My husband was recommended to this place.he went in for a visit with Dr. Decided he should have a bladder biopsy and discussion. 2 weeks later papers arrived with time, date etc. procedures added to list..I ask what's all this stuff mean? He replies..I don't know, we never discussed it.If it wouldn't have been for me, he would have went in for a procedure and they were going to do more procedures while he was in the procedure room without "consent"? No explaining how,why, what or complications that could arise? WTF? Wouldn't that be medical malpractice or something? It caused a lot of anger between us because he felt like I wasn't supporting him...but I do not believe in medical procedures with knowing ALL the options!! One angry wife! read more

My name is Heather Prestin and if I could give them negative stars I would! In Dec 2022 my sister Melissa Weideman was referred to them and they found lesions on her liver and thickening of her bladder wall and did nothing. She is a paraplegic from the waist down; she could not feel the pain, and this is clearly a sign of cancer. They did nothing for her and didn't follow up, run more test or get to the bottom of it. Between them and the Sanford clinic they kept giving her meds and telling her to pee in a cup. This went on for a year that my sister was going through this and wasn't getting the help she needed. October 18th she was diagnosed with STAGE 4 BLADDER CANCER uncurable. One month later November 18th I watched my sister of 48 yrs. old pass away in the ICU. She had no chance, and her life was robbed from her due to the lack of care and responsibility from the Sioux Falls medical field. My sister could still be here if they did their jobs properly and not pass the buck to someone else and wash their hands of the patient. All lives matter and EVERYONE deserves top notch care and treatment, and NO ONE should ever be passed over. If they took more pride into their patients my sister may still be there as they would have caught the cancer in its earlier stages to give her a fighting chance!! Instead, they took my sisters life and left my nephew without a mother, a sister and a daughter. Where is the justice in that?????? read more

Had my biopsy done there... decided to "monitor"... was told to schedule another biopsy for that fall which their office people told me there "system" wasn't able to do. Very unorganized. Then after i called they called several times to book the procedure along with a procedure the doctor never mentioned. I sought another doctor from Omaha. read more

I had a biopsy done there was in the facility for about one hour. had a bill show up for just over $4000 from Urology Specialists Chartered that insurance paid for a good part of it then low and behold I get another bill for $2200 from Urology Specialists that insurance did not cover any and they billed for the same things that I was billed for the first time. plus I got a bill from the place where they sent the biopsy sample to in Illinois. I have requested several times for a justification for these price gouging billings of over $6000 just from them with the lab in Illinois a seperate billing, I get a song and dance that I signed that i would be billed from more than one place. $6000 for one hour in their facility is about like the TV shows you see about catching rip off auto repair shops price gouging their customers. Poor care, arrogant doctor. I was referred by my GP due to an infection that was cleared up, but my home doctor wanted to ensure there were no underlying issues. I drove more than 2 hours to get to my appointment, checked in, did everything I was asked. Met with the urologist. Right up front, he said he probably wouldn't find anything. He prescribed some meds and I asked why. He was a little cheesed that I questioned him and told me he routinely prescribes the med to his patients. I had to ask about side effects, he said the med commonly causes semen to flow backwards. Not happy about that, I asked if there were options. Yep, another med that doesn't do that. Why try to prescribe the offending med says me, it was his routine was the answer. Despite no symptoms, no indications, no issues; he then wanted to insert a camera in a very uncomfortable place and do a CT scan. When I asked why, he lectured me as if I was a child afraid to cross the street. I then waited in the waiting area for the prep and authorization from my insurance. I waited more than 2 hours. When I asked about the wait, the nurses told me the Dr left on a personal issue quite some time ago and would not be back. Left me in the waiting area hours for a procedure I did not need and a prescription for nothing. I left and was later offered to do the procedure at another location--no thanks. After all of that, I was still billed for the visit. Never got the prescription or any results of any tests. ; nothing ever reoccurred. read more

I had a mass removed from my kidney two weeks ago. The on-site lab wasn't able to determine whether the mass was cancer or not so I was told that it would need to be sent to another lab. My results have been known by my doctor for several days now. When I call the clinic, the nurse tells me that someone will call me with the results or my doctor will explain the results when I see him next week. I hope that the actual surgical care that I received from this clinic turns out to be better than the overall patient care. Me and my family have been worried sick that I have cancer and my doctor can't find five minutes to let me know one way or the other. Horrible care... read more
