Although I have a personal background serving Special Ed. High School students for a number of…read moreyears, I must admit that the staff I met from the principal to the 3rd grade teachers exemplified what we want to see shaping our youth. By their positive and supportive actions with their students, teachers demonstrated a loving, caring, and nurturing model for individual and groups of students. As an educator, I witnessed teachers who gave of themselves to help build the character and moral fiber of their students. Students responded to the model set for them in that they we're recognized and awarded for "Good Citizenship" (how supportive kind, and encouraging they were to each other on a day-to-day basis). Parental involvement in children's education is encouraged by reading with their child at least 20 mins. a night and providing opportunities for children to continue reading on their own. A child's education in school is stressed as very important to success. Therefore, even if a child only attends school half a day because of a doctor's appointment Etc., it is important that they be in school the other half of that day. I was impressed by the rich learning environment and the positive responsiveness of the children I observed. In keeping with the importance of reading, I was encouraged that they were having a Book Fair while we were there which then carried over into the next day. Needless to say, I added to the support of the school and the children in our home by participating greatly in the Book Fair. I was told that they will provide another Book Fair next February. The school is in need of people who would be willing to volunteer their time and services to help in the Book Fair or just to assist teachers in the classroom.

Instead we were called in by three individuals, and were told that the school was not a good fit for our 4 year old. No suggestion's on what we can do to help her. Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience" Where was the kindness, humility, gentleness and patience with my child? This school should be ashamed of themselves and everything they represent. They have destroyed a four year olds self esteem. An innocent child who has never done anything to anyone.

Ms. Sam and Ms. Shelly are very warm and inviting to our children and open with he parents about what is going on in the school. Our children especially love the summer program put on by the entire staff which is in a word 'Epic'. The school it's self is decorated in a way that our children are constantly finding something new on the wall paintings. Our children are sure challenged and the use of the Tadpoles system keeps up in constant contact with the teachers at the school and our children's progress. This is definitely a "school" as opposed to a daycare, when we moved our children here we saw and almost immediate difference in their vocabulary and skills. The parents are also very involved at the school which is a huge plus for us as it show a more community effect for which we are thankful for. If you so choose to enroll your children at the Worthington Goddard I believe that you will be happy that you did. The cost is only slightly more than we paid before but is well worth the value that you get when it comes to your child's education. At Worthington Goddard our children are definitely getting off on the right foot.

We have always felt that he has been provided with a safe and educational environment. The quality of his preschool experience has exceeded our expectations. The teachers surpass all of the others in other centers as they actually care about the children. There is no yelling, they are compassionate and the kids are all happy there. My son is in Pre-K and is nailing his sight words and already starting to read. They have parent-teacher conferences that go into the details of the concepts they are learning, they truly go beyond. Meal time uses the concept of family dinners, where kids scoop their servings. We love this as it teaches them how to take care of themselves and keeps them involved. My picky eater has tried so many new foods and keeping him engaged in his food choices is a win-win. A bonus here is that they take credit card and I can earn miles! We also love the Director Sarah, she is awesome! My son loves it, and my daughter is looking forward to Spring Break and Summer Camp!

Every day was wonderfully planned and executed. They taught the entire alphabet and numbers and even potty trained in these last months. All difficult jobs for one child, let alone a whole class of children. They both excel at their jobs. The downside to this location is the administration staff. The director and assistant director do not seem to be excited about their jobs and their attitude is expressed in everything they do. Their contact with parents is not always pleasant, and on occasion, they have been rude and hostile. I found daily contact with either of them to be very unpleasant. I would not recommend this location, if you have alternatives.

We came from out of state and my husband did extensive research and interviews with the all the schools in the area. They both love their teachers and i hope so since they spend over 9-10 hours a day there!! More than they spend with us. They simply care about the kids.
