For a early Christmas gift I treated my in-laws and partner to a day of relaxation at urban day spa. I don't live in spring but have been going off and on again for a few years anytime I'm on that side of town. I was originally introduced by a gift card I had received years ago and have been a fan. How ever this was the best experience yet. I usually just get an hour massage but this time I scheduled two 90min deep tissues and two packages with 60 min massage and scalp and back scrub with mask. It was absolutely amazing. Everyone came out feeling so unbelievably relaxed and happy. We can't wait to go back. Everyone had amazing things to say and Isabel is my new favorite! Just called in trying to use a gift card my little sister got for me and the front desk receptionist was so rude. I will be driving to another location as customer service is everything. She got me a gift card that she purchased around Christmas time and the guys was so I'm working like I'm just trying to get scheduled and we can figure the rest out when I come in but he was so adamant that they don't have this service anymore when it's signed and initialed and purchased on 12/20/23 and he kept saying it's old . Almost as if he didn't want my services . If all went well I would've been a return customer . HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this location if you want good service from the receptionist . Facility is nice and clean. However, my masseuse did not speak English and I do not speak Spanish so parts of my massage were very uncomfortable and as she could not understand what I wanted. Why they would place an English speaking customer with someone that could not speak English makes no sense and I think it is very inconsiderate. Came here for the fist time today - loved it!! Calling to make my reservation, to asking questions, each time has been a friendly voice on the phone and very helpful. I got the Petite package, which includes a 60 minute massage, facial and aroma bubble bath. UDS has a very clean and relaxing environment to it. We were asked to arrive 10 minutes early to fill out some paperwork. It's nothing crazy, took me about 2 minutes to fill out and we were called shortly after. My masseuse, Lily, was awesome! Highly recommend. Very professional and explained everything step by step. At the reception counter, there's a sign with their _____ month specials. The guy said every month, an email goes out with whatever specials they have going on. This month, had 2 higher priced packages for just $69. My son bought a massage for me for my birthday and I was so happy to go. But my therapist had no idea what on earth she was doing and the room was freezing cold. The therapist kept digging her elbow into the center of my spine, directly on the bone and it was extremely painful. I was flinching in pain but she still remained clueless, so I finally had to ask her to PLEASE STOP! Also the massage oil or cream or whatever she was using was ice cold. Idk who trained this lady but she gave the absolute worst, most uncomfortable massage I've ever had in my life. She needs to be retrained under a more experienced therapist or find another profession. And to add insult to injury, the guy at the front was asking for a gratuity! I was too outdone! Don't misunderstand me; I tip very well for great service, and even mediocre service. But this was an absolute horrible massage experience and I had NO intention of tipping! Here I am four days later and my back is still aching from that woman digging her pointed elbow into my spine! Not the muscles on each side of the spine, but directly on the bone! Went to get a relaxation massage and FROZE my behind off with no heated mat nor blanket, ... It was so cold I couldn't relax enough to enjoy my massage. The therapist was very nice with good pressure, tried her best, she even tried to upsell 4 hot stones but I have sensitive skin to heat. As I lay there I could actually feel my tissues contacting reducing my circulation, which I did not want. I need my circulation to be increased not the opposite. I did notify the receptionist about how cold it was in his reasoning was some clients get a hot stone massage and it's too warm so they turn up the air. In my opinion that is the most lame excuse there is. I've been to the Copperfield location and have never experienced freezing of this magnitude. I now live 2 miles from this location but I'd rather make the drive to Hwy 6 and enjoy my massage than to pay for a cryo (cold) massage at this location. read more

