Very disappointed with this service experience, especially after seeing all the 5-star reviews. I had made an appointment for 10am on Saturday, with plenty of advance notice. I had arranged my weekend schedule so I could be available at the agreed upon time. I got a call from them right at 10am on Saturday morning telling me that the appointment needed to be moved to 3pm due to a scheduling problem on their end, otherwise I'd have to wait until Monday. I agreed to the 3pm time change after they offered me a $20 discount for the inconvenience. So I rearranged my schedule so I could meet them at the new time. (But really, couldn't they have let me know sooner??) At 3pm nobody had arrived. At 3:10 I called to find out if the cleaners were coming at all today. I was told they were close, and that they would be there in 10 minutes. They finally arrived 20 minutes later. When they saw my 1 bedroom condo, the 2 hour estimate suddenly changed to 3 hours (so much for my $20 discount when they charge $50 an hour). When I explained the carpets had already been steamed, and the wood floors in the kitchen & bathroom were brand new, they brought the estimate back to 2 hours. I left them specific cleaning instructions and agreed to return in 2 hours. When I got back, they said they needed another 30 minutes. When I got back again, now two and a half hours from the start, I still had to point out items on the list that had not been cleaned. To make this even more frustrating, the workers that they sent to clean barely spoke any English (even though the "receptionist" that booked the appointment spoke perfect English). So each time I was speaking to the workers -- giving them detailed cleaning instructions -- I have no idea if they understood what I was saying, even though they were nodding their heads. The quality of cleaning was OK -- and like the rating says, "Meh. I've experienced better." read more

Alma from Urban Janitorial Services has been cleaning my place for over a year now and has always done a wonderful and very complete job. I never have a problem scheduling her to come and she is great with my dog- so I feel totally fine having her come when I am at work- which is great for me. She does the big things great and even some small extras- like me toaster oven. I love too that I totally trust her and she doesn't move stuff or put it in places I have to go searching. A good office cleaning crew is hard to find in this city. I've been through more than enough to know. Our regular office cleaning crew needed to take a week off so I called Will at Urban Janitorial to see if they could help out. The difference between quality of service (as well as cost) was incredible. Day 1, I could tell immediately there was a new crew in town. Things were clean! Will checked in with me each day to make sure things were on track. They even washed our dirty dish towels (normally something our employees do). Multiple employees came to tell me the same thing. They all asked if it was possible to switch full time to Urban Janitorial (I wish we could). The price is so good. We got daily service for less than our current cleaners are charging for 2 times a week. Unfortunately, I'm not able to switch to cleaners, if I could Urban Janitorial would be my first choice. read more

The cleaning ladies did a great job, but $396 for deep-cleaning a 1 bedroom apartment is just kind of ridiculously expensive. They definitely did not do a $400 job. It was a standard move-out cleaning, they were very thorough, but took FOREVER. I was literally there all day for a 700 square foot apartment. They should have sent more people ad it would have been cheaper. Lesson learned. They do a great job, but due to the very high price, I cannot recommend them. Especially when I was quoted $150 originally, then it was $250 after the cleaning ladies saw the apartment to be cleaned, and finally I was billed $396. So yes, shady billing practices, completely FALSE estimates, and extremely HIGH PRICES. But they do a good job.... read more

Got Almas name and number from a friend who had been shopping the service the week before....She gave me the number and said she was very reasonable. The turnover of a project is of extreme importance. For some reason, just after speaking with her, and scheduling for that Saturday. I knew I had nothing to worry about. I felt so comfortable in fact that I left a check there for her onsite the night before as I was not sure I would be available before 12. My Client was extremely happy with the "Finish" of the project. It's not really finished till it's clean.... My new friend took care of it on time, for the right price, and did a great job! Needed to move back into my old place, so I thought it would be a good idea to use this service. 1200 sf apt no furniture no carpets, I told them I don't care how long it takes I just want my place cleaned with extra focus on the floors as I do not wear shoes indoors. They sent 2 ladies over, took about 4 hrs, and basically just lightly surface cleaned. I talked to the people managing the business and explained that the floors were still dirty as well as cabinets, fridge, bathrooms, they said they will send someone over to clean, they came and bullshitted again. Lesson learned, use the cleaning lady my mom uses for her house and charges her half what I paid for her 3500sq house that she leaves impeccable (cut out the middle man and pay people who do your work for you directly) or clean it myself. But seriously they aren't good, and I will never use them again. read more

Wow! Urban Janitorial did a fantastic job cleaning my house! This was my first time using them and they were a pleasure to work with. They arrived right on time and we did a walk through of my place. Alma and Imelda were very attentive to all of my requests and did a very thorough job cleaning everything I asked her to. I've never seen my bathroom look so shiny!
