So naturally, when it came to finding a preschool for my daughter when we moved to HMB, I was very particular in what I was looking for. I visited a few preschools in the area that made me shudder. I visited some that were pretty decent. But CCP-HMB Preschool was by far above the rest in meeting my standards. There are things that I still wish were different- i.e. the lack of grass/garden/nature outdoors but I think this school does what they can to make up for the mostly asphalt playground. Highlights that made me enroll my daughter: Small classroom ratios*interactive teachers*efforts made to do regular field trips to the library, downtown, feed & fuel, etc* Music class with John* Ample supervision with bathrooms & classrooms close to each other* lots of art & math supplies * professionalism of the greater CCP organization* Efforts made to have bilingual staff* an understanding of and efforts made to implement the ECERS/DRDP & NAEYC Accreditation standards.

That was such a relief to me as I wasn't going to force my daughter to be diaper-free before she was ready... but at the same time, I needed her to go to preschool. I was surprised at how much they do for the children. It wasn't immediately known to me all the activities that the kids do during the day. They do many art projects, zoophonics, healthy habits, yoga, walks around town, trips to the library etc. Wish I'd known this before, it would have made the selection a no-brainer. The teachers are very nurturing and caring. My daughter just loves her school and I'm very happy she's there and that they do a wonderful job. The peace of mind this gives me makes all the difference.

When we walked into our tour at Sunrise, it just felt right. I truly can't say enough good things about this daycare. From day one, the whole team was caring and genuine. My daughter is usually shy around new people, but she transitioned to Laura and the other caretakers without any issues. Zero tears were shed during the first few drop-offs, which shocked us and tbh got me a little butthurt lol I truly appreciate the team's flexibility and tailoring things to our family's specific needs (e.g. naps). My LO attended Sunrise from 9 months until she was almost 2. And 'til this day, we still think about / talk about the food at Sunrise. My LO is the pickiest eater at home, but she always ate well at Sunrise. Picture nutritious, comforting, home-cooked meals cooked by your mom/auntie/grandma--that's what's served every day. Personally, I'm jealous of the food all the kids got to eat! (: I'd recommend this daycare to any friend or family member without hesitation (and I already have). But, after trying home care, I needed something more stable. I was very hesitant, and was critical the entire time. But, I tried it and I am very glad I did. The people there are fantastic - warm, fun, nice and LOVE kids. Heck, a few even came to my sons birthday party one weekend. That is how much they love their kids. I felt like I can talk to them, have them listen and we can have an active and engaging conversation about my child. They will do whatever I ask and they are totally approachable. I do have to say, there was a period of time a few years ago when the center went through some employee turnover but since that ended, the center seems to have been doing great. If you are looking for a center for you infant, toddler or preschooler, I can't recommend this center enough.

They have an incredible play area outside the kids love and the center is very clean. The kids love it! The director of the center is very responsive and has been really easy to work with. I have been really happy with the center and my little boy is so happy every time I pick him up. I can not say enough nice things about this place or the people that work here. Yes, you will pay a bit more for child care at a center than a home day care...but the extra price has been worth it.

We looked at multiple facilities, but felt right at home when we toured Super Munckins Academy. The teachers Michael, Romaria, and Liliane are all very kind and caring. I have seen them treat all the children as if they are family. My son has always been excited at drop off, relieving a lot of anxiety when we first started daycare and every day after. I always know that he is in good hands and am never stressed or worried during the day. Every time we pick him up he is smiling ear to ear. They provide frequent status updates and photos throughout the day which is much appreciated. They also utilize baby sign language as well which really helped foster our son's communication skills. In addition to this they taught my son to say please/thank you before 18 months which, I will tell you, is the cutest thing ever. They do daily teaching activities and go to the park as well. They get a lot of outdoor play as well which my son loves. They are able to accommodate special requests as well (ie early nap time if needed based on appointments). Both my husband and I work 8-5 most days so we were worried about finding a place that could accommodate our work hours. Michael worked with our schedule and was able to plan early drop off/pick up for us which was much appreciated! They even are able to provide weekend care with advanced notice if one of the teachers are available.

My husband and I really appreciate the atmosphere this home-based daycare provides as it is important that young children enjoy their early years from infant-preschool. It is more than a family based daycare (note 14 kids is the maximum enrollment) as the program mimics preschool curriculum and teaches kids ABCs, shapes, coloring, name writing and whole lot more. Special kudos for introducing different languages- they speak Spanish and Portuguese and this place is well diverse. The teachers are all very caring and attentive to her needs and have been instrumental in her preparation for kindergarten. Each day (weather permitting) the kids have outdoor play and they visit different neighborhood parks, visit the library, and seasonal parks. One of the many perks is that they utilize the Bright Wheel App where they post many pictures and short videos throughout the day, so parents can see how their children are up too:) The location is ideal too as the home is next to SMPD, library, various shops and minute away from Foster City, 101/92 freeways. His first week started with Lego camp where the kids got training from an experienced outside crew followed by individual building of a city with the CCP crew after lunch led by Allison and Mary who are such wonderful people. The single best thing (aside from providing and safe and caring place to learn!) is that Cathy provides all meals and snacks.
