Package wasn't delivered yesterday. Called. was promised it would deliver today. I've had so many delays with this UPS, not sure what the issue is, but yall need to get it together

Driver sat outside my house with us at the door and marked my packages as sorry we missed you and drove off. Never left their truck, never put a note on my door, not to mention was 20 minutes out of their delivery time. read more

I have been waiting on my package since Saturday, January 4th.i requested delivery to my backdoor, and was sitting outside waiting since I have to sign for it. The driver claimed they attempted deliver (they did not, nor did they leave a notice. Since, they claim they have not been able to deliver it because of the weather. My roads are clear. The driver has been within 3 blocks of my house,, and still hasn't delivered it. Upon calling the distribution center, they claim they can't deliver due to the weather. They also said the driver can't find My package. My roads are clear. I want my package. Please contact me. And fire that driver. read more

Have been waiting for multiple packages for over a week from this hub and they apparently don't want to deliver. Delay shown day after day since the 16th of January. This is affecting our business operations as we have customers waiting on parts. All packages have already been in this hub in Kansas City, KS and there hasn't been any bad weather for the last week so a weather delay isn't true. We saw the UPS driver drive past our shop this morning on the 22nd, so what is the deal? We would really appreciate receiving our packages for products we have paid for, for shipping we have paid for. read more

I am done with UPS. My Packages come from the Lenexa center and I will have to say I have never had a good delivery with UPS. Most of the time they deliver to the wrong address and I have to track down the item sometimes the package is badly damages and this has happened twice with fragile perishable items. This time was the last I was supposed to have delivery this Saturday it was put on the truck for delivery Friday night and text were sent out saying delivery before 7pm. 7pm came and went no delivery but texts still saying out for delivery. I went on line tried to do live chat not really a live chat but it said they will make residential deliveries until 9 sometimes later. Nine came and went I kept doing the tracking info and it said out for delivery I tried calling to see how late it would be but couldn't reach a person they were closed and just disconnected. Finally at 10 :02 tracking information said a new delivery date would be posted when available. Monday is a holiday so the very soonest would be 3 days later but who knows. As in several other reviews it's blamed on weather conditions. There are no weather conditions here at this time. It's cold but road are fine and no precipitation of any kind it seems like this is an excuse they use frequently. I have informed the business I ordered from that I will not be placing any more orders as long as UPS is their carrier. Also in the future if I do order something online I will check to see who their shipper is and if it is UPS no order. I will also add I have never had a problem with Fed Ex or the USPS just UPS read more

Tracking information showed delivered, woman met the driver outside, well is was not me, my damn package was delivered to a home in freaking Raytown, Mo. Where is my package? Called office opening a investigation, don't need a investigation, go get my damn package your driver delivered to the wrong house and area. No Kansas City, Mo is not Raytown, Mo. This is the second time, they have screwed up my packages, last time it was in another state. Instead of just scanning the package, why not try reading to see if the address is correct. So done with these people.09/16/2019 UPDATE: My daughters package was delivered today. I will give props where props are due. Thank you for being so prompt in clearing it up. But really drivers should read the address before handing packages off to the wrong home/recipient . 9/17/2019 read more

Funny to see so much negative. Shipped two large boxes. One to Chicago and one to DC. A friend of mine told me to ship from here for better value. These boxes were very large. The one to Chicago was only $25 and DC a little more as farther and heavier. Both delivered on time. No issues. Going tomorrow to ship a box to California. Guy was not overly friendly but not rude. Just did his job. No more. No less. I'm good with it. read more

