1 star for the office staff. They just called me after close and hung up when I answered right away. Also they favor male patients. The last time I came in, they wouldn't check me in, but checked in the 4 men who came after me right away, and were taken right back. I was given a tablet to input info in after my appt. time, when I had been waiting there for a half hour, causing me to be 15 minutes late for my appt. This is the worst office staff I've ever seen. I like the dr. I see, but I can give him up if I have to be treated like an inferior being and given a hard time by the all girl office staff. It was dumb of me to come back again. I don't think there is a formal training program. I left a phone message 2 days ago with their answering service and I'm still waiting for a phone call back, pretty sure I can kiss that message good bye. The receptionist at this office is very unfriendly and looks miserable. Both times we were there she was not only rude to us but other people. After a lengthy hospital stay we brought in my very sick, weak grandma and in error we forgot her insurance card, since we were there early we had time to go home to get it, but you think she would've been a little understanding, no right away she was just going to reschedule us. Luckily we got back before our appointment time. The next appointment we had she again wasn't friendly, so either she's never happy or she holds a grudge against patients. While sitting in the waiting room she was giving another patient a hard time due to insurance, and he was extremely frustrated! Being in the medical field myself and have worked the front desk many times, none of my employers would have been happy if I didn't smile or make patients feel welcome. Sure everyone has a bad day, but two out of two times this receptionist had a bad attitude? You really should reconsider who the first face that patients see, because she definitely isn't the right choice. read more

Glad to see I am not the only one who feels they are rude. Love the dr and his assistant but the front desk staff is always rude and pretends your not important and your inconveniencing them. I called in about a procedure I needed to schedule after not hearing from them for two days and the front desk lady told me they would get to me when they had time and I am not their only patient. I guess she has never had kidney stone pain. I called back and spoke with a surgical coordinator and she couldn't believe they said that to me. If I didn't like the dr so much I would never return to this office due to the staff. I hope the dr realizes they need to make changes to staff or they are gonna lose patients. They snicker behind the desk as patients are waking away after signing in. So rude and unprofessional. read more

Took an elderly friend to her appointment here we arrived early checked in with the unfriendly & bored receptionist ...got preliminary paper work taken care of . We then waited 30 + mins & I asked receptionist how long they were running behind . She told me to sit & she would check ... well another 10 mins & I asked again she was not polite or helpful . Asked a patient that was waiting when we arrived & he said he waited an hour & that was usual for this office !?!? My friend said she too had waited an hour past her appointment time before ! Ridiculous !!! That is unacceptable that this practice has patients wait so long as one hour after their appointed time !! I would not come to see dr that has no respect for his/her patients time & staff that is unhelpful & not forth coming about wait time and appears to over book if one must wait an hour plus. And if no one else complains they will just keep on disrespecting their patients time. read more

My husband had a Urolift procedure done in the office at the Gurnee location and it was the WORST. I would never recommend UroPartners. When he went in for his consultation and whatever equipment they used on him was not sterile and he gets a staph infection and had to be on antibotics for a few weeks. I DID NOT want him to go back for the procedure but he did. The assistants seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. It took 2 of them to put a catheter in and then they didn't get that right. I asked them if they knew what they were doing and they just looked at me. After the doctor does the procedure he talks to me and says everything went great. I said anything we need to be concerned about or anything. He says no he is good to go home and that was it. Next morning my husband could hardly walk and couldn't go to the bathroom. We call the office they say you should probably got the ER. SERIOUSLY!! We do go the ER and my husband needs a catheter and has to go back to the Gurnee office 2 days later to have the catheter removed. They acted like this is normal. No heads up that this was even a possibility to happen. The staff and doctors at UroPartners are TERRIBLE!! read more

My entire experience with UroPartners and Dr. Khan has been terrible. I came in initially, referred by Dr. Giron with urinary issues that suggested BPH. Dr. Khan did laser surgery. From first follow up visit it became clear that the surgery did not go as expected. Healing was slower than advised. A 30 day post surgery period became 5 months. The office failed to respond to Rx order for mail order and I was forced to use local pharmacy, tripling the costs of my meds. Calls to Dr. Khan were not returned in a timely manner if at all. A process of leaving messages for medical assistants ended in "answers" coming back that did not match "questions." I was last told by Dr. Khan on my last visit to let current Rx run out and that he would not need to see me for a year, but that I would never ejaculate again as long as I lived. I was in shock. I called back to say so after the shock passed, and for 5 days I was unable to get a response despite repeated calls into the office. Yesterday, when I finally got hold of Susie who had failed to call me back as promised, she said she was talking to Dr. Khan as he was coming out of an exam room. After 15 minutes on hold, she came back and said Dr. Khan wanted me to change from Tamulosin to another prostate relaxer for 2 months. He had just told me to stop taking both my meds. Answers do not match questions. I am meeting with Dr. Giron to seek a new urologist next week. I will never suggest UroPartners to anyone. I will report the poor medical service. I will share the poor medical and extremely poor communications to Dr. Giron and others. I came in with urinary problems, and am leaving being told my sexual life is forever negatively impacted, and the care shown by basic respectable communications non-existent.
