When Alex found out that our roof was old and leaking, he and his crew volunteered to replace our old roof for free! We are so grateful! Not only is this an amazing service, Alex's and Allen Roofing's generosity allowed my husband and I to stay in our home. I do not have adequate words and I cannot thank these angels at Allen Roofing for helping us in such an extraordinary way. Not only did they replace our roof, they did not cut corners. It took two days and long hours to complete the project. Thank you Alex and Allen Roofing. Your kindness literally saved us. They did…read morenot wash the top strip of vinyl on 2 sides of the house, they took paint off the trim of the garage door, the front porch, an attached shed and wood box. The soffit (overhang), which seems should have been included, was not. Took the front of an outdoor speaker off and left it on the ground. They forgot I hired for an unattached shed and when they cleaned it left the bottom 2 boards undone. When it comes to the window cleaning they did a good job minus the window I forgot to take the screen off on the first floor and didn't take the time to tell me so I could take it off. They left an outlet, 8 feet off the ground, covered with tape so when I finally noticed it, it took a ladder and goof off to remove. They left the cable box covered with a shower cap. (little thing, but part of the job.) When I first hired them I continuously received emails confirming, including one that offered $50.00 off a fence cleaning. I called to add the fence and get a price. After 2 more calls and days of waiting I had not heard back from them, so I called and cancelled the whole job. On Sat. Christopher called to apologize so I rehired him leaving off the fence because, according to him, the wood fence was a different procedure and they would have to come back. After the job was completed to their standard it was stated they had a solution that may take off the remaining built up grime still showing and that they would call with a price. To date no call. I tried to send Christopher pictures of the damage and incomplete siding cleaning but his phone number no longer worked. I then called the office, (you never get the same person, they ladies all work from home and seem to not communicate with the boys) to express my concerns, trying to give them an opportunity to correct the issues before I post. It's been almost 2 weeks and no responce. SO I don't know where all these high praise reviews come from BUT it is ill spent money by me. Additionally, after they left I took a little vinegar and water and a mild scrub brush the remaining layer of dirt came off. Though I still need to climb a ladder to finish all the areas of the house that they decided not to clean and, of course, now need to sand and repaint all the areas they took the paint off. I would think twice before hiring these young men!

They were responsive, quoted us fairly, on time, professional and lead with integrity. Last fall when we received the quote, we had some other repairs on the house that needed to be completed first. Davco told us what we could do in the meantime to tide us over, which they were under no obligation to do. Their suggestions worked AND when we reached out to them last month to say we were ready to start our chimney and foundation work, not only did they honor the quote, they had us booked on the calendar within a week. The masonry work they did on our house looks beautiful and they're even coming back to complete the last couple of spots after National Grid wraps our power lines. I can't say enough about this company. We will always use and recommend them.

The contract stated 98LF,5"wide, and 6" deep as discussed.the price of the job was 8,400.00 which was paid in cash 50% to start, 25% after removal of forms and 25% upon completion. The job was started approximately June 10th, by mid August the cement was pitting, a crack formed where the sidewalk meets the patio, no backfill was placed and cement on the garage and house.Dave was contacted and did send a worker to clean but nothing else was addressed. Two other workers stopped by and stated the job was not done correctly there is a heaved, and the crack was a combination of no rebar and excavation was not done properly. Fast forward to April 2026,after the winter there is a second crack on the east side connecting to the existing front sidewalk. My husband contacted Dave via email stated the job is not complete no backfill still and two cracks now. Dave set a worker to backfill and stopped himself where he had a conversation with my husband about the cracks and in his mind the job was completed and offered no reason for the cracks. I have left 2 voice messages May/June No response! The ironic piece of this story the supervisor of this job stopped by August 2025 on his own to make the necessary corrections to the job. Unbeknown to us he had been fired from Davco 2025 based on two botched jobs one being a garage as told to us by an employee. All I want is what I paid for and a little customer service goes a long way. The owner could care less if a customer is pleased. He tries to bully people by his attitude and belligerent manners. Made a complaint to the BBB which he has not responded to. I would not recommend him or his company to a dead man!

They used satellite images to determine the repair and their assessment is that you need to replace it. Please check the reviews on Reddit for more honest reviews about this company. In addition their communication is slow, their phone is never answered and they don't call you back to discuss details or answer questions or explain anything. Edit after their response: While they say they came to the property, they never did. They gave us a quote from satellite photos and never even saw the rain damages which was the reason I reached out in the first place. When they said they couldn't reach the tenant, I immediately provided them with the photos and videos I had. The tenant also called them to follow up and was informed that nothing else was needed. Yet I had to email again days later to ask if the quote was ready. I emailed asking for someone to discuss / explain the quote to me and got a response asking for a time to call. I shared my availability and have not received any calls. I tried calling them yet there was no answer. Finally 2 weeks later we had to call another contractor come and take photos of all the rain damage and provide a proper quote. Then when I shared this review the owner immediately called me. I've attached the communication that started on the 8th of July. I would like them to provide me with the images and proof/report from the onside inspection they did. They are lying, as they never stepped foot on my property to see and assess the damages.

They charged me over $500 to put a few drops of caulking on top of already existing screws (picture attached.) Sure enough, the roof leaked again, this time I climbed on the roof to see what has been done. That is when I discovered that all they did was to place single drops of Caulking on top of already existing screws. I hired another roofer and had the skylight sealed and the leak stopped, even with the recent heavy rain. This new roofer charged me only $350 for the work. My mistake was that I trusted Star Roofing's words, and did not go up on the roof to check the work myself. Lesson learned! The awful thing is that not only I would never trust this company ever again, but now I can't trust other good workers who actually do what they charge a costumer for. Yes, unfortunately one BAD APPLE, ruins the whole box.