It was easy enough to find this place, thanks to Google, but no thanks to UPS. The UPS website doesn't even have the hours listed. Nope, I also found those on Google. I also wasn't able to find a local number easily to call and make sure they'd be open to pick up my packages, because that's also not listed on the UPS website. If you're curious, it's open 8:30-8 on weekdays (not open at all on Saturday or Sunday). Aside from the fact that the UPS website isn't very helpful, I did manage to make it here and pick up my packages without any issue. I had a total of four packages to pick up, including two rather large ones. A staff member helped me get them to my car with a cart, which was great. Other than that, this is pretty much just an average UPS shipping facility. This definitely isn't a UPS store, so don't even think about coming here to ship something unless it happens to be the closest thing to your place of business. read more

I had to come here to pick up my package and I wasn't too thrilled about it either. The reason was because the UPS person usually left any packages I ordered (and everybody else's in my apartment complex) in the apartment's office so we could pick our packages from them; however, this UPS person must have been new or different because they were going to redeliver the next day when I was at work. Long story short... I had to come pick it up from this location; otherwise, my package would be sent back to the sender. No bueno. The location of this UPS center was away from the downtown area. I turned in and had to stop for the guard to check with me (there were stop signs that said to stop for the guard). Fortunately, I just had to point at the UPS center building and the guard didn't have to get up. I only saw a few parking spaces in front of the building. I don't think it would ever be so crowded with customers that parking would be unavailable. The staff were nice and got my package pretty quick. I hope that my future packages will be dropped off at my apartment's office because this UPS center was out of the way for me. read more

I either really love this place or really hate it. Lately, I've been a huge fan of it. I have to send a lot of samples for work and the UPS Center is right down the street from our office. They make it very easy to come in and drop off everything I have to. Other times, I've needed to come here because UPS sometimes delivers to my house, sometimes doesn't. Occasionally the driver doesn't like to leave notices of delivery until the "Final Attempt". I've had a few times where UPS has just shipped my stuff back since the driver is incompetent. Other times, my packages are there ready for me to pick up. I can't find a happy medium but I do like the ease of shipping for work and the guys who work the shipping area are super nice. Overall, the good outweighs the bad. So I'm still a fan. read more

I RARELY give negative reviews but I've had it. I am so freaking frustrated with UPS. I get just about everything, except perishable food, online now. So I'm getting deliveries 1-3 times a week. UPS seems to not want to deliver or if they do delver they don't care about the safe handling of the package. I don't live in a great area so I understand being cautious. But they have left HUGE boxes and multiple boxes right out in plane view and no text notification of delivery. On the flip side, smaller, discreet packages I'll get a "signature required" text. (On the rare occasion I am home and waiting on a delivery I'll get a delivery attempted text... really, I'm right here 10 feet from the door. How did you *attempt* to deliver.) All other carriers, if they don't already know me, will call if they can't get access so I can instruct them of the secure spot to leave it. Not to mention they'll take a pic and attach it to the tracking number. I called ups to ask if they could call me from now on and they said no, their carries don't carry phones. Seriously?!? She said I could arrange to pick them up AT ups. I leave the he house at 7 am and don't get home till 8pm, I'm rarely going to be home (and that's only Saturday OR Sunday) to sign for it and I'm never going to get to their center before they close. Besides, going to a store and picking things up kind of defeats the purpose of HAVING THEM DELIVERED!! Basically they get their money from the shipper whether it's delivered or not so what do they care. I did however call amazon and asked how I can fix this. They offered a very handy solution: they can set delivery preference so that UPS is a last resort carrier. Like, they'll send someone on a mule before sending with UPS. But you have to ask for it or it's luck of the draw. Other online stores... if they use UPS, I just won't shop there. WAY to many options these days. By the way... U People Suck! Now, where else can I post this? read more

