No delivery day after Junteenth, and it doesn't look like anyone is coming today. I live on Jefferson St. in Bangor ME, and this is not the first time that this has happened. Very inconsistent service. read more

I called sometime ago about my mail carrier he doesn't care about his job. As long as he gets paid he puts the wrong mail in our boxes and takes until 8:30 or 9:00 pm to deliver mail,I was waiting for a package that was to be delivered today. If he doesn't like his job then quit. read more

The United States Post Office in Bangor is outstanding, specifically in regard to two post office agents, Melissa and Nate, who have assisted me several times recently. They are well-informed, resourceful, and patient despite the long lines of people waiting to be assisted. They are willing to assist with container selection, proper packing materials, and the choice of the best method of sending packages. In addition, they carefully stored a credit card which was left by mistake in the machine. Thanks USPS! read more

This is the second time within 2 months that I have requested a package pickup and the first time they called at 6pm to see if pickup..NO so they came. Today NO CALL and NO PICKUP...NOT GOOD BUSINESS. If our mailman can't do his job maybe he should look for a new one. read more

I have tried calling the PO for information on where my package is that was supposedly delivered on 12/02/19 and is nowhere to be found. Their automated systems truly sucks. You can't talk to a live person and the woman who is doing the talking just continues to repeat herself. Everything is now automated - too bad the employees there are always too busy to speak with someone. read more

It has been so long since I have walked out of the post office smiling. Typically my experiences have concluded with countless minutes of swearing and unpleasant thoughts regarding the employees behind the counter. It is with great excitement that I say the Bangor USPS rocks and is the epitome of what the post SHOULD be: friendly, expedited and easy. Walking into this post office leads you into a room of PO boxes and mailboxes. Simple. Go through the next door and you're in the actual USPS store. While you wait in line you can fill out your mailing slips with working pens or peruse the wall of boxes available for purchase. There is even a separate line for passports. Rather than checking out one person and going on break, the TWO, you heard me, TWO, attendants smile and say "next" with pleasure as though you're being invited into the most exclusive club. My attendant was courteous, helpful and most of all, he smiled. It's amazing how just being pleasant at your job spreads a chain reaction of happiness throughout a room. I am no longer afraid to go to the USPS for my mailing and shipping needs! read more

Well, here it is. I am reviewing a post office. I've reached a whole new level in my yelping! I have never been to downtown Bangor before this point, so I put the address in to my GPS and off I went. I get to where the GPS said, and there was no post office! Perplexed, I took a right and then another right, and lo and behold! there it was. There was parking available to postal customers, , and there was no line. I suppose that is good. In terms of post offices, this one is rather large, and the employees don't seem like they are going to go postal anytime soon. read more

I work on Main Street and since the pandemic started have seen many different carriers walk through our doors. We have signage on these doors that says "masks must we worn upon entry"...'cause ya know pandemic. We haven't had an issue until today. The carrier entered with no mask sunglasses on and an attitude. I told her we require masks inside and she responded with "do you want your mail or not?" When asked to please put on a mask she replied with "I don't have one". Alarming to hear as an employee of the government in a state that still has a mask mandate in place. She then threw a hissy fit by us asking her to wear a mask in the future, and again threatened not bringing is mail. Let me note that we have tried to use the mail holding service to prevent this from happening but we can't do that without paying for it. In a time when small businesses are suffering and trying to have the least amount of people in the building, it's outrageous that USPS isn't on board with this as a viable option. I would much rather be complaining to customer service, but the local phone number doesn't connect and I get told it's an invalid number. Bottom line is this issue needs to be resolved. That young woman needs to to held accountable for her actions. To say I'm disappointed in the Bangor USPS is an understatement. read more

I completely understand they are busy because of Christmas season, but to be rude not only by the person helping me at the counter, but to hand me the phone to talk to the manager to tell me that she is busy, and that I am lying about what my mailbox said. For NO reason what so ever I have ever put on my mailbox don't deliver packages there. ALL AROUND RUDE! I wish I could deal with another post office, because I dread going in there. read more
