There are a lot of different services that you can have at urban you and I'll definitely be considering a facial at some point in time. We booked a group appointment ahead of time and we originally had 5 but had to switch to 4 almost last minute and they were super accommodating! Our appointment was actually during happy hour which they have from Tuesday-Thursday 3p-7p so many of their services were discounted due to that. We did the facial bar with a friend option. The 4 of us (+2 employees) were the only ones in there so it was super peaceful and enjoyable. They explained our options to us and what the purpose of each step she was doing. For my 2 add-ons I choose high frequency and the cooling globes. I liked these a lot but I still want to try the rest of their add on offerings! All of the products felt very luxe and smelled amazing. At the end of the facial, I swear my skin had never felt better and we were all truly glowing. She helped set me up with an eyebrow growth serum (which worked!!!), and a "treatment plan" of how to tackle my eyebrows to get them back to being full and healthy! After my eyebrows had grown back so well, she had me come in for my first ever wax, shape, and tint. Long story short... my eyebrows have never looked better! They have complimentary tea, water, and coffee too! I've had my hair done by a handful of stylists around town, and Carissa at E+L is my absolute FAVORITE! She's the only person that I've found who really understands MY hair and actually seeks to uphold the integrity of my hair. When I first met her, I was going from a warm brown color and I wanted to jump to an ashy blonde. If you're a hair stylist and you're reading this, you're probably screaming something like, "you can't get that transformation on one visit!!" And you're right. Carissa told me that with such grace and kindness, and instead of saying "no", she said, "let's come up with a game plan to get you there while we uphold the integrity of your hair!" So from there on out, we scheduled appointments to get me to my dream hair! And we have MADE IT! It took a few visits, as projected, and it was perfect. Today's visit, however, was a color correction visit. I had gotten my hair colored from a local beauty school to help a friend out as she learned her way around the coloring process. I'm glad to have been able to help her, however, I wasn't too pumped with the results, and honestly, I felt a bit defeated because I felt like I had mistakenly undone all of the hard work that Carissa originally put into my hair in the first place. After my color mishap, I immediately contacted Carissa and today she fixed me up SOOOO amazingly! My mishap has been undone and I feel like I'm back to where I want to be! We've got another process or two to get me back where I want to be, but seriously, this first correction is night and day difference to me! I feel SO much more confident and happy with my hair! She is a miracle worker! E+L also has a crazy awesome referral program! If you refer a friend, you get a free product! Ummm, AWESOME! (And these aren't your grandma's products. They sell Davines, baby!) Oh, and if you care about the environment (which you should, at least a LITTLE bit), they are a salon that focuses on minimal waste!