I received the absolute worst and most disrespectful service I've ever witnessed today from two managers in Kansas City, KS. I am unsure what service center location they are from, however the phone number is 913-573-4821. The first gentleman James specified clearly that he was a manager and I only had a general question about picking up my package from the service center instead of having it delivered after the first failed attempt. Mind you, I have had numerous issues trying to receive this package from UPS already. He became very frustrated with me, yelled at me, would not allow me the opportunity to explain my question, specified there was nobody else I could speak to and that he had no supervisor I could contact. After politely reminding him that I am the customer, he hung up on me and told me I was in the wrong for speaking while he was trying to speak. After I was hung up on, I called back and a young lady named Cara or Kiera answered the phone specifying that she too was a manager, which means that James had lied about being the only manager there. Cara or Kiera, refused to specify her name and tried re-explaining what James attempted to although that was not what I asked. My question this time was to obtain a general or regional managers number to contact them about the customer service I received. Cara or Kiera refused to give me that number after I asked politely and continued to ask what my name was and what I needed the number for specifically. Although she was well aware of the issue, she was extremely defensive and hung up on me as well. The disrespect and rudeness from both managers was unacceptable and out of line. I have never experienced such horrible customer service that upset to the point of tears. UPS is certainly out of line and I will be filing a complaint with as many people as possible, internally and externally. read more

I have had it with UPS. I moved in May and have had at least 20 things shipped to me via UPS. Each time I find out is has been shipped with them, I absolutely dread it. UPS has effected my day to day life in a completely negative way. The driver in this area refuses to deliver to my apartment and has even said it to me. We have a call box outside of my apartment. It is and always has been fully functional. However, the UPS driver refuses to attempt it. This call box is absolutely imperative. I work full time half an hour away, I do not have the time to drive close to an hour from work to the UPS center to pick up packages every week! I have explained to the driver MULTIPLE times on how to use the box. I have even had the box "fixed," which was just brightening the screen so he could see it easier. Still, he refuses to use it. The call box will ring my cell phone, allowing me to let someone in even if I am not there. Each time I am expecting something, I get an email saying delivery attempted... but it's NOT being "attempted" if I'm not even receiving a call. I have spent over 4 hours at LEAST on the phone with UPS since May trying to sort all this out. I have gone to pick up packages at least 3 times each month. I have even been locked out of the center during business hours because they claim they are done accepting customers. I have been promised phone calls and never received them. I was even just promised a Saturday delivery for yesterday, which what do you know, ALSO NEVER HAPPENED! This was promised by a manager! And I might add, every time I go to the center the employees are horrible. I have heard them screaming profanities, including, but not limited too, "FUCK THE POLICE," and so on. It takes a MINIMUM of 25 minutes to pick up a package, because they are so understaffed. UPS has been the most exhausting thing I've had to deal with in a while. This company is a joke. I am in the works with Amazon to update my account to receive everything FedEx. I wish I had one good thing to say about this company, but I have had nothing but horrible experiences and cried too many tears. I can't even do any Christmas shopping because I am terrified to work with them. I hope you can figure out a strategy to better serve your customers... but maybe start with actually SERVING them. read more

Scott is right, it is like a weird secret location, but one I have come to know very well. Since I run a business from home, I know way more about shipping and shipping companies then I care to really know. Just like a romantic relationship, I grow familiar with my Fed Ex and UPS delivery man. Slowly we learn a little about each others lives, he will bring up the newspaper and cover my boxes with plastic when it rains and even pretend not to notice that I don't have on pants early in the morning. I will remember him at Christmas and even help him get packages out of the truck. Then, just when our relationship hits full stride, he disappears, replaced by an unfamiliar face. Before I can break in the new guy, he is leaving notes instead of packages...(he takes the whole "signature required" thing too seriously) and I am at the UPS Center like a nobody. Well, actually, I have developed a new buddy at the UPS Center. He can find my package before I even ask. UPS men may come and go, but for now, I have a steady at the UPS Center. He doesn't have his own truck, but he is a fast runner! Don't even get me started on the Fed Ex location on Front street....... read more