This was my second trip back (my wife had sent me up for Father's Day previously). I hadn't been sleeping well and was hurting all over. I decided it would help my sleep to get some kinks worked out and tried to get an appointment scheduled during the work day. Thankfully, Urban Day Spa allows you to book online and I was able to get an appointment same-day (booked a 1:45PM appointment at around 10AM). Based on one of the prior Yelp recommendations, I booked with Ricardo and I have to second the praise. Ricardo was extremely thorough and attentive. I treated a friend and myself to a Classic Massage and the Salt Scrub and body Mud Mask. They only had a Male and Female available at the hour that we reserved. My friend being a total "He-Man", did not want a Male Tech to work on him; so I took the male Alvaro and my friend took the female Aidee. Aidee looked a little uncomfortable as my friend does look a bit intimidating.....and I'm sure she assumed that she'd be taking care of me. LOL Alvaro was very polite and professional. I did list that I did not want my neck worked on, but he either did not review my chart or forgot. It was OK, I didn't correct him. The Zen music was relaxing. The room was not too hot or too cold. The Rain Shower felt awesome and my Tech made sure the water temp was to my satisfaction. Be extra careful walking in the Spa Slippers. They are super slippery while walking on their pristine clean floors. The bathroom (Toilet) very clean, however; I did not see soap to wash my hands after i used the bathroom. I have been going here (mainly for couples massages with my boyfriend) and they are amazing! My boyfriend and I have been for couples massages almost 10 times now and it's been amazing every-time. I also think $49 an hour is a great price compared to other spas I've seen, especially considering the great job they perform and they are so close to home so it's not a far drive at all. I needed this massage! I must admit that a massage at Urban Day Spa is the best value for the money. I have not been able to beat this deal anywhere. I called in and made an appointment shortly before I arrived. My therapist was kind and did exactly was I requested. I also booked a massage, but it was not worth the money in my opinion, The massage consisted of a cleansing and a masque, but that was it. My facial went as follows: 1. Cleansing 2. Hot Towels 3. Applied Masque 4. It was left on for about 20 mins to dry. 5. Hot towels to soften and rinse 6. Moisturizer 7. All done I guess for $40, I could have washed my face at home and saved myself some money. I guess I was expecting a shoulder or hand massage while my masque was drying. I think that was the missing component that made it a less than memorable experience. I also think you get a better deal if you purchase a spa package. I paid $85 for a one hour massage and 30 minute facial. There is a package for $69 which includes the combination of an Aroma Bubble Bath, 60 minute Classic Massage, and a Petite Facial. I have been going to Urban Day Spa on Louetta Rd in Spring for over 3 years now. One of my early massage appointments was with Sandra, and she was Terrific. I have been scheduling with her for the last 3 years because she is the Best for my kneads (play on words there). My soreness and knots are taken care of when the massage is over. When you find someone good for you, you keep going back, and that's what I have with Sandra. On a scale of 1 to 5, Sandra rates a 10. I have never had a better massage than what she provides for me every time I go in. Urban Day Spa has a Wonderful Staff. The place is always clean and quiet. They also offer lots of Specials for you to choose from, and when I schedule those, it's always with Sandra. I schedule an appointment quite often and looking forward to my next one. read more

Our first time coming here. My best friend got me a gift card and I finally used it for the prenatal massage. Let me start by saying I've never had a massage before and was really anxious about it. My assigned person was Tania she made me feel really comfortable and was extremely gentle (I'm 33 weeks pregnant) as well as very professional. She started off slow and worked her way around. The first 20 minutes sucked for me since I had so much tension that she was trying to get to then after that it was so much better I ended up falling asleep. This is the first time in forever that I've been able to relax enough to knock out. I was a little sad that my visit had to come to an end. My husband had a similar experience with a facial. He thinks his person was Ana (I hope) but whatever the case he was also extremely relaxed and said it was one of the best facials he has ever received. Completely lacking in customer service at booking and check in. This place has no frills, no heated tables etc. Can hear everything through the walls. It appears to be an old insurance office or something that they tried to turn into a spa. I had the Urban Getaway package. Therapist was super sweet but I'm not sure she ever went to massage therapy school? It was more like a rub than a massage. No pressure applied just like a rubbing motion. Oil had no smell. I would never call what I received which was 1.5 minutes of oil on my scalp and an aggressive rubbing motion a "scalp" massage. The facial should not be called that either. It was just wet wash cloths that smelled like someone left them in the washer too long. The 3 products had no smell either. My face was cleaned with the cold washcloth that was left on there for the "soaking" part. Not relaxing at all....the Vichy shower was the best part. I still left my therapist a nice tip Bc again, she was super sweet, but it was definitely a disappointing experience. read more

