Never ever ever stop here. They are seldom open, never have supplies (no variation of stamps, no money orders, no tape) There is only 1 teller and her disposition is poor. At random hours the main door is locked and you will not have access to your POBox. There is never an apology to the community or seniors they serve. And not rude to me, because I don't say anything to her as I have watched her be rude to the elderly, veterans and pretty much everyone. Once she got into an argument with someone over using the tape. An elderly lady in line (not involved in the argument) told her not to worry and let the man ruin her day. Do you know what she said? This post office has the most ridiculous times that they are closed. They are closing the post office during lunch time when most people will run to the post office on their lunch breaks!!!!!!!!! My grandmother who still rides the bus on occasion went there on the bus and train only to see someone on the inside waving saying they are closed for lunch. I've ordered online, got a notification saying the item is delivered, go out to the mailbox and it's not there. Days later, no sign of the package. I live in an apartment complex. I've received other people's mail in my box. I assume some of my mail goes in other people's boxes. Perhaps that's why I don't receive my packages. Ridiculous. Deserves absolutely no stars. The location is populated with ghetto hoodrat individuals exhibiting unsatisfactory behavior, particularly one named ASHLEY. You call to ask a question and they holler at you or hang up the phone because you inquire about a a package their office failed to deliver.The postal man feigns an inability to deliver packages and opts for unnecessary redelivery scheduling instead of utilizing available mailboxes or parcel lockers. Subsequent attempts to reschedule are met with claims of nonexistent redelivery confirmation, despite the evident connection to the USPS system. Astonishingly, ASHLEY asserted that a service request initiated through USPS is unrelated to the West End office, displaying not only rudeness but also a lack of understanding. She's clearly an imbecile so not sure how she is the manager she claimed to be. A thorough overhaul in staffing at this post office seems imperative. read more

I walked in and the lobby and area around the PO Boxes was extremely dirty...trash thrown around everywhere, all over the floor. I don't even normally leave reviews but I had to with this one (even though there's already several negative reviews all over this business). I moved here to the West End area from Cobb County last year and this is by far the worst post office I've ever experienced IN LIFE. Anytime I buy something online and I see that it ships via USPS my heart drops because I know for sure hands down that I will NOT receive the package and on top of that the carrier will not even attempt to deliver your package to you. Sometimes a slip is left in the mailbox and sometimes not and this caused us to have a $300 table sent back that we waited 6 months for (delivery from China) because they did not even attempt to deliver it and apparently lost at this point. This has become increasingly frustrating and I am disgusted with how this business is allowed to be ran with no dignity or regard for anyone or anything. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I've never encountered such a lack of respect for others personal items, especially since it's your job! My PO Box is set up with Informed Delivery yet somehow these employees lost my mail. Let me also mention that I'm only missing items that contain very important personal information. Coincidence? Not impressed thus far. NO sense of urgency here at all. There are four terminals, two staffed, a lady with literally 67 small envelopes that all require a meter strip (apparently she's never heard of "print your own labels at home before you come to the post office and tie up one of the only two registers open for twenty minutes" method). Oh, there's one clerk standing looking mindlessly off into the distance- he can only help package pick up people- of which there are none. The line is now 13 people deep. There's signage up proclaiming "we've listened, we've heard, and we've improved". Really? Who did you listen to, and what on Earth did you improve? The three stars is because the staff is NICE, and it's my NEIGHBORHOOD post office- for those reasons, they are A-OK in my book! read more

*Sigh* So I've come to realize that the US Postal Service, by virtue of what it is, will always only average about 2-3 stars. This particular location... well. It just is what it is, I guess. For starters, they're closed on Saturdays. I find that irritating when they're holding my mail for whatever reason. Other irritants include: marking items as "delivered" when they have not been, NOT marking items as delivered when they HAVE been, and leaving an item status as "availbale for pickup" when, in fact, it is on its way back out for another delivery attempt. I will say this though: the people that work here have always been nice and as helpful as they could be given the fact that there are so many components to postal delivery. I just really wish that as a whole they would get their ish together. read more

I moved into my new home about a month ago. The mailman marked our home as vacant, even though we had been living there for a while. Long story short we had to come up here three separate times to show proof of residency, all of our mail was returned, my package has been lost for at least a month now. they shipped it back to the sender once, i reshipped it, and then they shipped it back again (so they claim, the company says its at the post office). This office has been closed despite typical hours posted twice within the past couple weeks when i've had to come up here. they never answer the phones. fuck this place honestly. read more

I got there 20 min before closing, waited in an ungodly long line that stretched into the PO box area (which was fine I understand they are busy and there is only ever one person working the counter) So I finally get to the door to enter the main area, it's 5 o'clock and time to lock up so she (the manager?) makes everyone standing in line before me that was there before 5 cram into the smaller main room. This is the absolute worst Post Office I've ever been to. The building is always understaffed, the workers always have a messed up attitude and the supervisors aren't any better. This location can close down indefinitely and it wouldn't bother me at all. These are the laziest, most rude and ghetto mail delivery people I've ever encountered. The lazy people are notorious for putting the wrong mail in the wrong box and then get an attitude with you when you let them know. If you have a package that needs to be delivered at your door and if your door bell isn't close to the curb, these trifling souls will launch your package if they will get out and deliver it at all!! They would rather put a slip in your box saying " Sorry we missed you!" Service is delivered by your standard unhappy clerks, and there's always a line. Recently I had my mail held for two weeks while I was on vacation. I'd requested the mail to be delivered starting Saturday upon my return. Tuesday came and still no mail, so I went to post office to figure out what was going on. They had my mail. Apparently somebody was out-sick, so they never delivered - as if that's a legitimate excuse for parcel delivery company. If it were a private company, it would be out of business. read more

