I had a simple intimate marriage last Saturday. But I splurged on flowers. Uptown Flowers treated me like my wedding was a big job for them and I was an important client! Even though I ordered only two boutonnieres, a brides maid's bouquet and a bride's bouquet and an arrangement for our hotel room. The flowers were wonderful and exactly what I wanted. I had ordered them from New Mexico so I was a little worried. William came over the morning of the wedding on a Saturday to replace a few wilty delfinias. He didn't charge me and was charming and quick. He fixed them up in the hotel lobby and made two small bouquets for for last minute brides maids. The wedding was simple and only four people plus my husband and I. But the flowers made it so special. All the girls were thrilled with their flowers and took them home. Talk about excellent customer service! Uptown Flowers is top notch! I have relied on their services for birthdays and just because moments. In my first experience, I did not have internet access and Bev walked me through my options to deliver flowers for my best friend's birthday. Although I could not see what was delivered, I knew they did a great job when my friend called me in tears!!! Bev also mentioned they also have a website I could order from and that they would keep my account information on file because I live in San Francisco. The next event happened today, when I ordered an orchid to be delivered to my sister. I was able to view the arrangement online. I even had an unusual request, to add a pepper spray key chain as a gift. My sister was assaulted. Without a doubt, Bev and her team delivered above and beyond expectations. Starting off in the downtown area, I needed to find something in the plant department to take to a funeral stat. I look up places that were open and saw a few that were close. The first one was a boutique (I discovered after walking up to their closed door) was by appointment only. The second one was Upton Flowers. Lucky for my there was a 30 min parking spot located right in front. As soon as I walk in, the place smells amazing and I see a really large set up and counter. But I was afraid they wouldn't have anything for me. I tell them I'm going to a funeral, they pull a plant off a display, they ask the manager what sort of price they can offer, the next thing I know I'm walking out with a beautiful arranged plant for an affordable price. I'm not sure if they're always that helpful and wonderful or if I got lucky, but I was a very satisfied customer walking out. read more

We contacted Uptown Flowers after our initial florist stopped responding. We were still a few months out from our wedding day, and the owner met with us fairly quickly. We talked numbers and arrangements, he pulled samples from the back to show us, and he was extremely polite. We left awaiting an estimate, and about a week later I emailed him just to be sure he had all the information he needed from us. We never heard back from him. It's a shame, because we were ready to do business; but the silence caused us more last-minute stress trying to find a third florist. Hopefully the organization of Uptown Flowers catches up to its customer service, because I believe it will continue to flourish if it does. read more

ordered a Valentine arrangement from Uptown. To my disappointment, my wife had not received anything and by 3:45 p.m. I called to inquire the status of my order. A recording came on stating that they were not taking any additional orders but did not allow the option to speak with a representative so I emailed the owner instead. To date, I have not received a response. My wife left work without receiving the flowers which were finally delivered after close of business. The next day I called Uptown to speak with the manager who refused to speak with me direclty and my request for a refund was refused by the clerk. I called after a couple of weeks to find out what happened and they said it was too long ago to remember. They would get back to me. They never did. I called back 5 months from purchase and was treated poorly and with little care. Actually hung up on. They said the flowers had been signed for but they could not read the signature.
