Training supervisor has to be one of the most incompetent people we've encountered. Whenever he is training someone new on routes he miss delivers packages to our address for different addresses and never takes our outgoing packages, even when we specifically call for pickups. I am still waiting for my package (phone from Verizon) that I ordered 3 weeks ago. Every single day, well the whole 4 days that UPs seems to work around here, they've had an excuse! The weather that has most around here having 1 day off has given our lazy UPS driver from HAMMOND Indiana STILL saying can't deliver for last 3 days... The snarky woman offered half information in regards to telling me what I needed to pick up a package. Very rude. Needs to be fired immediately. Unfortunately I have to do business with this place on a regular basis. Since the workers at this establishment are protected by union contracts, their level of service absolutely reflects the limitations of the labor agreements they have. This is the fourth instance where my package was failed to be delivered and or not able to be found within the location. Furthermore, my package was scanned onto a truck yet no delivery was attempted. Asking the agent at the front desk is like pulling teeth, all she does is look at her screen and if she doesn't see anything on her screen then that is as far as she is willing to go! There is no empathy or priority on resolving customers issues at the lower level! This UPS is a DAMN joke they should close this place down. My package was suppose to be delivered the 22 and I wasn't there to sign so they said the driver will deliver to the access point (which is literally 2 blocks away from my house). When I went to the access point the next day they didn't have it and was told to go back the next day. 2nd time I go to access point they still don't have it and the guys tell me the guy ups driver doesn't do his job. So I found out my package is in this location and that the drives didn't scan it so I called yesterday at 6 and they were going to hold my package so I can pick up these people had 3 hours and they didn't find my package. Had a very cheap package of goods being delivered out of this depot. For some ungodly reason it required a signature. Well the problem is I'm not home during the day so there's nobody there to sign for it. Supposedly I have had packages stolen which is totally false. You can only talk to a corporate number which is obviously a call center in china and those people are only trained to read the talking points, totally useless. Then got hold of somebody online but the same thing, just followed their talking points. No effort to resolve the problem. Will go forward inquire with the people I buy from what carrier they use and if it's UPS will just not buy from them. Now I see why Amazon switched from UPS. Have never had a problem with them. Wish I could rate 0 stars. Worked there as a seasonal driver's helper for 25 days during the Holidays. I needed a form filled out to show my short-term employment to continue to receive my service-connected disability. I called three times to try and get in touch with the lady who hired me, Salene. Left three voicemails telling her the importance of the matter. No returned call. My Veteran Service Officer left a message letting her know I needed this form which we would email that would take less than 2 minutes to complete showing my employment was seasonal only. No returned call. I called the customer center and told the lady who answered all of this. She said in a very rude matter in broken English, "We don't fill out forms here. Did you tell Salene you would need this form when she hired you?" No, I didn't know I was going to need it until after the seasonal work completed. "Yeah we won't do anything like that." I asked her if she thought perhaps her general attitude and unwillingness to help a disabled veteran for a simple task is the reason and one example the customer center is rated 1.5 stars out of 5 or 3 out of 10 and she said, "I don't know where you heard that we number one (in broken English)." "Now do you want my help now?" She replies in a very rude and annoyed tone. Yes that would be great I said. She gave me a 1-800 # that did not have an option of anything that would help me in any way and did not let me talk to anyone, it just returned to the main menu and repeated the irrelevant options. My driver that I worked with said the UPS employees that work in the office are lazy and completely useless and I couldn't agree more. I had to call the 800 number twice and she was the only one giving me problems. My package was "undelivered" twice when nobody ever knocked or left notice at my door. I received an email saying my package was delivered. I checked the front porch where they say they left it and it wasn't there. I checked my video doorbell footage and there was nothing showing a UPS driver delivering a package. I called and the rep said I would receive a call back in one hour. Nope. I called again and someone who doesn't speak English very well did absolutely nothing. A UPS driver came to the door and gave me about 10 seconds to answer. By the time I got to the door, he was in his truck and didn't bother coming back. I tried to file a claim but they said I can't because the status shows as delivered. I called the company I ordered from and they offered to send a replacement order. Hopefully UPS can match the address and actually deliver it to my house. I was at my house waiting for a package to arrive and noticed online that my status changed to "delivered", so I called to notify them because there was never a delivery attempt. Apparently now my address is flagged and they won't deliver to my house. I've called many times over the past year and also talked to my driver to try and explain the situation. Nobody even cares to help or figure it out. I work all day so I can't be at home at 12 noon to sign. They keep saying they'll look into it and nobody follows up with me. The customer service employee at this site is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and INCONSIDERATE !!! Every time I come up here I have a problem! I came in today on June 24th 2019 around 2:15pm and asked to return a package, the lady (in an ignorant and rude way) said that's not our package I don't know what that is call them..I asked for the supervisor/manager to get a second opinion and she she "no they won't help you, they don't answer those questions" so I went ahead to get them myself she then said she'll call security and I told her to call them because then maybe they could get the supervisor for me. The supervisor eventually came out and assisted me on how to get my package delivered!! That employee needs to get fired!!
