I LOVE my hair, it hasn't been this healthy in a long time. She gave me blonde highlights and added warm honey tones, and styled with a soft curl. She styled me exactly how I wanted it to, and she killed it So happy with the service and the prices were also great for what I usually get. I will definitely be back, thank you Wren & Ivy. After trying two or three other stylists ~ which was an experience! ~ I was lucky to find Joanna. Joanna is hilarious, sweet, thoughtful, and wildly talented. I see her once a month for color and a cut. She keeps my hair a vibrant red and cuts it into a funky pixie that looks half-elf and half-hellion. And if someday I want to switch to a matronly blonde bob, she'll excel at that, too. The salon itself is comfortable and relaxing. The only drawback is that parking can get tight.

And I can't or were able to complain because I'm alway satisfy with her works. She takes her time. She listen and she's happy when you're happy with the end results. Armed with her bubbly personalities and great customer service, I alway manage to feel good when I leave her. I came to her today because I need a retouch to cover my greys, like all ten of them. You may laugh but it is serious business. And summer is around the corner so I needed a change. I wanted the ombré highlights. But I don't like the blunt line between the dark and my highlights in the middle of my head. Beside I was little scared on how it will turn out. So with Kristin's suggestion. We decided to do a settle ombré. My retouch (close to my scalp) will be a level 4. Like a dark brown. The gradually lighten to level 6, light brown, finish with a level 8, that's like a caramel color. I love it. It's very settle. Nothing crazy. The whole salon itself was good. I wish they have a receptionist at the front at all time. For 1st timer. It can be a little confusing for them. You don't know what exactly to do but just sit down. The decor is great. Plenty of windows for natural lights. Exposé wood beams on ceiling gives it a nice touch. Overall it's a good place to be at and when she's done with me, I look gorgeous...

I met her at https://antonaccisalon.com in which she also did my highlights. I followed her to each salon she moved to as I was a loyal client. I then moved out of the Charlotte area in 2019. I have since come back presently and now the salon receptionist rudely left a message saying "since I have not been back since 2019", and Caroline was not taking new clients that I would have to see someone else and Caroline would not accommodate me. I was a loyal client for many years and this is how I am treated?! Where is her loyalty? I guess she is burnt out already. Disrespectful, snooty and I will go to see someone else that is more professional since loyalty is a one way street and not reciprocated. I will take my business to antonaccisalon.

I hate to give a three star review because I know how important public opinion is to small…read morebusinesses. I went to the salon just about two months ago in June for a keratin treatment. Overall the service was lovely. Winnie seemed very experienced, and even when there was a miscommunication over the inclusion of a trim, they found a way to fit me in. I was initially told the treatment would start at $500, which is something I'm accustomed to, and left the salon paying over $700. Hair for black women is our form of expression, so a treatment that would help with manageability overrides initial concerns for price. Where I started having issues, was when I left the salon. Granted it was a hot day in June, but by the time I got home, my hair needed to be rest straightened showing frizziness and fraying. If you know anything about keratin treatments, the treatment does not activate unless your hair gets to a certain temperature and is left bone straight for multiple days on end. I of course, followed the instructions and left my hair untouched for multiple days, surpassing the initial three day period. As soon as I went for my first wash, I knew there was something different about this treatment. For someone who has been getting keratin treatments for around 10 years, I have an expectation of what it does to my hair texture, and immediately noticed it felt like I had already been washing my hair for a month. Weeks go by, and the issue progresses. A treatment like this typically lasts me around 5 months, and by the end of month one, I was starting to feel due for ANOTHER treatment. Some of these concerns are difficult to put into words, and I understand majority of Meraki's customers do not have ethnic hair, but paying over $700 for a treatment and not having the results I expected has been frustrating. There's areas that seem as if they were left unsaturated, and my roots have kinky curls that are not resemblant of regrowth in just a 2 month period. I hate that I've shared a review this far after my experience, but my main complaint is on logevity...and I've only been able to determine that in the aftermath. I'm not sure if the keratin is a weaker grade than the one I'm used to or it was an issue with saturation, but i don't see myself going back for another treatment, especially at that price.
