This is despite the fact that the USPS, the day before the hold ends, sends me an email saying that my mail will be delivered the next day. Each time I have to contact them and ask for my mail. I end up getting my mail a few days late, and that has been a problem with some time sensitive letters. No one has ever apologized, which would have gone a long way. I understand that mistakes happen, but you should own it. If you are going out of town, do not bother with a hold request because they cannot handle that service. Ask a neighbor to pick up your mail.

The local Randolph USPS…read moreOffice isn't the brightest, cleanest, or well marked building in town but it is a real treat. First of all they have ample parking, so if you are mailing a large item or small you don't have to worry about parking on the curb or the main road. This is huge and has made all the difference in each and every visit to the post office (I've been three times this past week, so it's probably obvious I would have strong opinions about this post office). The entrance is clearly marked and I have had no trouble opening the doors to get inside. I was a fool last week and went to the local department store to get envelopes when they have a full display right there in the main part of the office! Not only do they have envelopes they also have boxes and complimentary tape and pens. I brought my own pen but if I had forgotten it in the car I could have used one of the pens available there. The staff have all been outstanding as well. I have been helped by three different people this week and they have all been courteous, friendly, and mildly amusing. They clearly like their job and are proficient in executing the mail services in Randolph. I honestly didn't think that a trip to the post office could be this outstanding but the USPS in Randolph has proved me wrong. Do yourself a favor and drop a letter off!

You would think a 12" piece of packing tape would be no big deal but they'd much rather sell you a roll for $5. A roll you can get at the dollar store. The tape quality is awful anyhow. I've learned my lesson. I'll take my business to vergennes. It's worth the drive not to have to deal with the awful customer service received here!
