Do Not Bring Your Pet Here…read more I strongly recommend that pet owners think twice before bringing their pets to this groomer. A few months ago, I showed up early to pick up my dog from his appointment and heard a dog crying out. A short while later, the groomer came out with my dog and told me that she had been removing hair from inside his ears. In my opinion, ripping hair out of a dog's ears without appropriate pain management is 100% unacceptable. The only reason I discovered this was happening was because I happened to arrive early. After that experience, I never brought my dog back. I also spoke with another customer who told me that the groomer injured her dog while shaving him. According to her, her dog became so frightened by the experience that he was subsequently afraid to go to grooming appointments. She eventually switched to a different groomer, and she told me that her dog is no longer afraid of being groomed. Based on my own experience and what this other customer described, I would not recommend this groomer. Our pets depend on us to protect them, and I believe they deserve to be handled with patience, care, and compassion.

Our vet even said "whoever you are taking your dog to obviously knows what they are doing because her ears are extremely clean". That made us even more confident in the care she is given at the paw spa! Best groomers in the area!

We used to take our dogs there but finally got tired of the bad service. Dogs will come back home…read morestressed as they kept them for hours, sometimes the whole day. The last couple of times I wasn't sure if they were even washed as they smelled worse when they came home. If their appointment was at 9am they wouldn't be ready until 4 or 5pm. We switched to a different groomer and boy! What a difference!! Besides the service, this woman has absolutely no ethics and will make up stories and go out of her way to try to cause trouble for ex-customers and I heard she'll do the same any former employees.

He didn't look very clean like he does at other places, the only parts that were trimmed were his paws and but. His trousers which I asked to be trimmed were not, and his nails were barely touched. He didn't smell clean either. After 2 weeks his paws were overgrown, and for the first time in 6 years he has a hot spot and is constantly biting himself. I took my other dog years ago and was always pleased, and he still has great reviews, but this was an awful experience and I won't be back

I have been coming to Carol to groom my pup for over 5 years. The service and quality of cuts is…read moreexcellent. My dog (shih tzu ) has allergies. Carol is very consensus to this fact and I have never had any issues with the products she uses. I mention this because other places I have taken my pup to have resulted in bad ear infections or hives on the skin after the grooming. I am very happy that within the past year she now offers additional services. Such as dental cleaning. My dog is very difficult when it comes to allowing us to brush her teeth properly. Since she started getting the service at goldleaf her teeth always come back nice and white. They take great detail into removing the hair from the ear. Its a big deal for me since thats where yeast starts to develop and leads to ear infections. All dogs are caged individually as they wait for the owners to return. Its not a big place so make reservations in advance. I have tried countless groomers from New York and have been highly disappointed, Goldleaf has put all others to shame! In addition, you need not worry about your poor pup getting an appointment to only be forced to pick up 5 hours later [usually due to overbooking]. There is no reason for that!!! This is done in NYC a lot. Here your appointment time is exactly the time your dog goes in for grooming. Then 1.5-2 hrs later [depending on service you ask] he/she is ready for pickup with a pretty bow or bandana.

She takes in larger dogs and even works with them if they are shy, a little dog aggressive and other issues. I have a very sweet but dominant Doberman and she had no problem with her.
