Its a flat driveway, no mud, packed gravel darn near paved. It even has plenty of room to turn around. They will also lie to you when you go to file a complaint saying that there is no form in existence to lodge a complaint this is not true, do not fall for their lies. This post office is right next to the grocery store. There is ample parking. You really can't miss…read moreit as there isn't really a lot in La Push but it's down a steep hill so drive slowly as I believe it's a native reservation. The post office is very small as La Push is very small so don't expect something large like a Seattle post office or somewhere else. On a side note, La Push has really awesome shorelines. The waves crash into the rocky jettys with such a force that anyone out there would get swept away. The wind howls off the sea beckoning your closer and the wisps away your hat or tosses your hair from it's hair tie and whispers for your to let go and be free. Ok maybe that's a small exaggeration but the post office is well kept like the entrance to the city. The look of things trails off a bit as you get deeper in but I'd come back just to see the water and mail some postcards.

It really doesn't beckon you to mail your packages there but seriously though it's a post office. Also the random stray dogs that are roaming around also don't put one's fears at bay. So you spend a moment debating actually exiting your car and risk getting molested by a dog bearing it's teeth OR mailing your student loan payment that is already 5 days late. You win dogs......you win. P.S. I was able to mail it down the road in Sekiu anyway so.....we will meet again Clallam Bay. I'll bring the brass knuckles and Vaseline.

If you've never been in/on/or around a native reservation, take a trip to Neah Bay. Check out the Cape Flattery Lighthouse nearby or just take in the town. It has a different feel....and you'll get what I'm saying if you go. Anyway, this post office is next to what seems to be the only store in the town. The store was busy but the post office....not so much. It was closed when I went but there are post offices boxes but no automated postal center for after hours mailing, but that is to be expected.

I have no gripe with the folks at the counter, they do their best working for a completely broken system. Lost packages, told mail was not being held when in fact it was/ for months! I will go out of my way NOT to use them for paying bills because they cannot deliver by due dates. Just another example of a government run organization. Very sad for the taxpayer and the USPS employees.

She kept interupting me saying Maam, maam whenever I tried to talk like she had no time for me! All I wanted was to show her photos of evidence and she refused to see the photos and did not care one bit. Absolutely shocking behavior! The previous Postmaster gentleman was completely the opposite, kind and helpful and the greatest respect for the public. Such a shame.
