed Karen behind the counter snapped her fingers at me like I was a dog or a child or like I wasn't paying attention. Not a great way to treat customers, especially right off the bat. Who snaps their fingers at a customer?! I walked up to the counter with three packages and pulled my phone out so I could get all three QR codes ready for each corresponding package. I had BARELY pulled up one QR code and was reviewing it for a whopping two seconds when redheaded Karen pointed her scanner at it and scanned the QR code upside down before I even had a chance to turn my phone around!!! Whoa, what the hell?! WHO DOES THAT?! I explained to her that I wasn't ready to show her the QR code yet bc I was verifying that it was right code with the right package. Then she snapped at me for taking a whole two seconds to verify my returns and even argued with me about it! How very unprofessional and extremely rude. Then she gave me attitude about another package that wasn't in a box (which didn't require one). Karen was out of control, impatient, snarky and in dire need of an attitude adjustment. She looked like she was about 40 but she acted like a spoiled teenager who didn't get her way. Snapping her fingers at customers. Being combative and argumentative for no real reason other than just to be combative and argumentative. You don't treat customers like that. You don't treat ANYONE like that. Completely inexcusable. If you go to this location, avoid chunky redheaded Karen or go to another location where they don't treat you like this.

the absolute worst service and reliability. i dropped off my verizon router return to them which…read morehad a prepackaged sticker. it was never received and they were if little help to me after going in, leaving messages and trying to get verizon to stop billing me for the unreturned shipment. i sensed it when i walked in and two young kids said that thy would take care of it and did not seal the box in my sight. i have all the information that they provided me but it leads to nowhere. now verizon has put the $300 charge on my credit report. i spoke to the owner and he was kind and did do some research but it still showed nothing. i went back and left my number and told the attendant that i needed the owner to submit an affidavit or proof that the box shipped from their facility. to this day no reply. this was not just a matter of the pkg not arriving but horrible effects on my credit.
