I placed my order on Target.com for a sofa. The delivery company assigned to my order was EFW. The shipment was supposed to arrive June 7 but it did not. After multiple calls/chats, I finally received a delivery date and time, June 18, 2021 between 6:45am-11:45am. On June 18 at 10:15am I received a call from the driver with EFW who told me he would be arriving in about 20-30 minutes and proceeded to tell me that he would only be dropping off my sofa to the lobby of my apartment building, not to my door. I immediately told him that's not going to work for me he's going to have to bring it to my door just like everything else I order from target, especially the biggest item I've ever ordered from target. Within 10 minutes a representative from EFW called me telling me that I have a "curbside delivery" not to the door delivery which is false because on my shipment receipt the service level says to the door! The representative proceeded to let me know that because I live in an apartment building, to the door means to the lobby door not my apartment door. It was the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life! I don't live in the damn lobby. I'm being discriminated against because I don't own my own home I live in an apartment so they refuse to deliver to my front door like they do for home owners. There was no way I, a female, would be able to take a sofa up 11 flights by myself! I don't own a dolly or live with a man to help me with my shipment. I was never told or notified I would be receiving my shipment at the curb of my building at the time of purchase by Target or by EFW. This was crazy! This was FALSE ADVERTISMENT ON A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL!! I couldn't believe that my order from target, TARGET, this reputable company was doing this to me. I called Target customer service immediately and explained my situation. Before I could even finish my story, the representative knew I was talking about EFW and told me unfortunately there was nothing she could do to help me. She advised to just refuse the shipment and let EFW send the order back to Target and get a full refund. I wasted 5-6 weeks waiting around for an item that I expected to be delivered to my door for only to be played games with on the day of delivery. I will be filing a suit against Target and EFW for false advertisement and discrimination. Target needs to sever their ties with EFW because they aren't doing their job. They are deceiving their customers. EFW is the biggest joke of a freight company that I've ever experienced. This is a violation of California Code, Business and Professions code - BPC 17500 which prohibits businesses from knowingly or recklessly making false or misleading statements or otherwise deceptive statements designed to promote the sale of goods or services.

My shipment was never scanned, vanished without a trace, and the staff gave conflicting excuses. What I saw there was complete chaos -- packages stacked carelessly, no accountability, and no effort to resolve problems. Even though it carries the UPS name, this store is a franchise location and operates with no professional oversight. Do not assume the UPS logo means your package is safe here. This store should not be in Carytown considering the quality of service you receive.

For some reason, the pickup date changed one business day sooner. I called about this discrepancy and the team here said they'd ship it back to the sender if I didn't pick it up by their new deadline. I was out of town and had to have a friend get it for me, since they were unwilling to hold it until the original pickup date (just the next business day!) when I was back and able to get it. As a neighborhood store in a small city, I expect a little more neighborly kindness and flexibility. It would have cost them nothing to hold onto my package until the next business day, or to at least treat me with some decency and empathy. Terrible experience with the supervisor, Patrick, and the team at this location. It felt like they were on a power trip of some sort and holding my shipment hostage from me. I'll never use this location again and will plan to use FedEx next time. Update: after telling me a friend could pick it up for me with written permission, this store refused to let them pick it up. The ineptitude of this store is unbelievable.

My mother and I originally agreed upon using…read moreanother moving company to move her items and a few of my possessions from her home to their storage and then again into her new home. Against my advice, my mother unfortunately fell for sweet words and an enticing lower price and decided to choose this company to move her. Bad idea. Lots of damage to the home she left and damage to her new home. Damage to tons of glass and wood products etc. (If we got it into the house without damaging it, why can' you?) ((keep the towels and wrapping on when moving heavy products through doors)) My review however is not about my mothers experience but my own. One of the movers asked me for drugs. Yep. Asked me for drugs.. Brought this to the attention of the owner and explained the situation to him. Would you believe that he sent the same guy to her new home to deliver and assemble furniture? He did. Every single box of mine was destroyed. I was lucky all I had to move was mostly boxes. My motorcycle had at least two deep scratches and the same for my scooter. Thank god that was it. No idea if she's missing boxes or items yet because they didn't bother with a bill of lading or inventory list. FYI you need one to claim lost or stolen items during move from most insurance carriers. BEWARE. Ironically, she should have gone with "the other moving company"

The owner, Roger explained their process…read moreand ensured me that all of our wood furniture items would be wrapped in blankets and shrink wrap to prevent damage. We also agreed on the number of movers and 1 truck and signed a contract. The day of the move, the owner called and told me that he was sending me 2 trucks and double the movers and sent me a new invoice for several hundred dollars more than the original invoice. When the movers arrived, they were polite and very nice, however they did not wrap all of the furniture in blankets and shrink wrap. After moving all of the furniture into the new home, I saw that many items were damaged. I reached out to the owner and even sent him photos of the damaged items, however I never received a response. By this time, he had already charged my credit card. I was really disappointed with this company and would not recommend. Use someone else.
