The dining area is small, you likely cannot accommodate a larger group without a lengthy wait. We arrived around noon on a Sunday and waited about 15 minutes for a table. They provided a pager and indicated you could walk a 3-block radius, then recommended some shops nearby. When our pager went off we were promptly seated. Tables area is tight, there is not a lot of room to spread out. Our server came quickly and was friendly and accommodating. There are separate menus for breakfast and lunch/dinner. Options include crab cakes, Belgian waffles, paninis, pastas, and of course sweet or savory crepes. There are many options that are either gluten free or can be offered gluten free. The bread is homemade which always a bonus. We ordered a GF Turkey Melt, a Bacon & Cheddar Waffle, and Pesto Chicken Pasta. Everything came quickly and was delicious. We would all order what we had again, but with the expansive menu would be excited to try other options also. Many items on the menu can also be ordered in a smaller portion for a reduced price as well. I did this with my pasta, as I wanted to save room for a sweet crepe. For dessert, we ordered a Nutella Strawberry Crepe, a Black Forest (minus the cherry) Crepe, and the Hot Fudge Crepe (half portions). The Black Forest and hot fudge were filled with vanilla Hagan Dass ice cream. They were all so delicious and I recommend saving room to try one. They also offer their coffee beans to take home (and will grind them if desired) in half or full pound bags. The Praline Pecan is really lovely. Overall, if you are in the area, definitely give this place a try! It would be hard to be disappointed.

Review Visit: August 14th, 2017…read more Welcome to Broadway! There will be singing! There will be antics! There will be comedy/tragedy! Actually, I saw none of those things on the menu. If you are looking for a play, this place is not for you. If you are in for a nice pub/restaurant that has delicious food and great customer service, then this is the place for you. Stopping by here after a fun-filled day in Burlington was a fantastic idea. While browsing a list of places to eat, The Broadway showed up on Google and the photos of the food looked fantastic. So we entered the address into my GPS and hit the gas pedal. Upon getting there, I noticed that there was a cafe side. I didn't get the chance to see inside the cafe, but the idea of a cafe attached to a bar/grill is cool and very unique. I am sure that can lead to some pretty situations. The interior of is pretty nice. It is a bit of an upscale place without the upscale prices or the feeling of being under dressed. If you have ever been to Buffalo Wild Wings, then this place will feel really familiar, but with more local sports teams on the walls. After being seated and given menus and drinks, my friend and I locked eyes on the same delicious sounding burger right away. The BBQ Double Stack! So we placed an order and waited. What we thought would be a short wait for the food ended up being a super short wait. The food came out after maybe 7 minutes... and when they were placed down in front of us, our mouths were anxious to start chomping on the delicious-looking burgers. Upon sinking into the burgers, we knew with the first bite that these may have been the best burgers we had all year... maybe even Top 5 Burgers. Yes, these burgers were that good. My friend's sweet potato fries came with some cinnamon butter that was absolutely delicious on fries. To stop myself from raving about these burgers, I will wrap this up. Maybe if I ever get to re-visit, I can check out the cafe side. Also, if you ever find yourself in Burlington/West Burlington and want... nay... NEED a good burger, then make your way to The Broadway and thank me later on how happy your taste buds will be. Fin.

Review Visit: August 14th, 2017…read more All I have to say is... half-pound cookies. No, I do have a bit more to say than that. I've been to Burlington a handful of times and since my last visit, this cozy of a place must've opened for business... and what a treat for Burlington it is. First off, they have half-pound cookies that are delicious. In the featured image, you can see a snickerdoodle cookie and it is as delicious as it looks. I ordered a iced caramel latte to go with it and together, it was a perfect combination. They had quite a few different flavors to choose from and the chocolate chip was a close second. As typical with more coffeehouses/cafes, they have a small food menu with some delicious-sounding eats. What the Beanhouse brings to the table is they also serve alcohol. Nothing hard or crazy but if you want an afternoon beer with some half-pound cookies, then this is the place for you. For the Beancounter being fairly new, the interior tied together great and it was bright and welcoming. The lady working the counter was also really friendly and chatted us up a bit as we did the awkward 'first time here so we are looking around' thing. If you are in the area, this is a great place to stop. Grab yourself a beer/coffee, some food and a half-pound cookie or two!

We finally get our drinks. Our server comes back and appeared to be in a hurry when taking our dinner orders. I find this interesting because she was in no rush to come to our table to take our initial drink orders but rushed us when taking our dinner orders. We get our dinner and our drink glasses go empty while eating. So we wait and we wait and we wait and we wait and we wait for our server to come refill our drinks. And it is not like she never walked by our table; she did numerous times but never checked if we needed anything or noticed our empty drink glasses. Finally, we were able to get her attention and ask for refills. She then proceeds to grab our empty drink glasses without saying a word. For the rest of dinner, I think she initiated a refill for one of us but continued to let the other drink glasses go empty. Food was very good. The cinnamon bread was delicious! Good selection of items on their salad bar. Unfortunately, I had to scrape the house-salad-dressing container because no one noticed it was almost empty. Our prime ribs were cooked to the temps we requested and quite tender. The portions of their catfish filets were very generous. And did I mention the cinnamon bread was delicious?!? Due to the very poor service, we have no intention of returning. Which is unfortunate because we really enjoyed the food. Our server was not personable, not attentive, and quite frankly, not really nice. I cannot decide which was colder, our server's attitude or the ice in our empty drink glasses.