Came here to ship some car audio speakers to my fairing builder, trying to get here was a little challenging because of the room construction, had to take roughly a 10 mile detour around historic west bottoms to basically get across the street from the normal way I would have entered. Pulled in to the shipping facility and was greeted by the gaurd and sent on through. I got inside and a associate showed me what I needed to fill out on the computer which was pretty simple and printed off the label while he packed up my package with enough tape to tie down a horse and gave me my package which I gave to the clerk who weighed it and gave me my total, which I paid and left. I was helped by friendly and helpful staff and my transaction was pretty easy. read more

I'm pretty sure the UPS driver is enjoying the contents of my package as I get screwed by customer service in Atlanta. This location is where the package originated. Don't ship through UPS if it can be avoided. Not sure what the issue is, if they don't pay their employees well or if they just hire thieves. 2x a valuable package of mine has been stolen or went missing. This is a heirloom wedding gift for two very important people in my life. I'll be lucky if I can even get another one of these gifts, especially in time for the wedding. I have avoid buying from Sellers that ship with UPS. Why? They are the worst. With those few purchases I have made with no choice of shipper, I have had delays, damaged items and just plain poor service. I recently had a package scheduled for delivery when I was heading out of town. I left a BIG note on the front door, in plain sight, to leave package on covered porch. Where was it left for two days, In the driveway in front of the garage door exposed to weather and thief's . NOW, I have a package that has been in Lenexa, and KC for two days, scheduled for delivery today, stated on truck, out for delivery and 3 hrs. later a tracking addition was added that stated " DUE TO OPERATING CONDITIONS, YOUR PACKAGE MAY BE DELAYED. / DELIVERY WILL BE RESCHEDULED.Dec-28-17, 10:19 AM, KANSAS CITY, KS. IN case you don't know what that message means, I called and it means Some Employee that should be drawing unemployeement forgot to put the item on the truck for delivery. Instead of correcting it and returning for the package the customer can just wait until they decide to get their act together. Won't ever happen with this company. NOW I'm waiting on a fragile package that is still to be determined when it will go out for actual delivery. PEOPLE , Stop supporting this kind of business or seller using this business. read more

I went from working at UPS for 6 years to Amazon and every single thing is better there! The technology is much more advanced, the pay is better, the hours are better, the work is easier, you are treated like a human being, the benefits are just as good and you get them on day 1(1 yr for ups), the supervisors aren't on you constantly, it is temperature controlled (ups does not heat or cool their warehouses), the company cares about their employees and want feedback, you can go fulltime immediately(over a year wait to drive at ups, 6+ yrs to go FT inside), a wider availability of different jobs, it is an extremely diverse workplace, you get lots of paid time off and vacation hours! UPS even has a union!!! It is an awful company with no soul and teamsters are a corrupt disgrace! They do nothing for their paying members! It took over a year for them to get the money ups owed me for stealing time and paying me the wrong rate. UPS pays their new hires more than a 6+ year employee via "new hire bonuses" in an evil attempt to get old timers to quit. They want a high turnover rate so that they do not ever have to give you insurance and benefits. Management runs the place like a slave drive, supervisors walk back and forth in their sections yelling "Go, go, go!" Watching to make sure nobody stops working for more than a minute. If you need to stop for a min a supervisor has to come in and work for you while you stop to take a breather which intimidates people from doing so. The abuse at ups and that i put up with was never put into perspective until i got older and worked other second jobs to get by and finally quitting and working at Amazon. UPS needs to be held accountable for what they are doing to people. Amazon has shown me how a real job should be and gave me a newfound sense of self respect that ups preyed upon. Amazon takes good care of their employees offering them good opportunities for growth within and outside the company. Amazon even helps their employees get nice work shoes, on top of an amazon.com discount! I can go on and on! Don't listen to the people who wanna complain about Amazon - they're either lazy or have never worked in another warehouse before! UPS is the real culprit behind the struggles of working class Americans. It is a greedy penny pinching corporation that will never care about their employees. We are nothing but replaceable to them. read more

