I have a number of piercings and tattoos, so this is not my first experience with a piercing studio. This is a very clean studio for piercing and tattooing even though my first experience there was with piercing only. I have enough experience to know a clean set up when I see one! I came in as a walk-in and although the owner, Paul, had an appointment coming in, I was able to schedule with him within a few days. Paul is absolutely amazing! He is patient, even though I changed up what piercing I was getting when I got there! I have seen other shops/piercers become impatient, even cancelling appointments with people when they change they minds (not me that time LOL), but Paul was very understanding and worked with me and we got into it! He explained everything as he went, several times, so I understood completely even though I'm very experienced at piercings. He was quick, but very exact when he did the piercing. I've had other piercings that were much more painful that didn't need to be. Looking back, if I had had Paul do some of those piercings they wouldn't have been near as painful. He explained the healing process, provided the wound healing solution with the piercing, and advised about everything regarding replacement jewelry. He is an awesome piercer, his studio is CLEAN and beautiful, he provides all the information and options you could possibly ask for up front, he takes the care and time to explain every step to you as he goes, and I don't think you could ask for a better experience rather you are getting your first piercing or your 20th. I HIGHLY recommend Paula and Uplifted Body Piercing. I'll be going back for my replacement jewelry and for further piercings in my ears because he is just that good. I've had piercings from Gainesville to Miami and Paul is one of the best and least painful. You will not regret going there or taking someone there for their first piercing. Sorry for any typos! Took my daughter to get her eyebrow pierced for her 15th bday. This is the third time I have taken my daughter to Paul for piercings and as usual Paul was impeccably professional, courteous and kind. he is thorough in his explanation of everything he is doing, he makes sure to explain what the piercing will entail, and what will need to be done for aftercare. But the main reason that I keep going back to Paul for myself, and my daughter is the cleanliness of the business and the care that Paul takes to ensure that everything remains sterile throughout the entire process! I've had several piercings done by Paul and almost all of them are still going strong and awesome. My double nostrils are now stretched and still extremely even, my philtrum is centered perfectly and still one of my favorites. The only one that has since been retired is my tongue piercing to make way for my split tongue. Each where such a good experience with great jewelry that I still enjoy. He was very professional and made me feel so relaxed and informed and took the extra measure to insure that the placement was as close to perfect as it could be. Yesterday I received my first ever piercing(minus ears as an Infant) and was scared to death! Paul made the procedure very quick yet detailed. Paul is super friendly, very knowledgeable, and takes pride in his work. I was able to schedule an appointment via text which was a nice option to have. Two nipple piercings took about 35 minutes from arrival to departure, which I appreciated that nothing was rushed and care was taken to make sure they were perfect. I've been going to Paul for about 6 years now. He is extremely skilled. He doesn't lie to you and say a piercing isn't going to hurt, he tells you yeah it hurts but it's temporary pain and is done after a few seconds.
