I was immediately impressed with Dr. Herre's knowledge of TMJ. He also teaches other dentist how to treat this condition so I would consider him an expert. Dr. Herre made me a bite splint and at first, I will be honest, the expense was really hard to swallow. However, when you consider that the hour long follow up visits (all included) for weeks and weeks afterwards, it really makes the cost more understandable. Anyway, I have had my bite splint for 5 weeks now and the proof is in the pudding. I went from someone who spent probably 10 days a month in bed with migraines to being nearly headache free. Before I also had other symptoms like not being able to chew foods, ear pain, facial pain and all of it has disappeared. My husband is thrilled that I'm not tired all the time anymore. If you are looking for an excellent dentist, you should check out Dr. Andrew Moore in Shawnee, Kansas. When we first moved here, I had a veneer pop off one of my front teeth literally on the day when they were delivering all our stuff to our new house. Dr. Moore's staff got me in right away, and didn't even charge me to glue it back on. We have gone to him ever since. His office is state of the art and beautifully decorated.
