No potatoes and I ordered a side of link sausage that were delicious! Very good service, comfortable booth seating, but poor parking. The price was low to moderate.

We sat there for a few minutes before a server brought some menus. She seemed pretty annoyed by our presence. All of the much older very conservative looking customers also seemed annoyed that we had came there to eat. They were out of the appetizer we wanted (onion petals) so we got fried mushrooms. Server was again annoyed when I thought the hot sandwiches on the menu were actual sandwiches instead of just mashed potatoes and gravy on top of meat. I opted for a tenderloin sandwich instead. It was massive and pretty good. The mushrooms were tasty but it was a very small order. A warning would have been awesome since I said "we want" instead of "I want" and it is clearly too small of an appetizer for two people. They're typically a much larger order anywhere else we go. My boyfriend tried some of my sandwich and said it was the best sandwich he'd ever tasted. He had popcorn shrimp and murpheys mess, neither of which he liked. The server got a lot more friendly right at the very end when I told her that we were sent there on somebody's recommendation who she knew.

Want to know who's an absolute delight - Judy from the namesake restaurant! Like most people, we've…read moreseen her videos online and when we were 45 minutes away, we decided we needed to check the place out! She indeed does have the best pancakes and also makes incredible other dishes! This gem is located about 45 minutes south of the quad cities, down a sunny paved road, deep in corn country! It's in a neighborhood and aside from the pancakes on the roof, it's pretty nothing flashy. It's a true down home type diner with seating for 60 ish inside and plenty of outdoor seating. The food here is both American and a couple Chinese dishes - yes, we had dumplings with our breakfast! Totally worth it! We also had chicken fried steak, steak and eggs, and omelette, biscuits and gravy, and her famous pancakes! The pancakes were pretty Epic! Fluffy, sweet, not overly heavy and made just perfect with double butter - because let's face it, you're not here for your health. They had us in and out in like 45 minutes - the place is a machine! We had a chance to talk with Judy, and she was as nice as we had hoped! We got to chat with her for a while about her favorite foods to make, and got a fangirl/boy picture with her outside the restaurant. They've got great food, small town charm and big time fun vibes here. Do like Judy say and "Come for Breakfast!"

While on a road trip throughout multiple states, I found myself not far so made it a point to stop in. I sat at the counter and received excellent service. I had the berry medley pancakes and the sausage patties. Everything was delicious! Coincidentally, while I was in Galesville Judy was in DC (not far from where I live). Her being there would have made the experience more exciting but I knew it was not a guarantee.
