Belwoods Poultry Farm turkey from Uppercut which they charged me $80 for 20lbs.

They lost me as a customer. I will never go here again. They are outright lying to customers. Telling them goods are antibiotic free and free run to charge a premium when their products are the same as No Frills. I checked the Belwood Poultry website and their products do not back up those claims. This is crooked tactics taking advantage of the consumer expecting a better experience and product. I don't trust this butcher and neither should you. He told me it was 3.99 a lb for an antibiotic free run turkey and that was obviously a lie. I'm shocked that during covid this butcher would want to cheat his customers.

I heart meat. St Lawrence Upper Cut is one of the many meat stalls open daily in the South Market building of the St Lawrence Market. Upper Cut has the best location - it's the first butcher stall in the middle aisle, directly in front of you as you enter via the Front Street main doors. I often end up buying my meat from here after perusing all the other stalls. The pre-made fresh souvlaki skewers (beef, lamb, chicken and pork) are a bargain at $1 each. They also have huge 6oz beef burgers for only $1 a piece. They have every cut of meat you could possibly be looking for, it's one of the biggest stalls in the market. They have plenty of staff and they are always super friendly. The prices are very good for the most part, although the meat is not quite as high end or fancy as the stuff at the Witteveen butcher next door.

    Best filet mignon of life.

This place had the freshest looking meat on my visit to St. Lawrence Market last Saturday with my Mom and Aunt. The Filet Mignon steaks I purchased were expensive ($7.00 each, tax included) but sweet baby Jesus, were they delicious. Only complaint is that the woman who served us, while very friendly, wasn't wearing gloves and proceeded to handle raw meat with her bare hands and then took our cash from us using the same hands she just touched the raw meat with. Eek! I thought maybe she used a different hand for each task, but my Aunt said she definitely didn't and was grossed out from purchasing anything from them.

The servers were friendly, and informative - explaining that the entire animal is used and not wasted. My favourite was the squash which was a perfect mix of savory and sweet. The rest of the table liked the beef tongue and smoked pork chop with the mushrooms. Portions were good as all of this was shared amongst 5 people.

The ambience, the service already left a great first impression to me, and this would be the perfect spot to have a celebration, or a cozy date. The food was magnificent. There are a lot of options to choose from, and the differing sizes of the dishes they offer allow you and your party to share and try just about anything you want. They emphasize the idea that most things are shareable, which is a bonus, as if you are dining in these type of restaurants, you just want to try as much as you can when you're there. The meat is extremely tender and seasoned so well. Even the leftovers for the next day taste just as amazing as it did the previous night. And yes, if you come visit, definitely try their sticky toffee pudding dessert. It is a shareable size and it will leave such a great final touch to your experience dining here. One thing to note, the dishes add up quite easily and will become an expensive meal after ordering a few different dishes. Overall, I would recommend everyone to try out this restaurant. The ingredients they source, the idea of using every part of meat so nothing gets wasted, makes it feel good to support the restaurant.

Found out about this place through friends as we were doing a custom order for Italian Spidinni…read more(spaducci, spaduch') for a big weekend camping cookout this weekend. I've typically always been a fan of the spaducci sticks from from Vincentina meats but over the years, I've noticed that the size and quality have been decreasing while the price has been increasing. Got a lead on Bonanza who truly is a meat boutique, every possible kind of meat, cut, animal, that you could want in every form (form whole lamb/rabbit) all the way down to fileted, portioned, chopped, etc. Basically if you can dream it... Bonanza can do it! The spaducci we got were easily double the size what I'm used to, and the lamb we perfectly marbled so I know when I eat these in about 6 hours they are going to be juicy, hot and delicious! It's a bit of a stretch to find the place, it's located off of Jevlan which you can access off of a side street that connects to Weston road just north of Hwy 7! This is my new go to butcher in Vaughan! Check them out! Eatcrest OUT!

The meat is FANTASTIC and the service is impeccable. Joe is a pleasure to work with, and so is the rest of his family, especially his dad, Charlie. Usually I do not tell people about the places I go because just in case they do not like it, but, here, I told everyone, and, will keep telling everyone. Ask Joe to prepare a porchetta for you, and then you cook it at home, it is better than any Vincentina meats, and, cheaper!!! Love it, just love it.,