I wish there was a minus star, - 5star is what they would get! I spent ALL DAY contacting everyone to use my new PO Box Today, and then decided to post a review as well. I went paperless on some accounts and for those without that option I'm having them mail to my new PO Box. And, I hope the Oglethorpe branch is the first to shut down when the post office becomes obsolete because no one wants to use the rotten service. I rented a PO Box (at a different branch) for several reasons: (1) I actually get mail for different streets with the same or similar house NUMBER as mine. I gave them back to the mailman TOO MANY times. ENOUGH! (2) Recently, my neighbors were bringing my mail that was left in THEIR mailboxes. (3) I was waiting at home for a package when I saw the mail van come up to my mailbox. Then I received email saying it was left in my mail box but it was not there when I checked. I immediately thought ''the mail person took it to the wrong house again but which one?' He did, I retrieved it! (4) I normally get about 4 pieces of mail per day. I placed a hold mail for 8 days. While on hold my bank mailed a new credit card and City of Atlanta sent renewal forms for my senior citizen discount. When the hold expired I received 3 pieces of junk mail wrapped in rubber bands!!!! I NEVER received the credit card or City of Atlanta forms. I had to cancel the credit card because someone may have gotten and kept it or thrown it away. THAT was the last straw, I rented a PO Box and now I pray for the Post Office System to go out of business. read more

I just had to call them. I knew it would ring and ring and ring - I know this because I have been there...standing in line forever...listening to the phone ring and ring and ring. For every reason the others before me have given, I give them one star for the staff who are nice and helpful (I've seen two in my visits). Several years ago, a friend was out of the country and I was called upon to handle an urgent matter. I did a mailing - priority- at the West End Post Office 30310. I spoke kindly to the clerk with all appropriate salutations after conducting our transaction and left the office, but the urgent package containing the tellers check never arrived to the addressee. Thank God I had both the copy of the check and receipt and the agency moved the deadline and gave us the opportunity to make a replacement and of course we used FedEx. However the ineptness of the West End Post Office could have proved to destroy a person's business The USPS Inspector said that although the system showed that the package was logged in by the clerk - it never left he post office and was " lost," meaning they never mailed it!! A month or so later, it showed up at the agency: a priority package took a month to arrive. Since that day I avoid the West End Post Office and go instead to Marietta Street or to Cascade Heights. read more

If I could give -5 stars I would. Everything about this location is horrible. Definitely no sense of urgency any time I've had to go inside which luckily for me is few and far between. Nobody there seems to like doing their job and act as if you are bothering them. Ever since I've moved in the area the driver has repeatedly left packages outside my door. Most of the time I'm not even home to receive them and I live in an apartment complex so you can probably guess what happens. Yes, stolen! I don't know what policies and procedures they have in place for items that can't fit into a mailbox but they definitely lack common sense when it comes to finding a solution. My apartment door is clearly not a secure place to leave anything outside. It's open to the elements let alone people passing by you would think the driver has enough sense to not leave a package in an insecure location. I guess since it isn't theirs they don't care. It's to the point that I have businesses telling me that they will no longer ship to me because since it happens so frequently it looks like fraud. Insane! I literally had to put in a request for a mail vacation hold because I can't take another day of receiving a notification that my package has been delivered and left at my front door and I come home to nothing. There have been a couple of times that I've been sitting in my apartment waiting for the item to be delivered and hours later I receive a notification that it once again was left at the door. They don't even try to knock to see if anyone is home! Those times I was lucky enough to grab it before anyone else could. This is probably the most frustrating thing I've had to deal with. I have had horrible experiences in dealing with this post office. When you go here, there tends to be only 1 or 2 people working and there is always a long wait. I spoke with someone who proclaimed to be the Manager (Ms. Milner) today. She has proven to be one of the most unprofessional, defensive, rude and non customer friendly persons I have ever dealt with. In fact, she actually hung up the phone while I was speaking to her. The reason for my call today was they recorded a package delivered to me that was not. I never received it. In addition, this post office has mis-delivered my mail and packages to neighbors, left packages on my doorstep out in open for others to steal and thrown packages through my porch screen door and breaking the door. I went to pick up my package and they tell me I already picked up my package when I tell them thats impossible because I still have my slip she shows me the log and states that it was picked up after they had closed and was scanned in by someone who wasn't even at work that day, one of the ladys Ms. Milner gives me her number and say give me a call if you have any further questions.(wrong # on purpose) I filed a complaint with USPS, then get a call form I'm guessing a supervisor there. Every time I ask her a question she gotta put me on hold. Basically in the end she tells me someone in my building came to pick up my package that has the same address.
