It was spotted quickly by the staff (Taylor) who took immediate action and had Belle transferred to the emergency vet. During this period, we received very regular updates from SDL as well as the emergency vet. We are very thankful for what they did for Belle and us. Their handling of this event convinced us that we have been boarding at the best place for our fur babies and plan to continue to use SDL for our future needs. Whit and Kathy Conway

I only gave one star because I had to in order to post this. they DO NOT DESERVE EVEN ONE STAR!!…read morethis place is the lowest of the low. I had been dealing with them for over a year along with my mom and daughter. I didn't owe them a dime and on the last two occasions that I used them they failed me. they failed my pup LB even more on the last and never again trip to them. he became sick on the 28th with diarrhea and still was himself. on the 29th he acted like he felt slightly bad. that evening I called them and made and appointment for first thing next morning. the next morning 30th, they tested him for parvo and claimed he had it but due to me not having "funding" was their words, they refused treatment. he died later that night. the lady stood right in front of me and told me to go and get some "funding" then we will talk about treatment. how could they and if that wasn't bad enough a person calls and claims she was my pups owner and they pulled my charts and told her all about my animals and history along with lies about me. this place does not deserve anything but to be shut down. do not go there because it does not matter that they know your pup or dog is dying. if you have no money regardless how much business you bring them they will let your baby die!!

I found the work environment extremely toxic. No person or job should ever make you feel like…read moreyou're not smart enough or good enough for the position you are in, especially when you're giving it your all. Sometimes bosses are just not good leaders and you should try not to take it personally. The micromanagers will make you feel nervous all the time, and worried that everything you do is wrong. It's hard not to take it personally and begin to question your own worth. The boss has poor communication, lacks intelligent leadership skills, and walks around with an air of hostility. He will address a problem by screaming/yelling, nasty looks, derogatory comments, snide hallway remarks, and talk about you negatively with your other colleagues. While not every job is perfect, you want to work in an environment that will not make you feel devalued or worthless.

He made sure my dogs had no fear and gave excellent care since I didn't need to see the veterinarian and it was a routine vaccination. I will update once I go back and do see the veterinarian. One thing to know, however, the price of a spay is quite expensive here. I will be going to Tri-County Animal Clinic in Sevierville for my dog's spay which will be about $100 less. It's a very clean office as well with an exceptional veterinarian. It's just a very long drive for me. Both are great vets depending on where you're located.
