Today I had a question about a package that was to be delivered (by the way, it was), and the employee, Amber was friendly and professional. I went here today to return a package since my local post office was closed. All I can say is…read more"wow". I've never had anyone be so rude to me and this wasn't some grumpy millennial, but rather a gray haired granny with a bad attitude. I asked her for a marker to black out the barcodes on my package before attaching my prepaid return sticker. She handed me the marker and sullenly walked away, telling me to just leave the package on the counter. In the meantime another customer came in to buy stamps, requiring grumpy to come back to the counter, and once the transaction was completed I asked the employee for a small piece of tape to secure my package. She immediately became rather angry and scowled at me. "You need to come more prepared" she scolded. I was totally floored. This is a rural post office with very few customers and I was asking for a very small amount of assistance. I guess it is too much to ask for some people to simply do their jobs. I can only hope this post office will be closed in the next round of downsizing because this person should not be employed in any position that requires customer service.

this post office is great I'm aware of that area cause I lived in Berks county for over 20 years…read more so I would go to this post office now and than. when I'm in that area. it's closer than Fleetwood post office and Kutztown post office. I also had a mail box at the Kutztown mail box. also now and than go to the mertzs Town post office already way way back in the past. so I don't recall any thing I remember that was at all negative in person. so out of Bowers post office I like that one cause it feels more personal and if I have a Fleetwood address I would rather go to one that's more closer to me for stamps or to mail off a package cause Bowers is closer to up the back towards dryvile area Fleetwood post office you have to drive all the way out to Fleetwood from the back of dryvile cause Fleetwood starts way up behind dryvile area. to me I would think Bowers post office is more closer to get to. than driving way out to Fleetwood.

I have been sending boxes overseas to my daughter and her crew stationed in Abu Dhabi. 3 boxes…read moresince Nov. and the one box of most important with handmade ornaments as Christmas cards was sent to the wrong place!!!!so upsetting....I sent it November 30 in plenty of time for Christmas and it went to Chicago the to Indonesia the to Japan and then back to Chicago!!!! As of Dec 22 and still my daughter has no box...the other ones I sent from Womelsdorf post office and had no problem....I have nothing against Newmanstown PO and I am sure they have no control over what happened...I just was not sure who to send this to and perhaps whomever is reviewing this could forward it to someone that can help...it is hard enough having ANY family member away for the holidays and the to have this happen and of all things homemade cookies and homemade ornaments for our troops!!! So very upset
