If you're looking for the most incompetent, money hungry group of individuals, look no further!…read more I called the riverton branch to get my safety deposit box set up on an automatic payment plan. I was routed to the customer service facility and spoke with an agent who ALSO called the Riverton branch. He spoke with someone who advised him he would not be taking my call and I needed to set that up online through the app. The customer service representative asked if I'd like to be transferred to the app support team (don't remember their official name because I never did get to speak with them) As I was at work, I had to call back and spoke with a different agent who gave me frustratingly different information. After a 10 minute hold, she came back on the line not with the app support team. But the good news that she too had contacted the Riverton branch who would not take my call. At this point I asked to speak with her manager, as she advised me she was trying to contact an entirely different team after I had advised her of the situation. Another 10 to 15 minute hold. Finally she comes back on and says it will just be "one more moment" to which I respond, Can you please just get me over the app support? She replied that unfortunately they could not assist me and I would have to go into the branch. (On the last workday before thanksgiving). At this point, I was very upset and asked again that she get her manager on the line. I spoke with Dani, who advised me because I didn't have a Zions bank account, I could not set up autopay. If I wanted to set up an account, I would need to go into the branch. And boy I did! I was treated by a teller and I informed him I would be canceling my lockbox, but didn't have the keys. He informed me Ryan (corner desk balding man, in today a pink shirt) would need to help me. I sat and waited patiently while he helped an older couple. Finally he greeted me and advised me that he actually DOESNT schedule the lock drilling. Miss office behind me does. But don't worry, just another 10 minutes. Keep in mind I had to take a lunch to attend to this matter, and was already running behind. Finally Karen Slagoski? (Sorry Karen!) came out with a client and, although knew I had been waiting sometime, lazily stroked the clients assistance dog while ignoring me. And also the client point me out. Finally I am graced with the opportunity to enter her office and cancel my lockbox. It takes her a laughable amount of time to simply say, she would give me a call and what days work best. Sorry? I explained to her that this could have been taken care of about an hour ago if pink shirt (my suspect) hadn't refused my calls. She apologized profusely and said she couldn't think of who would commit such an act. Que eye roll. I thank her for her time and ask for a business card. This is the only souvenir I received out of this ordeal. Behold: Bonus: My father worked for Zions bank for 30 years. Before he had a chance to retire, the fired him. Or rather "let him go with severance" HARDLY the reward he earned after being loyal to their company. But nonetheless he left. A man in his 60's who now works at FedEx and has been hurt several times on the job. Zions bank you are heartless, spineless money hungry monsters. And the Riverton branch is the perfect example of incompetence. From the bottom all the way to the top.

It's honestly hard not to like AFCU. Why?…read more 1. They have locations virtually everywhere in the Salt Lake area, you never have to go far to find one. 2. They have great products, particularly their checking accounts for which there are no account fees for your normal banking needs, and honestly even things you might not use too often usually have little or no cost too. 3. Their online bill pay has worked flawlessly for me for 7 years now - I've never had a problem with a bill not getting paid on time. 4. Service is almost always friendly and helpful regardless of location, even at the smaller branches in grocery stores. So why did I pick this particular location to review? Well it's my closest major branch, and they have all the services including the things you can't do at most grocery stores/smaller locations. E.g. notary services, automatic coin deposit machines (which don't charge you a single penny - excuse the pun - in commission) and just staff who will help with any little concern you might have. Plus of course a great drive through. If I had any even slight complaint, it would be reliability of their web sites and some old fashioned design that makes them not always work correctly on things like tablet devices. But this is minor, when it works, it always works correctly. And I tend to nit pick these kind of things due to my profession, I can make similar complaints against many banking establishments, and having worked in the banking sector also can tell you when it comes to technology they are still mostly in the 1970's with a "nice" web front end bolted on for good measure! So AFCU gets a pass here even though they might not be as "nice looking" as some others. It gets the job done! In conclusion, many locations, great products, good customer service and a workable online presence....AFCU.......For the win!
