When I located them and went to pick up my dry cleaning, the woman who gave it to me said it was all set. I took the bag off to see if they had been able to get a spot out of my chiffon dress, and they hadn't even dry cleaned it. On my white jacket, some of my long hairs were still attached to the back. They were still wrinkled and obviously NOT CLEAN. I asked her why they hadn't cleaned it, they'd had it over a month, and she insisted that they had. She tried to tell me that all of the dirty spots still on there were stubborn spots they wouldn't get out. I argued for her for several minutes and she refused to back down that they had been cleaned and got pretty rude about it. I ended up bringing my dry cleaning somewhere else where it was returned actually clean with no problems. Guess I gave them $25 for Nothing!

However, once the visit ends, the large piles of the used towels, sheets, blankets, etc. quickly turn the fun of the weekend into a distant memory. That happened until I found that Helen's Laundromat will pick it all up from my doorstep on Mondays and deliver it back to me all neatly folded, stacked and wrapped to prevent wetness. There is no additional charge for the pickup and delivery. Booking the pickup via text is super easy; then an automated appointment is created to remind me. I also get a confirmation once delivered or a phone call if there is a question. Helen's service sends me an online bill that is easy to pay, so I don't have to be there for the delivery. The cost to me is very reasonable in comparison to the personal hours I would spend catching up and the hit to my utility bills for extra washing and drying. We don't use the service every week, which seems fine with Helen, who is gracious whenever I need her. One day I may learn to fold as well as her staff, but till then Helen's Laundry is on my weekend "friends" list.