I had my first massage here since it was recommended by my husband. I did the essential package. My massage therapist was amazing. However I gave 3 stars because I did not feel that my needs were met. In the questionnaire it asks you spot that you want more focus and I circled my hands, feet, and my shins. My hands were worked on but my shin's and feet were completely missed. I had the essential package which included the foot spa. I am HUGE on getting my feet massaged. I'd rather have my feet massaged for an hour over my body lol. So when I got the essential they said it was more of a pamper with light massage. There was no massage and it was just an awkward experience I think. Not worth the $49 it cost plus the obligatory 20% tip. So I never go in thinking it's $49 because you know you they will ask you to tip a certain amount. I give a service for my job and I actually do not accept tips because you paid for the service i am providing you and I very much feel the same way about massage/spa places. I love getting them but they have gotten way more expensive plus the tip. This place is one the more reasonably priced places and I see that and appreciate it. The place was super clean and the music was nice. The massage therapist did a fantastic job. I've gotten plenty of massages and I will say she was one of the best I've had. I'm 24wks pregnant and never had a prenatal massage before because of the taboo associated with it. I've heard both sides of the debate and thought that surely it's safe or else it wouldn't be offered. Since I have a low-risk pregnancy, I decided for myself that I will give it a try so that I can relieve my back ache and tension. My husband made an appointment a week in advance for a Sunday at 3:30pm which was easy to do. This was one of his bday gift to me. The prenatal massage is only $65 for 1hr 15mins!! This is a great deal! I arrived 10mins early and completed my paperwork. Checking in was quick and easy. My masseuse was Aidee. She was really nice and accommodating. I asked her all of the questions any worried pregnant woman who is getting a prenatal massage for the first time would ask. She explained that she is medically trained and knows what areas she can and cannot massage. I'm also one who likes a deep tissue or Swedish massage, which I've heard is not good while pregnant. She explained that it's not true and can apply pressure. She reassured me that it will not harm me nor the baby, so I was comfortable to begin. I got undressed and she returned within 5mins or so. She adjusted my pillows and blanket and then got started. I had to lay on my side. They don't have a table with a cut-out for the belly that I imagine lol. She definitely applied the pressure that I wanted. I just couldn't get comfortable because I was thinking way too much which made me tense up more. I was psyching myself out and just kept worrying about the baby. I had to tell her to apply less pressure because it was becoming too much for me lol. Aidee was great. It really was me, so I couldn't truly enjoy my massage. I will definitely be returning when I'm not pregnant to get more massages by myself or with my husband for a couple's massage. They have really affordable prices and deals, and you're getting the same quality massages like you would anywhere else if not better! read more

She made me feel super comfortable and kept checking throughout the massage to make sure i was feeling okay. I was able to make an appointment the same day I called and had no issues. Went straight in right at my appointment time and had a brief consultation with my massage therapist. When you walk in, it looks bare and needs more decorations and furniture. There were no magazines to read either. (No biggie) I got to the room for my massage and changed. It threw me off that there really was not a great place to put my clothes, etc. All they had in the room was a coat hanger (with about 6 hooks) affixed to the back of the door. I am used to their being something like an ottoman where i can put my things. I started my deep tissue massage with Sandra. She was very professional and used firm pressure like i had requested. I asked her to work on a certain part of my back and she spend a majority of the time working on it. She did great! She only spoke when i asked her a question, which is nice because i want to relax and not talk. The atmosphere was good with the music and lighting. The room was cold, and the table i was laying on was not heated like other places so when she uncovered a part of me it was a little uncomfortable. It got better when she started massaging. When i left she asked if I wanted a water, and she came back with a paper cup of water. (I was expecting bottled water) I can say i will definitely be back to see Sandra. She did an amazing job and really loosened me up. Even though their were less luxuries that other places, what can you expect from a $40 massage? Ana was amazing. She worked my neck and shoulders out like no one ever has!!! I was pleasantly surprised at the effort she put into my massage! She didn't neglect the rest of my Jody but she actually listened to me and my requests. I booked my appointment online and I arrive in the door 10 minutes early. I had to of course fill out a little paperwork about myself and what type of massage I wanted. I got the most expensive massage,which included two types if shower massage, two types of facials and two types of massages As soon as I was finished they took me right back. My massager explained everything to me in the beginning and whenever he was about to do something. Before every touch he told me, as to not make anything awkward or uncomfortable. My first visit to Urban Day Spa, walked out of there a new and relaxed person!! I was tensed up from a very stressful month at work. My shoulders were so tensed up, was unable to sleep at night. After my massage, I slept like a baby. Arriving at the spa, first impression was nice. The receptionist was very friendly, the spa itself was very clean and smelled nice. Just sitting in the receptionist area, listening to the soothing music, put me in a relaxed mood. I was greeted by my masseuse, Lili, and shown to the room. She introduced herself and before beginning the massage, we discussed what areas I wanted her to focus on, my shoulders and back with medium pressure. The room itself was clean, dark, music playing through speakers and smelled nice. Before beginning the massage Lili made sure to tell me that if the pressure was ever too much, just to let her know and she would put less pressure. There was one point where I needed her to ease up, only because my back has been so tense and any little pressure would hurt like crazy, but she eased up and the rest of the massage was great!! This might not be one of the best massages I've ever had but it's definitely in the top 5. The value for the price is very good. A one hour classic massage will cost $39 while most places start at $50 or $55. Most of the therapists I've gotten were very good. You can always tell them if you want more pressure, less pressure, what areas to focus etc. Although for some reason, I always end up being sore afterwards even though I always specify I want light pressure. The facility is clean and the rooms are simple but relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place to people. The best thing about it are the prices. read more

This was my first time coming here. My husband and I got a 60min deep tissue couples massage and it was above and beyond our standards. They have great measures in place to help stop the spread of Covid19 which we were thankful for. I had the pleasure of having Dania as my masseuse and my husband had Maria. Hands down both ladies gave the best professional massage we have every received we were sad when the time was up.
