Just got a cut from Hicks. They seem to cater to children. It was very noisy and crowded with kids when I dropped in. Also there are many toys and plushies that look very ragged and unsanitary. I wouldn't let my kids play with them if they needed a cut. I think it's gross to have stuffy toys scattered on the floor where people's hair is being cut. Hair grease, oil and little hair debris gets all over them. Also when I was getting a cut, the person/barber left her station with a room full of people waiting to get a cut and they they didn't even sweep after each cut. The hair build up was rediculous. As for my cut....not great. I could do better with my electric razor. My hair looked like it got cut for free at a hair cutting school. Granted it was only $25. The thing that really grinds my gears is that I asked for a light beard trim and the guy takes an electric razor with a #4 guide and just removes my beard. My majestic beard will take months to grow back. These people are cheap, if you have kids that don't care what they look like. I will not go back. read more

Hicks is great. They cut hair and have a friendly community vibe. I think that the cut I received is better than many others I have had.

This barbershop and barber is great so why do they only get 3 stars? Simple. The time it takes to do an average male haircut is approx. 20 minutes. This shop has a haircut classification called DIVA with an associated charge of $50. However, that charge is rarely - if ever applied. Unfortunately, there are a few DIVA males that "play" on the good nature of this barber. They appear either at opening or at closing time - which isn't a problem for the regular customer. However, when they arrive at opening, their haircut, beard trim and assorted other details takes the barber almost an hour to complete. Meanwhile, the rest of the clients have to wait, and wait and wait. If this barber scheduled the DIVAS only on their "slow" days or for their last appointment of the day the rest of the clients would be overjoyed. Possibly; after reading this review, the barber might consider this proposal along with charging the DIVA rate. Thank you...... read more

Always good haircuts. Lots of hair on floor that is not tidied between customers. Maybe just don't let your kids play with the toys and rather just sit on seats and they won't end up covered with stranger hair. read more
