I've been to Bloom twice and each time has been excellent…read more Both times i've stopped by this little sandwich shop around lunch time and ordered from their extensive menu of breakfast items, sandwiches, homemade soups and salads. I've tried their sausage bloom with fried egg and caramelised onions and also their French onion soup and 'The Big Fish' toasted sandwich. These are great - just the perfect amount for lunch. Their coffees are good too. The people who work here are lovely and the service is fast. I can imagine it being the perfect place for a quick take out sandwich. I can't fault Bloom at all, and i'm sure the more time i spend in Nantwich, the more i'll enjoy coming to Bloom.

My usual staple sandwich when I come to Bloom is the NYC, and I have tried the roast chicken and…read morethe bacon bloom, however, this time, I decided to opt for something new and chose the Holy Mackerel (shredded smoked mackerel with lemon and black pepper on a bed of rocket, with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar). When it first arrived I was slightly overwhelmed by the amount of rocket on it, however, it turned out that this worked perfectly with the intense smokiness of the mackerel (and made me feel slightly healthier). The lemon, pepper, and balsamic vinegar added a nice sharpness and complimented the peppery rocket. Also, the locally baked seeded roll was noticeably fresh and delicious. If you decide to dine in at Bloom you also get a little bowl of fresh, homemade coleslaw. This is easily one of the best coleslaws I have ever eaten. It doesn't do anything particularly different to any other 'slaw', but it is sharp and zesty whilst also somehow managing to be creamy and luxurious. The sultanas adding a nice fruity sweetness as well. Overall, Nantwich (and Cheshire) is lucky to have such a fabulous sandwich shop and if I'm in need of a sandwich there aren't many places I would choose over it in the country. Some people have remarked to me that they find Bloom a little pricey (my bill came to £11 for the sandwich above, a coffee and a cold drink). However, although that is slightly more expensive than other similar places in Nantwich, I would rather pay the extra and know that I am getting quality food from locally sourced businesses and suppliers.

this deli and coffee shop is out of this world!! it is smack bang in the middle of crewe town…read morecentre and is without doubt the BEST place to eat in the whole of crewe!! its location is perfect being a few properties down from the front entrance to the lyceum theatre and right opposite crewe market. they are open every day apart from sunday and i think even do some pre-theatre suppers on occasion and run a bookclub frequently too. i am now in the habit of having breakfast here regularly in the coffeeshop above the deli. from the minute you walk in the door you are made to feel so welcome and the smell of the pastries cooking in the oven and the cheeses, olives, meats and breads that you can see and smell as you pass the big deli counter is divine! the coffeeshop is upstairs and isn't huge so you get a lovely atmosphere and you have a couple of specials boards of the goodies that are being served that day - along with the cakes on the counter for you to drool at while you have your coffee! the breakfast menu as well as the lunch menu consist plenty of choice with the best quality ingredients and the staff strive to help you and will do their best if there is a combination of something that you might like that isn't listed. a ordered a ploughmans once and i was able to pick the cheeses from the deli to have with it! delicious!! they make everything from scratch and the food is to die for. they do everything from cakes and pastries, toasties for breky and lunches they do pretty much everything lunch orientated! - baked potatoes, toasties, ciabattas, sandwiches, salads, soups and so on. it is so much cheaper than places such as m&s or the chain coffeeshops and the service and food puts anything else quite frankly to shame. this place i really cannot recommend highly enough and everyone who reads this you so have to go here to believe it!

Cute little tea shop in the heart of Nantwich. Everything home made & the prices are reasonable…read more The tea shop is small with only 8 tables and a few round the corner. The food tastes lovely (I had a salmon bagel) very fresh and full of flavour. They have a Cheshire breakfast on the list which looks amazing, but I'm trying to get rid of my Christmas turkey next time I will have it. I would highly recommend this little tea shop if you are around the Nantwich area. Good atmosphere & the staff are very friendly. They have won awards in the past for there lovely home made food and cakes, I can see why. Get there early to get a table as it is usually busy :)

Ginger & Pickles is a hidden gem in the wilds of Cheshire, overflowing with more local produce than you could ever want for. They've won National awards for their dedication to the art of tea and I've heard they do a lovely afternoon tea with all the delicate trimmings. Which is pretty impressive for a dinky little tea shop in Nantwich. But, what they lack in floor space (bijou rather than pokey) they make up for with charm and individuality. As well as tea, my caffeine addiction is also adequately catered for with their bath-sized creamy lattes. What I really enjoy about my trips to G&P Is that it is genuinely hassle-free. I know that I can get healthy local and delicious food every time I walk in the door. And I promise I'm not just saying that because they gave me a free birthday flapjack!
