Everyone treated him with kindness, compassion, and dignity, and it gave our family tremendous peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. We especially want to recognize Director Lisa for taking the time to personally make rounds and check on patients. Her leadership, compassion, and genuine concern for each patient were evident, and it made a lasting impression on our family. A heartfelt thank you to nurses Klarissa, Yesenia, and our wonderful night nurse, Maddy, whose kindness, compassion, and attentive care meant so much to our family. We also want to recognize nursing assistants Julie, Bree, and Victoria, occupational therapist Gabby, and physical therapist Julia. Every one of you went above and beyond to make sure my brother was comfortable, safe, and cared for. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the entire Tower A, 3rd Floor team. Every person we encountered--nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, housekeeping, dietary staff, and everyone working behind the scenes--treated my brother with respect, patience, and genuine compassion. It truly takes a team to provide such outstanding care, and each of you played a part in making a difficult time easier for our family. Because my brother has a mild intellectual disability, it means so much to us that he was treated with dignity, patience, and understanding. Knowing he was surrounded by people who truly cared gave our family tremendous comfort and peace of mind. Thank you to everyone at Onvida Health for your dedication and compassion. You cared not only for our brother but also for our entire family. We will never forget the exceptional care and kindness shown by the Tower A, 3rd Floor team. You are all deeply appreciated.

This is a tough one. Most (not all) of the actual providers are okay to great, but the company is…read moremercenary and has inappropriate clerical and front office staff training. Mercenary: Two charges and two copays for a (not at the hospital) visit to see one provider for one service. Maybe its legal, but its certainly morally ambiguous. Poor Training: Unable to schedule follow up visit at time of current visit. Have to call back in a month. More Poor Training: Tried to schedule a different service and was handed a number to call somebody else for an insurance company we don't even have. Then I realized they were looking at somebody else's account. Instead of apologizing and trying to get things straight they just seemed to want to get us out of the office as fast as possible. Saying they would check with our insurance and call us. It's not covered by the insurance I was willing to pay out of pocket, but they never even let it get to that point. My mom needs hearing aids. I'm willing to pay in cash with $100 bills if need be, but Onvida's ENT clinic on Avenue B just wanted to get rid of us. Generally, Dr Patrick Ford is a great provider there, but he could stand to know a little more about the other directly related services within the clinic. I'd give Dr Ford 4 stars, but Onvida as an organization would get just 1. Given that the cost of Onvida (a community non-profit medical organization) is among the most expensive in the country, my experience today taking my mom to see the doctor was very disappointing. I went with my mom today with every intent of doing whatever was necessary to get her hearing aids going, and left feeling like Onvida doesn't want our business at any price. It was pretty terrible.

The care was great and her family felt supported through the process. I'm grateful for all of the care they gave her. I called the front office and gift shop the day after she was admitted and they were able to seamlessly help me send her flowers to her room. The type of care she received is very much appreciated.

So much for the black and yellow band. During the night the nurse knocked on my door to come in. I was sleeping so she woke me up, gave me a pill and left. Over an hour later came the knock on the door for another pill. In the meantime I used the bathroom several times. I saw the pull cord on the wall by the camode, but I used ths sink. If I would have fallen there was no way I would be able to reach that cord. I had a problem sleeping ,so I got up to walk around. If I would have fallen I could not reach the button on the bed. Not one nurse would have known that I was down. Those closed doors keep out the sounds, they also keep the sounds in. So much for the FALL RISK bands on my wrist. More care needs to be taken. When a person is sick they don't want to be shut off in a room. I hope I don't need to be hospitalized soon
