I scheduled an appointment using MyChart for a new patient visit over the phone. I have updated…read morelabs from a couple months ago on my records and just needed to touch base with a doctor for medication management. On the day of my appointment -- half an hour before I expected the call -- I got a phone call telling me I had to come in person. I could NOT, which is the reason I scheduled on the phone... I was told the cancellation wouldn't be held against me. The front desk lady fumbled around on the schedule and scheduled an in person visit for two days later. I woke up to more news about the measles outbreak and decided it was unsafe to go in person as I have a five month old baby who would have to come with me. Just a few hours later I received a MyChart letter addressed by Brittany Ellis, NP (thought this was fairly unprofessional. Why not use the clinic name?) telling me I was no longer welcome to schedule there because I "canceled" two visits. I canceled ONE visit. They allowed me to schedule a phone appointment and then told me "OOPS! Not sure why it let you do that!" Just very much annoyed I was told the first cancellation wouldn't be held against me since the system allowed it to be scheduled in error. I cannot find good primary care in the upstate and this continues to be true. Cannot wait to move.