If something is shipped to you via UPS and you aren't home to sign for it because you work, this is where you'll have to go. You have my sympathy. It's in the West Bottoms at least a mile north of Kemper Arena. It's not in the phone book, or on the UPS web-site, and they don't have a local phone number. If you arrive there on the day of the last attempted delivery, you'll have to wait around in hopes that the truck with your package returns to this, their base, before the 8 p.m. closing time. A couple of the people who work there are nice and will even wait with you past the 8 p.m. closing time. It's a cold industrial facility because, after all, it's a big truck depot, and not intended for the convenience of the public. You might wonder how you got in this situation simply by ordering a computer monitor or a pair of slacks on the internet. You've paid once for whatever you've bought but you'll have to pay again with time, driving, and exasperation. Too bad UPS can't deliver things to those handy little neighorhood UPS centers from which they make it so convenient to send things off! read more

Although I have found UPS to be more dependable than FedEx - I am somewhat put off at the fact that they have people answering phones outside of the United States who do not have a clue about the geographical placement of cities including the Lexington hub, Chicago or where Kansas City, MO is even located. I had a package scheduled for delivery on Thursday 2/4/16. The driver left an info notice without ringing my apt. I WAS HOME. Signed three places and printed my name in two. Did I mention I'm a UPS Choice member also?? Called UPS to get it held for Sat pickep at 715PM (15 minutes past their 7 PM deadline), No way said the Customer Service person at the 800 number. The station manager is not at all competent to hold this position. Seems all is well (for the most part) when there aren't any adverse conditions to deal with such as holiday season and bad weather. She doesn't have a clue on prioritizing workloads, etc. I think it is time for the folks in charge to laterally move this person to somewhere that she would be more comfortable, say, turning the lights on and off or emptying the trash. I am not sure there are enough negatives to put in on UPS delivery in Leavenworth, KS. If you are not there to receive your package, you get a little note with every block of the day checked for possible delivery on the next day. Great! In other words, be ready to sit in your house and wait the day out for a UPS delivery. Call them and you'll get a "well, that is just how it is" from the ever helpful telephone staff. One could pick up the package in Kansas City but that is nearly an eighty mile round trip run per package. If there was really another game in town, I would use it. UPS puts their chips in their commercial deliveries. Residential delivery is at the bottom of their priority list. I even signed up for the "my way" option and still get my packages when they are damn good and ready to delivery them, my preferences be damned. read more

So every time we (my roommate and I) order something and it is shipped UPS they stop at the building door (locked gate) with the failed to deliver notice already in hand. We have tried authorizing + specific instructions that all packages have to go to the leasing office. Never happens... so this time, I asked for it to be held at a store so I can just go pick it up myself. I do this with Fedex all the time, very simple. Online it says if your address doesn't match on your DL you may have to provide the tracking #. This is a lie, they informed me that in order to get my 1500$ package that I HAVE TO GIVE THEM A COPY OF MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR SS CARD. No lease agreement, utilities, tracking #'s, account you ordered it with... nothing else will work. Doesn't matter that my account explicitly states that all I have to do is provide my tracking # as well. Literally lost hours of time trying to navigate what should be an exceedingly simple process. Best part, is I am still dealing with it, its not over and my shipment is delayed even longer to have it shipped somewhere else now (god knows if it will actually show up either). Whether or not a company uses UPS or FEDEX will be a huge factor in whether I buy from them; even if i have to pay extra because this ordeal has already cost me time and money as is. read more

I've had to come out here a few times, and I'll say they're very friendly. I'm usually there at the end of the day, and I try to always follow protocol, try and help them out. I wish everything could go through the locally run UPS/USPS store on the Plaza :) They're wonderful. But I understand this is a big operation, and in spite of the timing and such, I think UPS on the whole does a really good job filtering their job candidates for only the most friendly and un-sketchy. Our local delivery man has, more than once, called my personal number and arranged to have me pick up my missed package while he's on his lunch break.
