I was halfway into my handicap parking spot at my apartment complex when a UPS van pulled around the garage and blocked my space. I honked and yelled that he was blocking my space. I ordered something from Amazon. I live in Dayton Ohio. The package arrived in Dayton and then it was shipped to Illinois and then down to Florida. Now it's being shipped all over Florida. I know many people don't like coming to UPS as it's an inconvenience at times to pick up packages. Although in my case I felt I was in good hands with UPS. The company that sent the package Optum Healthcare, had wanted a signature for my husband's medication and we weren't home the two times the UPS guys tried delivering to our home. Therefore, I had to pick it up here. I do believe it's safer to pick up mail in medication here as they don't tamper with any packages and ask for a signature and ID. If I ever need to send something via UPS I will now come here or do my pick ups for mail in medication again here. It's a reliable location not that far from home. read more

If you want bad service UPS is it. Even the customer service is the worst. How do they stay in business? My package was delivered, left in the rain on my steps not in a bag and it's pouring. Had he left it 2 small steps higher it would have been under the awning. It contained edibles and glass. Needles to say it had to be trashed. The replacement was handed to me by the driver and it was crushed. I mentioned that to him and he laughed and said he kicked it then off he went. I reached out to customer service after the first delivery and it literally would have been easier pulling my own tooth. Run from UPS. It can happen to you. read more

And despite the often objectionable behavior of UPS drivers, it was announced on 8/8/23 that they are being granted a raise - from $145,000 a year they are getting already to $170,000 a year over the next 5 years. If they don't see that embarrassingly high pay rate as a blessing of their job performances, I can't imagine why not. I've observed UPS driver behavior for years now and it has gotten noticeably worse every year. From speeding and other very reckless driving to actually THROWING packages onto people's doorsteps to constantly blasting their truck horns as they drive through an apartment complex. If there was an option to do so, I would prohibit my online orders from being shipped by UPS. Unfortunately not one retailer offers such an option. read more

I paid Verizon for overnight delivery. UPS disclaimer says any LTL delivery, I believe meaning less than truckload, which is essentially all of them, does not guarantee delivery. This delivery requires my signature as I understand it, so not only did I pay for an overnight delivery that isn't happening, but I have spent every hour of the day waiting here at home, so that I did not miss the signature opportunity. Now I have no idea if we are waiting until sometime Monday, maybe Saturday, who knows? But I do have to remain here to sign for the package, whenever that is. I am most disappointed and as insignificant an event as this seems to you, it is most significant to me. read more

They need to do some SERIOUS customer service training on their associate Dorris. I just dropped off a few packages to this location because I keep getting damaged shipments and amazon keeps giving me return labels to send them back. Dorris must have asked me a dozen times what was in each box and why I was returning them. After explaining it to her for the fourth or fifth time, she then proceeded to accuse me in a round about way by saying "I find it unlikely you keep getting damaged packages this often" then tells me she won't accept one of the packages because the box is torn, and that "I" as the shipper l, need to correct this before she will submit it. Very rude and disrespectful woman, who clearly doesn't understand after I explained it to her multiple times that the box is exactly how UPS (her company) left it on my doorstep literally a few hours prior. If you go into this location, avoid this little old witch! read more

They have bent and deliver the wrong package before why do not use UPS anymore because of them

I take 1/2 day off work and set up a drop off time for a valuable package so that I can be there when is comes. UPS ignores this and tries to deliver it a day earlier while I'm at work. They send it to a drop off location instead and inform me that I can go pick it up there. REALLY?!? I go to the location and the guy behind the counter tells me to wait until he checks out everybody behind me. (I think that's what he said, he mumbled) He walks down the isle and I follow him. He stops and gets very upset and tells me not to follow him. So I say that I will shop. He tells me that I'm not to shop and that I have to stay at the front counter. (We are not in a private area; we are in the isle of his store.) He tells me that he doesn't have to, and is not going to get my package. He goes back up to the front counter and waits for customers to come in. After waiting on customers, he makes a very loud phone call asking someone if he can call the police on me because he feels intimidated. (Weird, I'm 5'9" and weigh 138 lbs. He has me by at least 100 lbs.) After exchanging words, I ask him again followed saying PLEASE 4 times. I stay up front and from down the isle I see him kick my package. He brings it up front and after I sign for it, he grabs the pad from my hands and says "F*ck your mother and F*uck your father you are an ass hole. I say F*uck you assh#ole. He says "Don't come back to my store. I will send back any packages I receive for you." And There you have it, This is UPS. UPS customer service didn't seem overly concerned. read more

All of the application flyers say part-time employees work 17 and a half to 20 hours a week, but what they don't tell you is that they actually mean about 27 hours a week. I have 16 credit hours worth of engineering classes, and I don't have the time for that many hours of work M-F on top of the many hours of homework I have to get done throughout the week. They flat out lied about the hours and screwed me into needing to find a new job quickly when I could have been looking for one months ago if I had known UPS was going to treat employees like this. Put a package on hold here and that was probably my first mistake. This place is a clown show, packages strewn about the store. Chaos is the manager here. The guy that was supposedly looking for my package seemed confused as to where it would even be at. Don't send me an email saying my package is available to pick up IF YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE IT IS. 20 min in right now waiting for it and no end in sight. driver came to do a pick up and left without picking up the item, i called customer service they said since the driver stop it's considered a complete pickup. what??!! i had to reschedule a pick up and incurr additional cost for said pick up, i asked why we are being charged a pick up when he could have picked it up and didn't that doesn't seem right. again was told it was considered a complete pick up becuase the driver stopped here, i asked for a managere was told i would have to hang up and call back. what horrible service double charging on pick ups that didn't actually get picked up doesn't make sense to me, i don't get to show up to work and not do my job. read more

