Retail hours are until 7pm Mon - Fri.. my package was out for delivery and was supposed to be delivered by 4pm.. when I go to track the package it says it is ready for pick up... Today was my second time coming to this location and I have to say, this location does not disappoint. My first time was to get my son's passport a while back and we weren't sure how busy it would be on a Saturday morning so we decided to come pretty early to be one of the first in line however that wasn't an issue at all. They have a number system so you just wait to be called and while you're waiting you can fill out your forms and have your photos (if you didn't bring any for $15). Today I actually came a little later thinking I was going to be stuck waiting for a while but luckily I wasn't I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and that includes me having my passport photo taken.. the service was great the guy who helped me was courteous and helpful. I really like that they provide parking and there is no need for an appointment for new passport or renewal. I will definitely come back here and recommend anyone that needs to get their passport or renewal. read more

We were initially delighted to find online a post office that apparently accommodated walk-ins for passports. However, for one thing they charge WWWWAY more than say a Walgreens or CVS for the passport photo. For another thing, for a place that's bustling, if you'll forgive the pun, they have a parking lot the size of a postage stamp. It completely fails to accommodate the clientele, and apparently it is also negatively impacted the community. Go ahead, try to park on a side street. If you're lucky, you dropped someone off and went to sit on a side street, and a meter maid cop came along and pointed out that it is permit only parking (apparently including "standing", as you're sitting there with the car running) and that if you stay there you'll get a ticket. So no place to park, and too packed to be a trip that doesn't exceed a reasonable length of time. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. read more

This post office is a horrible place! I called them yesterday to make sure if I need to make a schedule for passport renewal since that the automated system say. It's not necessary to do so. But nobody pick up the phone. I tried 10 times. So I went there today, the whole entire place have a sign that you need to make an appointment!!!! Due to Covid.... so, COVID did not just happen 2 or 3 weeks ago. It's been a year. Until now they never change there automated system???? Really???? So I tried to ask question. This is not a normal post office. It's a passport acceptance facility. That said, I read some incorrect information online and mistakenly went there today to mail a Christmas package to a military friend. I was pretty sure that I couldn't mail anything there because they have a big sign that says "no package service." But they had mailing supplies so I wasn't really sure. I also walked passed a postal employee on my way in, carrying a package. And stood in the line holding my package waiting my turn to ask. I wish I could say that the employee who finally addressed me was professional and courteous. He was not. He was abrupt, rude, and unhelpful. He did send me to another post office with a 24 hour self-service machine. But you can't mail APO/DPO packages there. As a government employee and as a taxpayer, I expect postal employees to be somewhat knowledgable about their jobs and to treat the public with respect. I had an absolutely awful experience while trying to get my passport renewed. The service was terrible as there was 1 worker present and the line is out the door. The workers are very rude and it was pathetic how they handled the situation. After failing to give us a management number we left. I needed to get a passport for a trip abroad. My husband suggested the Paulison Ave branch, as it didn't require a reservation. I went with my daughter, and we literally stood, waiting, for over 2.5 hours before we were called! The person who helped us was the only English-speaking person in the place, which was very uncomfortable for us. I felt like such an outsider just a few towns away from my home... After all that waiting, my entire process was only 5 minutes! Was I the only one who had all of my docs in order or something? My suggestion is to make it a reservation-required situation. I have to give these guys some credit though - At the end of the day when I walked out, my passport application was submitted (after a 5hr wait). The passport arrived a couple weeks later (but that's got nothing to do with these folks). Also there is no bathroom, so don't drink too much coffee before going. read more

WORST POST OFFICE! Had a package delivered through ups surepost where the package gets delivered through the post office. No attempt was made to deliver my package and no confirmation was every sent to me (even though I was supposed to get a pink slip from them. Called ups and they confirmed they gave my package to the post office but gave me the wrong shipping id. Called the post office for Marcia to just blame ups for the Missing package. Turns out they had the package the ENTIRE TIME. THEY put my package on the WRONG route and then said they were closed for the day. Now I have to wait until tomorrow to get my package. I had planned my work week around my packages and the post office absolutely wrecked it. Marcia and this branch of the post office is rude and will do nothing to fix THEIR mistakes. Clifton made my USPS experience even worse than it already was. I was sent there by the East Orange post office due to the fact that the person who takes the passports left for the day; That was before my passport appointment that was confirmed for that day. East orange told me that Clifton accommodates walk-ins for passports. When I got to Cliftons post office, there weren't many people there. Prior to my coming, I called them, and they said that they would honor my appointment. The workers were very slow and didn't have any sense of organization or order. They made it very difficult for me in my already terrible situation. They wanted me to wait until every single person who made an appointment went before me even if they didn't arrive yet. I wouldn't have had a problem if they didn't try to keep me for hours when it only takes 15-20 min to send out a completed passport. They completed many miscellanies task when no one had appointments before me in the building. After explaining them the situations that I had no control over and messed up by the USPS mutiple times, they finally took me passport info. read more

I visited this location today and I must say that USPS has the worst employees representing them. As a consumer, I received the worst customer service ever! The African American male and his peer, Cecilia were rude and disrespectful to myself and other customers. I refused to support this location with my business and after 4 hours of waiting online, I ended up walking out. I don't think anyone should tolerate this type of behavior, especially if we are paying for a service. After waiting for over 3 hours to apply for my passport yesterday, I came back today when I was told I would be accepted ahead because I had needed an original copy of something I had. When I approached a different guy to mention I had been here the day before, he responded very rudely and rushed my grandmother saying "only 1 question mam" and "come on, hurry up get to the question" and kept interrupting her. Terrible place to go. There should be more than one facility available to get a passport. The service is terrible, the lines are long, the wait is horrible, parking horrendous. The area is small with no available restrooms for customers who have to wait in line for hours for service. I don't know what is happening with USPS and employee moral, but it should be investigated. New Jersey is one of the highest states with high tax revenues. Their residents should at least get respect when visiting the Post Office. Not sure if this business (USPS) will be around much longer. read more
