    this better business bureau is so bad, im writing this report from michigan,since this business…read moremade excuses for capital ones corporate. the bbb here in virginia is lazy overly opinionated.i wrote from michigan how capital one put a bad remark on my fico score by saying there credit card website was for a secured card,when in fact it was the website was for an unsecured credit! i read the website correctly yet the BBB in this state of virginia took the side of capital one even though capital one wrote this letter on the BBB website in response to my complaint, with their own admission that they failed to write the offer on their offer as an unsecured n ow i have to write transunion, defending case!

    100% Worthless. As a local small business owner we had '1' illegitimate complaint that got…read morereported to the Richmond BBB - where the consumer was way over the line. After we questioned how the BBB handled this ... we dropped our membership from the organization and we had the luxury of having our 'rating' instantly downgraded from A+ to F. Even more pathetic is after 6 certified letters were sent to this origination demanding why the rating were downgrading and justification we received a grand total of '0' responses from the Central Virginia BBB. They can't fix things that they screw up but they do have the audacity to continue to hammer us with incompetent telemarketing solicitations for 'joining' - and looking for credit card information. We have told them at least a dozen times DO NOT CONTACT US and they just WILL NOT stop solicitations/harassing us with their propaganda ..... whatever... this organization is 100% useless. Very misleading to the consumer when the BBB business ratings system is based off a paid fee.

Looks like someone fell asleep while washing a filter, this probably is not due to the storm. The city started giving out water on the 2nd Day of the outage, which is today. You only get 3 1 liter bottles for one person and 6 liters for a family of 4. Down at the 701 North 25th, they ask for your name and family amount. I told them I pay city High taxes. You don't even get enough water to use and have water intake a human must have daily. Not good for the new Mayor. I hope the Mayor can do away with the parking in the middle of the lanes down town so traffic can flow. I hope he does away with parking to the corner so you can see if traffic is coming to prevent accidents. I hope he put into law that people park in back of their homes if they have parking king off the alley.     Just received two invoices in the mail for personal property tax (2 separate envelopes). The first…read moreone says i owe penalty and interest for a vehicle because i never paid the bill in 2022. I NEVER RECEIVED IT! I was told per code that i am responsible for it and that i am supposed to follow up on invoices for personal property. How would i have known it was sent out? That cost me $100. Then i opened up another envelope from the City for personal property and i was charged for interest and penalty that i let DMV know the vehicle was sold 10 months ago. The City of Richmond is ridiculous. I was told the City updates from DMV --- well apparently not! Then you call customer service and get no where with them. Its pathetic!!!!!!!! As I read the other reviews we are all saying the same thing. Maybe the City should read the reviews and fix their issues!

    Called to end service at an apartment and a home and start service at a new rental June 2024 and…read morethey only transferred service and never stopped apartment or home. Few months after initial call I called and again requested end service at apartment and home, and they ended service at home but I later found out not at the apartment. After my call in June 2024, I start to get two emails each month: one stating it was a new bill for the apartment and that the amount due is "0.00", the other saying the recurring payment is "Aborted" and "has been stopped" for the apartment account. In April 2025 I changed the automatic payment for my bill (for the new rental) and then realized that they were still billing me for the apartment I hadn't lived in for 9 months because I was now getting automated withdrawals from two checking accounts. I called City of Richmond and they said they had no record of me asking at my last two calls (which were documented) that I needed to cancel service at the apartment (which was one of main reasons I called them twice before). City of Richmond further ignored the fact that I've been getting monthly emails from them since July 2024 about the apartment account stating that 0.00 was being billed and that my auto payment was being aborted. They told me they would not reimburse me anything (blaming me for not canceling service even though called them twice to do so) and said to ask the apartment complex to see if they will cover the inappropriate billing statements since my lease ended (August 2024). This is an absurd request since this was City of Richmond's issue all along and an apartment company is not going to pay me for the erroneously charged utility bills. If you look at all the reviews posted it is clear I'm not along in being screwed by City of Richmond Utilities. Sucks there is nowhere to go for help and no other utility company to choose from. Probably why they are so bad as there is nothing the average consumer can do to challenge their horrible customer service.
