Just got a cut from Hicks. They seem to cater to children. It was very noisy and crowded with kids…read morewhen I dropped in. Also there are many toys and plushies that look very ragged and unsanitary. I wouldn't let my kids play with them if they needed a cut. I think it's gross to have stuffy toys scattered on the floor where people's hair is being cut. Hair grease, oil and little hair debris gets all over them. Also when I was getting a cut, the person/barber left her station with a room full of people waiting to get a cut and they they didn't even sweep after each cut. The hair build up was rediculous. As for my cut....not great. I could do better with my electric razor. My hair looked like it got cut for free at a hair cutting school. Granted it was only $25. The thing that really grinds my gears is that I asked for a light beard trim and the guy takes an electric razor with a #4 guide and just removes my beard. My majestic beard will take months to grow back. These people are cheap, if you have kids that don't care what they look like. I will not go back.

No reputable, ethical breeder (if you believe in that kind of thing...) would sell their puppies this way, and they wouldn't breed mutts either. Shelters are constantly overrun with dogs, yet people continue to force their poor female dogs to birth for profit. I really hope people don't continue creating a demand for this. There is also the health and safety aspect, I don't think VIHA would love pups being in a piercing salon.... Spay and neuter your poor dogs.

From the moment I went in, I felt totally welcomed and treated with both kindness and professionalism from both stylists. First, Anna put her extensive knowledge and experience into removing the horrid colour issues and redepositing a beautiful silver gloss to my hair. What a pleasure to be in her chair! I knew I was in good hands, and she felt like an old friend, honestly. Next, Ali took my new, gorgeously coloured hair and styled it beautifully for a gala I was attending that very night. I was in tears hours before but walked out glowing and smiling ear to ear. So grateful for these talented ladies! You cannot go wrong at this salon. I will definitely be back!

She pulled my hair while blowdrying it, while telling me I couldn't move at all, & had to remain very stiff - her own words. I had to stop her & leave with wet hair. All sticky with whatever stuff she used on it. I usually love going to the hairdresser, which usually is a pleasant & relaxing experience for me. Well not with Katey!