Every time I go into UPS Customer Center the folks are friendly, but Doris stands out. Yesterday I went in with a box bigger than what I really needed for its contents. Doris explained shipping charges are based on dimensions and told me she'd be happy to cut the box down to save me money. It took her a minute, but she was determined, cutting the box open, folding it down snug, then taping it well. She saved me some money, but better than that she showed she cares about customers. She made my day. She's an example of going above and beyond for the customer, and consistently provides excellent customer service every time I've had the pleasure of seeing her. read more

I worked here part time for about 6 years. I would not recommend seeking employment here. The supervisors treat people terribly, the union is garbage and kisses the managements butt and the pay is horrible. You do not get any benefits until 1 year of employment, even though you have to pay $150 in union initiation fees 1 month in and also have to pay monthly union dues after the initiation fees, which is 2.5 times your hourly rate (about 25 bucks a month, at starting wage). The turnover rate at this hub is horrible, about 90% of the new hires quit within the first month and the union monetizes on this, based on the fact they get $150 for each new hire that comes and goes. Which is probably why they have done nothing to help fix it. You also will notice if you do get employed there, that there is no room for progression at this hub. I worked for 6 years as a part timer and never saw a single opportunity to become full time, because there is large amount of part timers who have been there for 10+ years still waiting to win a full time bid (bids are won on seniority). The job is also back breaking and very overwhelming, especially for the rate they pay you. I would have to agree with Adam L. when he says most people here do dream of quitting for another job and that is exactly what I did. Hope I helped save some people's time and efforts. read more

Poorest customer service, hour posted are until 6 pm, I called but no one answered. I was told by the 800 number that I could pick up my poorly undelivered package between 7:45-8:30pm. The stated hours on the building were 9:30-6 and as well as online. I called to confirm I could pickup but no answer The packaged was supposedly attempted delivery which I was home, the plumber was here and my landlord but none of us heard a doorbell nor a knock on my door. This is twice in one month at a failed attempt to deliver a package to my house. The customer service representative at Trabeau Rd was rude, disrespectful and argumentative. The poorest customer service. At Amazon we guarantee a 2-hour window and our customer can see us coming with their package. So he customer can be present to receive their package. The representative at Trabeau Rd argued and told me that this wasn't the place to complain but to pick up my package and go. That they do a good job. I disagree. I wish I could give zero stars for them I would tell people not to use UPS nor pickup a package at Trabeau Rd. read more

We are writing this message to address an incident of inhumane customer service on the part of the United Parcel Service, otherwise known as UPS. On the evening of May 31st, 2016, my mother and I received a knock on our front door. Due to the absence of a peep hole, we were hesitant to open the door. I replied with "who is it?" I repeated this phrase 3 times to no answer. As I opened my door, I was presented with the image of a clearly unhappy UPS delivery employee who still did not address himself as such. Due to the company's policy for workers to identify themselves upon alerting customer's residences, I questioned why he did notify me of his identity, reiterating that I requested the relevant information three times. The employee called me a liar and aggressively motioned for me to provide a signature for the packages out for delivery. Upon receiving the signature device, I questioned him on his rude behavior, and he replied, commenting that my behavior was rude for questioning his professionalism. The employee began taunting me, answering my concerns with the UPS employee policies with hypothetical narratives, mimicking my questions. When I demanded his name and the name of his superiors, the employee became more aggressive. With the signature device still within my hand, I demanded that I be able to speak to a supervisor. The employee motioned for the device, stating that he did not care about the repercussions that would be ensued due to his unprofessional behavior. While in the midst of still asking for a supervisor, the employee forcefully pushed the door against myself and my mother, motioning for the signature device. With our packages still in his hands and force still applied to our door, we quickly nudged the door shut I protest. While in shock, our immediate attention was highlighted on calling UPS. We were greeted by a general agent after 5 minutes on hold. While the agent could offer minimum assistance, she transferred us to the local UPS division within our area, where we were told that we would be able to speak with a supervisory UPS representative. After retelling our encounter to the manager our experience was addressed professionally. We voiced that we were in possession of the UPS signature device, requesting information for the necessary pick-up services or drop off locations for the device. The supervisor directed that we should have returned the device to the employee, ignoring the violent behavior that the associate presented at our residence. Discussing her reasoning, nonetheless, she insured us that a UPS representative would be out to recover the device, and that dropping the device off was also an option. We were also told that we would receive a follow up call from supervisory staff. While waiting for a follow up call, we were greeted by local Columbus police authorities. We explained the situation to them, and they handled recovery of the UPS device. After filing a report, we waited for a follow-up call. Still with no reply, we called UPS again to actively document our struggle. We were assisted by Cameron S., who provided her employee I.D. (TPA2VXS). She assured us that the matter would be appropriately addressed to the relevant UPS representatives, and that we should expect another follow up call within the next hour. An hour later, we did receive the aforementioned call, which did not accurately address our situation. We were instead told to pick up our packages from the nearest UPS facility. UPS representative Timi L. stated that we would be contacted by the UPS security division, and that the matter could not be dealt with within her division, ultimately with no overall solution reached. While our personal safety is of utmost importance, we our sharing our story because other customers should not have to experience the ordeal that we have gone through. We personally fear for the safety of anyone who comes into contact with this employee, and necessary protocols should prevent occurrences like ours from taking place. Again, it is UPS policy for drivers to identify themselves upon delivery procedures. This instance only highlights one of several areas that are huge issues within the corporation that embodies UPS. read more
